1970's shavers were way better – The box is wonderfully presented. Every detail explicitly explained and expanded on. By the time you've finished reading it, you believe you could perform open heart surgery...LOL. It says it's Virtually Indestructible. Quite apparently the test team didn't give one to an eight year-old to try out! It's 2023, and yet they can't make a shaver that can cut effectively without the razor burn. I'm 75 now and this is the first time I've had razor burn. The cutting blades are not up to the job. Either poor quality steel, or poor design; take your pick. Plus, the speed of the blades is too slow, IMO. One has to go over the various sections a half dozen times (at least) to get an acceptable finish. The top lip can't be done well at all, & I don't have a heavy beard. Very disappointing over-all. Now get this, I bought and el-cheapo of eBay. A four inch long, cylindrical job, for $7. It's a single blade/cutter. It cuts way better than the Remington. I'm glad I got it on special at Big W for $63, but I'll be going back to shaving with a blade and oil. A sincerely regrettable purchase.

An Excellent Shaver – I use this shaver every day for a smooth shave. I have now had this shaver for almost 2 years and in January I purchased 2 sets of shaver foils (SPF-PFAU) Remington Titanium Comfort Pro. from Spectrum Brands Australia, 11 Chifley Drive, Mentone, Vic. When first using this shaver I used it regularly until the battery was very low which was a mistake, as it 'pulled' when shaving. It is advisable to charge the shaver after every shave to obtain 'full power' for a clean shave the next time. With an electric shaver you have continuous power. This shaver is very portable and can be used almost anywhere, there is a recharge point.

This Remington Shaver has replaced 3 previous Remington Triple foil shavers that each lasted many years, e.g. 9+. I chose this shaver after careful research of many shavers. This shaver has 10 good features:- 1. intercept trimmer; 2. pivot head; 3. cordless/rechargeable; 4. battery - NiMH; 5. full charge time 2hrs; 6. cordless shave time up to 60 minutes; 7. 5 min. quick charge; 8. 1LED indicator; 9. it's waterproof; 10. replacement foil SP-PR1855AU. I have used SPECTRUM BRANDS Australia PTY LTD for replacement foils during the many years of Remington shaver use. Their Customer Service has been Excellent and the respond time of any parts ordered very prompt.
