Republica Organic Signature Blend

This company has gone downhill fast. They now take your money for subscription orders then do not deliver the goods. There is no communication as to why your order has not been despatched, and they do not respond to emails or phone calls. Do not waste your money. Show details
Dirty dishwater – Coffee offers variable creama from rusty brown to frothy dirt brown. Scent is fairly pungent and unpleasant. Taste is strong with aspects of wood and earthy flavours. Not what I would call a good combination. Show details
Smooth caramel notes? – This is not a $30 kg coffee. The $12kg coffee in the blue bag, ALDI is vastly superior. Nice packaging.
Average tasting coffee coming from this mild roasted bean – By the reviews here, all this Organic, Mild etc etc BS is just jargon, I don't think that most people here know, what a really good coffee bean is or how it should be toasted or what a perfect expresso should be. This 'Republica - Signature Espresso' organic blend (as its called today and its new name is) which was called 'Republica - Organic… Read more
Signature Blend' is a mild roast Arabica bean coffee, its taste is not that predominant and true to a strong Arabica taste that is needed for a tasteful aromatic coffee, its a mild roast and has a mild aroma, which is not to my taste. I like a very dominant rich aroma bean and a darkly roasted bean, to give that predominant Arabica coffee taste with a flamboyant aroma to my coffee cup. i picked this up 'on special' at Woolworths for $18.00 and it will be the last time I will buy it. Not to my taste
Not bad coffee – This coffee isn't bad but I would say a better and cheaper supermarket coffee is Aldi's whole bean Ethiopean/Brazilan/Columbian blend. Most of the other reviews here read like advertising copy.
So some reviews here are being written by those in the supply chain? That can't be right! – I think there is a conflict of interest if those in the business of selling their coffee through Coles are also reviewing the coffee!
Fairtrade Organic Coffee - Delicious – From the supermarket brands, this is the best tasting coffee ever. It ranges from 1 to 5. A 1 rating being mild and a strong rating being 5. We use the number 4 rating. Smells and tastes utterly delicious. We buy the beans in 200 gram packets and grind them up at home. Our coffee grinder was only $30 but does an excellent job. Always a slight panic if the supermarket has sold out :)
High Quality Coffee Beans: Full-bodied, smooth, delicious coffee – I love this coffee, it is the only type of coffee I drink at home, unless I run out of course and then I panic about where I can get it next, as it has often run out from Woolworths supermarkets. I have tried many other supermarket brands and they pale into comparison. Other supermarket brands usually taste stale and bitter and are too sharp and… Read more
pungent. This coffee is perfect: full-bodied, smooth, and delicious. You can make it as mild or as strong as you like. It is very comforting and delivers high quality coffee that you expect when you go to Zaraffas or a good cafe. I use a plunger and when you add a little cream you think you are drinking a perfectly brewed store bought coffee. I too love the aroma, and people are always commenting that our house smells like a cafe!
+ All of the above
- The 1kg bags have been selling out on the Gold Coast/ Brisbane Woolworths stores and are not being restocked quickly enough.
Good – I love this coffee, great morning or afternoon, lovely gentle flavour and available in the supermarket. Signature uses ethical beans with Fairtrade label and organic so no chemicals either Republica has chosen four origins and blended them to create a coffee that tastes great however it's brewed. We use plunger in our house and it's aroma is… Read more
