Purchased one of these from the shaver shop after having Phillips shavers over the years. I have had it for 3 months and just threw it in the bin. This is rubbish you get exactly what you pay for.

Not pleased with the experience – This machine caused severe itching and redness after just one use, despite purchasing it yesterday. Unlikely to use it again. Not pleased with the experience; feels like a waste of time and money.

DO NOT BUY! Life is too short – The R2 takes so long to clear my face of hairs it is not only a waste of money - it is a waste of time. Further, the manual says to expect some rashes and sore skin until your face adjusts and/or the shaver wears in. After 1 year with this useless shaver I still have rashes and still have a sore face after every shave. I bought it because batteries wear out faster than the blades and corded is better for the environment and it was at the cheaper end of the options available. But I expect a shave to take < 5 minutes - not 15 minutes! And it refuses to shave certain hairs at all!
I've had Remington shavers before and they've been okay. BUT NOT THIS ONE. The brand damage this razor must be doing to Remington's brand must be enormous. I've had 6-7 electric shavers since I started shaving and this one is by far the worst ... by a long long way.
Don't buy this shaver - it is waste of money! And your time! You have been warned.

After this review I shall put it into the rubbish bin – This Remington Rotary Shaver PR1235 looks similar to an excellent Philips Shaver Series 1000 AquaTouch that I have replaced it with. A several days old beard did not shave well, and my shaving caused skin irritations. It was a "cheap" special offer, still too expensive for the rubbish bin.

Cheap for a reason – OK it was cheap and there is a reason obviously, it is rubbish, blades are blunt already, pull instead of cut and leave a shaving rash into the bargain. Buy a new set of blades, costs more than the shaver. Should have paid more for something decent. This will be the last Remington that I buy.
