them on backwards to cover the edge of the rim) and there has not been a single chip since. You can see where the stones are bouncing off of the rim skin. Also I have had no issues with the product not sticking to the rim. I recently did a round trip from gold coast to sydney in pretty horrible weather and there is no signs of them coming off.

All in all, awesome product but I would recommend checking the shape of your rim before buying as I am sure there are some rims that will not work.

Skin sticks very well as long as you follow instruction :) – So many reviews saying the skin comes off - well not for me after I've had it for a few months now. You just gotta follow the instruction! They don't stick – I bought 2 sets one blue one black, because I couldn't decide which colour would look good. Did the acetone, my car is only 2 weeks old, already scraped one rim so decided to get rimskins. They don't stick, saw two fly off while driving, no idea when the other 2 went. and awaited a reply. Their reply was "what kind of acetone did you use?" I sent an image of the product. 5. No response until I sent a follow up 6. Their response was - "Please return to our POB" (I copy and pasted, no signature, no name, no branding, no nothing) by this time I had popped them in the bin and they were gone. 7. My response was "Hello – apologies I am not able to send the product back. Can you please advise if a credit would be available? Honestly, these things did not meet my expectations" 8. Again no response until I followed up. When they did respond it was "Hello Justin In order to get a credit, you must return the product for testing." 9. My response was "That is very disappointing. I have seen multiple reports online of people having the same issue. You do not need to test, you simply need to stand by your product and offer a refund or replacement. If you had told me immediately that you needed the product back you could have had it. It seems you are putting the blame for the product not working on me or at best, deflecting any responsibility for a faulty product. Again, very disappointing." - no reply as yet

These guys obviously do not stand by their product and have no care for good, honest customer service. I wish I had read all these reviews before purchasing. I hate it when companies do this to their customers.

Customer Service Nil – I bought Rimskins for my car. Confirmed the model of my Car and ordered them. Unfortunately my msg wheels do not allow for rimskins to fit so requested a refund as the pack were unopened. Just got the usual “check our website for returns - they do not refund @ if they do cause of a manufacturing fault they charge 20% restocking fee. 30km/hr it wont. Hit a curb a few times when parking, protected the rim and didnt even came off... This is a great product!

Absolute Trash Product and "Company" – I just wanted to let you all know to stay clear, do not waste your money. Read all the other review and you will see for yourself! Here is why. Basically they don't stick. I purchased the Acetone and prepped the wheels for hours like the Nicholas said, followed ALL INSTRUCTIONS, and within 2 days they fell off. to purchase another (single) strip to correct my error. All in all, the product is excellent. I have had several enquiries as to how and where I purchased this great product. I was at a loss when I was told it would cost me over $120 per wheel to repair. Until I found Rimskins!

Works well ! – Works well take a bit of time to prep the wheels but once done, they're pretty solid. I think it's better to clean and prep the wheels on a hot day to ensure that there are no water residue left behind to ensure the 3M bond properly. quite soft & flexible so there were no damages to the body work.

I've tried using eBay version prior however the tape provided was subpar and would completely peel off in a week.

The most annoying part maybe leftover glue residue ? Maybe Rimskins can include a removal wipe as well that would be awesome !

Complete garbage – Don't waste your money on these pieces of crap they stick and look good for about a week then they lose their stick where they join and start falling off they also pull the clear coat off your rims and when you contact them about it they try and blame your rims and don't accept any responsibility and are very rude to deal with

Horrible to deal with – Product is of poor quality i did not even attempted to put it on . Rubber is tacky tape wont stick seller very hostile and rude. Asked for a refund after returning in new unused box . Unfortunately got a rude unhelpful response and have to claim thru PayPal. Please don't waste your money.

Read the instructions – Have been using them for a couple of years now. As they state in the blurb won't protect at speed >5km/h impact fairly correct. Apply in above 15c. They stick fine just leave to dry at least 2hrs after using the supplied wipes, then wipe the rim with a dry clean dry cloth (towel) to make sure. Don't drive for at least 23hrs to give the glue time to cure.

them around the rims. Within two weeks one wheel started showing signs of the product coming loose. A week later and a second wheel started. I contacted the company for advice. They advised i re-clean the rim, use a heat gun to re-activate the glue and stick them back down. I did that but it was only effective for another week. On my next country trip I lost the whole rimskin off one wheel on the way and another on the way back. I now have a third wheel that is showing signs of the rimskin coming loose. I contacted the company for a refund. No go. First they blamed the failure on the new rims which they say have a special coating. Really? I've had the car for more than a month and it's been driven and washed several times. The instructions and product information never mention anything about problems with new rims. Then they blamed silicone contamination? Again The instructions and product information never mention anything about problems with silicone contamination, No mention of how silicone contamination could occur or even that it has to be avoided. Could it be caused by car polish, petrol spill, tyre shine, brake fluid, brake dust? If so then the product is not suitable for purpose. The best offer they could come up with for me to post a sample back to them, offering to test for silicone contamination and if they found no sign of contamination they'd send me another set for free. Needless to say I didn't take up this offer, not wanting to loose more money on postage for a product that doesn't last. Not to mention the potential for paint and body damage when the product flies off at 110km/h.

Additionally, the strip is soft plastic. It really won't stop damage except for the lightest grazing. I haven't tested this but have a look at them if you see them. You'll understand what I mean.

Didn't even stick on application – I tried to apply rimskins on my SRT. Following instructions on the video. The first 15 cm stuck then it started peeling off on its own. Didn't even start trying on the other three. Waste of money. BTW. I'm a stonemason, good with my hands and instructions. If rimskins wants to put their money where their mouth is... they are welcome to prove me wrong.

They don't work – Just hit a gutter whilst parking, literally just rolling, the rimskins tore off and my mag is scratched there crap. Buyer beware. I would never invest in this product again. I was dismayed that it ripped in half rap crap production am So upset I invested in these. Crap.

Excellent Product – Since putting these on my wife's car, accurate parking doesn't matter so much. Should have invented these years ago. Provides protection against gutter damage and gives you peace of mind. Easy to fit, looks good and now I don't have to worry about parking issues. Great Product – Does exactly what it says. I had a problem installing them so I contacted Rimskins, they were prompt and very helpful. I can't believe they have bad reviews. If they are installed properly and according to the instructions then they should last forever. Fantastic customer service would highly recommend it.  Show reply
