10 years old and still going – I inherited this shaver from my dad who bought it in 2003 and hardly used it. Bought new cutters and foil 5 years ago and installed new batteries this year. With the new batteries, it only needs charging once a week and the machine feels as if it has a new life. Tried several newer and more expensive models but this old Remington is still better.… Read more

Ease of use, close shave, light weight, portable, long time between charges. Foil is easily damaged, cutter retaining clips are weak.

Bad – Gave mine the flick after replacing the foils for the third time. There are better options around that do a much better job Light, cheap, clean shave poor battery life, foils need replacing too often as they are too thin

OK – I tried this one after using a few more expensive shavers like Philihaves and Braun - actually found the cheap Remington gave a gentler and closer shave. Remington are shavers - they have been doing it forever - so one would expect a good shave even in a relatively cheap machine - and it does deliver this Light. Cheap. Reasonably good shave. Gentle on skin. Easy to clean Charge a bit short but not too bad. Takes a long time to get close shave

OK – I wouldn't recommend this even at the low price (what, about $65?) because I think you would get something better for a little more (like a Braun 4775 for $76 at Big W). Cheap, shaves "OK". Battery life is pathetic, just one short shave. Hopeless on neck hairs, mine lie down very flat and only a blade pulled upwards really cuts them well, but this thing barely does anything and irritates in the process.

Excellent – I have had one of these electric shavers for a few years now; it was my first electric razor and I am still pretty happy with it. I couldn't justifying paying huge amounts for an electric razor, and to this day I still do not know how the really expensive ones can give you a closer shave. I have found this razor to be reliable and the… Read more

battery seems to still last and hold a decent charge.

The "clippers" are useful for gettig rid of the odd hair or two that defy the cutters, or for cleaning up / thinning out a beard. Good value for money. Clean and smooth shave. Reliable. Good battery life. Replacement foils and cutters are pretty high.

Good – For the price it is very good value and except for the pouch size fulfills the needs of the average user. A better shaver costs far too much more. Powerful, clean cut with light pressure. Charge lasts at least six (6) shaves. Trimmer picks up "escaping" hairs & trims around ears and nose without any "catch and pull" effect. The offset head angle… Read more

makes it much easier to keep both foils square to the skin, compared to the previous model. My only complaints are (a) the cost of replacement foil and/or cutter is disproportionately high, and (b)the carry pouch does not accommodate the cord plug alongside the shaver. I have to leave the plug hanging out.

Good – I wouldn't even consider buying the expensive models and brands as i can't see that they could do a better job than this one. So seems to me to be good value for money, except for the replacements mentioned above. It gives me a good, smooth shave. The trimmer works well on the odd whisker that may have been missed. Comfortable in the hand and… Read more

fits well against any part of the face. Sometimes it feels a little scratchy, even after having now used it for about 6 months.

The cost of the replacement cutters and foils are too high.
