Ronson RSC1

I have two – I purchased my first unit, in a daring moment, I figured that I would use it for soups and casseroles only. The unit proved so worthwhile a purchase I purchased a second unit. Winter they really come into their own. Cheaper than an AGA too. They are great for preparing soups, casseroles (dried beans, lentils, pulses love the slow cooker), and slow cooked meats. The unit will heat to a centralized temp. of about 180 deg. This unit really comes in handy when catering for crowds (custards, gravies, keeping dishes/ meat warm). Also you can steam puddings in them, 2 hours done. A bonus for Christmas Day, put the pudding in the unit at breakfast time, fill the bowl halfway up the side of pudding with water and switch on. No need to top up water. The unit won't heat the kitchen up in summer when cooking. Ideal for camping holidays. At 140-155 watts its cheaper to run than the hotplates, oven and microwave. Like the white finish. Could have done perhaps with an Auto function or a Keep Warm function
Excellent – these are great for winter months if you are working or going out for the day pop it all in the slow cooker when you arrive back home it smells great and dinner is ready for you best way for cooking silverside comes out soooo moist ease of use great for cheaper cuts of meat
Good – Very good slow cooker, I use mine almost every day. It very easy to use and to clean. You can cook almost everyting, and is perfect for cooking veggies and meat! We all use it at home and food taste great! Easy to clean and to use
Went strong for 13 years!!! – I loved my dear Ronson Slow Cooker and used it at least 3-4 times a week. It was easy to clean and not too big to store in the cupboard. I got it as a wedding present in 1998, but .... the other day I was a bit absent minded and didn't realise the cord was lying across a glass hot plate that had been on prior when I turned it on. When I went to stir our casserole an hour later, it had melted the cord through to the wires. DOH!! I wonder how long it would have lasted us if I had not accidentally killed it! Now I have to replace it and definately want the same one again if it is still available! Very reliable, used frequently for 13yrs and still went strong!
Excellent – My overall opinion is that Ronson RSC1 is the best produced slow cooker, please start producing it again, I have tried others but they don't produce the quality in the same amount of time. You can use cheaper meat ideal for large families because it cooks slowly you can produce wonderful dishes no longer need takeaways. There is nothing I don't like about this cooker only the fact that you cannot buy them anymore, bring them back.

Awesome slow cooker, we use it regularly to cook curries, stews and whole chicken. Works a treat!
