Robinhood IC1300 Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPN: 4035We have just had our builder instal a new IC1300. The first time we went to use it the retainer came away from the side of the unit taking some of the mdf with it. It had been glued but not screwed to the side. And then the board just fell open. Should the retained have been screwed and should there be a spring to slow the rate at which the board comes down?
Can’t say we have had this problem ours works perfectly now about 4 years old
Been trying to buy a new timer for over 12 months. Cannot get one anywhere. Noone seems to have stock, or canveven source one.

Hi the white timer button on my station doesn’t switch off it just keeps ticking around . Is it easy to replace ? Do I need an electrician for this ? If I can do it myself do I need to switch the power off to change it ?
Good afternoon, the timer for your unit is sold as a spare part and will need to be replaced by an authorised repairer who will turn your power off to install. If you require assistance to obtain the parts and agent please give us a call on 1300 739 033 . The team at Robinhood.
Will it hurt the mechanism if the timer is twisted back to off, after you finish ironing ? One of the reviews above said that theirs was broken and it was implied that this was the reason, does anyone know if this is ok to do this to the timer or should I wait for the relentless loud ticking to cease from winding down ?
No just turn it off
Good afternoon Dave, it will not damage your product if you turn the timer anti clockwise, if you would like to contact us our number for customer care is 1300 739 033.The team at Robinhood.

I'm building a new home and am considering an ironing centre you advertise. Can you tell me what choices I have with the models and the cost?
I am sorry I can’t help you I just picked a model that we required I don’t sell them just for our self but love ours
oh ok sorry.
Just grabbed the one in Bunnings, love it
does the door have to be flat against the wall to allow the board to fold down? I don't have 800mm of wall to accommodate the cabinet and the door open flat against it. only have 670mm max.
No door only has to be open enough so the board comes down thats fine
Door does not have to be flat but must be able to open far enough for you to slide clothes on and off the board. Also the board will rotate 90 degrees so should be ok. Suggest checking with Robinhood
Where is the iron supposed to fit? I have a standard Breville iron (11.5 cm at the widest part) and it won't fit anywhere inside. The shelf is only 7.5 cm wide - I think only a mini/travel iron would fit, but they are a waste of time.
My Braun iron sits sideways on the top shelf without any problems. Cord wound around it.
Really? How big is your iron? The shelf is only 7.5cm wide!
ours is a standard Philips steam iron it fits fine on top shelf

Is there any new reviews for 2016 is there a new and improved model? Don't want to buy if made flimsy.
I think the one I got was just a one off manufacturing error. The new rod I got was exactly the length it should have been and since I put it in I have had no further problems. It is a very good unit.
Where can you buy spare parts for the Robinhood ironing centre? I need a timer and knob.

Do you have one in stock. What is delivery cost to Launceston, Tasmania?
You can buy them from Bunnings. You will find a cheaper price online but if you take the printout to Bunnings they will price match it for you like they did for me. It was quite a saving from memory.
