I blame bunnings for stocking this – your plants wouldnt be any worse if you actually used agent orange. this stuff is lethal, Do not under any circumstances use this.

Great product at a great price – I have used this product to transplant cuttings. I find it very good. I sometimes add in a little soil wetter, water crystals and cow manure for flowers, herbs and vegies and coarse sand for succulents. I find other reviews saying it “killed plants” just fake news. I am very disappointed that Bunnings is no longer stocking this product and the… Read more

other $3.95 potting mix and compost mix. I hope that was not due to it underselling competitor products at twice the price.

Very bad soil it will kill you plant within 2 days – I purchased the product it kill my plant within a few days. Six months later I gave the product another chance to prove me wrong but it kill my tree plant within 2 days. I discovered the mixture must have a strong chemical as my brick path stained and discoloured. I complained to Bunnings and they contacted the supplier but the manufacturer said… Read more

there is nothing wrong with their products. Please be ware if you intend to buy this. Cheap does not mean to kill a plant.

Rubbish potting mix – Bought 4 bags of Richgro All Purpose Potting Mix from Bunnings Lake Haven $3.99 each. Disgusting stuff. Tried tomatoes and various other plants - plants went backward and nearly died. Repotted all plants and the mix stank something awful. As commented elsewhere, fungi grew. Rang Richgro and to voice my dissatisfaction and was completely… Read more

dissatisfied with their response i.e. read the fine print on the back, it states that it is not in fact “All Purpose”. Suggested that they change the name as it is misleading.

Water repellent potting mix but does grow Fungi – I bought from Bunnings several bags RichGro General Purpose Potting Mix by 20 bags & also bought one bag each of Richgro Compost & Water Saver Mulch at a cost of $90.85. It has become water repellent within 2 weeks & has grown various Fungi in the top of potting mix. I sent an email to RichGro with accompanying pictures but thus far they have not… Read more

bothered to respond. Clearly, not worth buying, I will have to report 25 pots or risk loosing the plants.

You get what you pay for – Purchased from Bunnings as the cheapest option available. Contains mostly pine bark and rocks. Stats soil wetting agent, but goes as hard as rock that water can not penetrate it Show details

Definitely don’t buy Richgro products – Richgro is not recommended by any prominent garden expert - due to its low grade quality. Check their bags - there is no Australian Quality standards ticks of approval. It’s a cheap brand in every regard - especially when it comes to quality. Show details

Richgrow garden soil – We bought SIX bags of this mix to top up a garden in our Body Corp garden. The selling point for me was the "soil wetting agent" it claims to contain. I can't get water to penetrate it without physically hand mixing it to turn it to mud! When I water again the following day, the water once again beads on the surface until I hand mix it again. When… Read more

it looks like it is well soaked, I scratch the surface only to discover that it is like dust just beneath. It has caused me far more work than I had hoped for. Bunnings won't compensate us, of course, unless we "return the product"! How do you do that with garden soil?? I'm extremely disappointed as I have now wasted money on a community garden, which I was trying to enhance! Need to spend more money on a better product!

Absolute rubbish – Horrible horrible horrible stuff, very disappointed it is full of lumpy clay sticks and rocks. Unable to grow anything in it. I definitely do not recommend this product. I should of used my normal supplier of gardening products but I thought I would give it a go. Never buy a Richgro product again.  Show details

Feeling gyped with Richgro garden soil mix – Very disappointed with Richgro garden soil mix! In the centre of the mix were a number of huge clay lumps! I want to pay for garden soil, not have the bag weighted with clods of clay! Quite angry actually at this deceit. I bought it from Bunnings and yes, they seem to be stocking huge amounts. Not money well spent! Richgro obviously the ones getting rich!  Show details

Richgro 25L All Purpose Garden Soil Mix - 50%(Approx) Fresh WoodChips – I brought Potting mix and Garden Mix to repair some of the Lawn that went bad during the last few months draught. ALDI was OK but the Richgrow 25L All Purpose Garden Soil Mix (Bunnings I/N: 2961503) was 50% (Approx) uncooked Fresh wood Chips. As soon as I sprayed water all the wood chips were laughing at me. Richgrow is notoriously poor in… Read more

quality and Bunnings is filling all its shelves with its products. Loss of BBC /Masters etc are great loss to Australian Consumers. Richgrow should state in its products that it will take years to transform these approx 50% wood chips to soil.
