Best Stick Vacuum I've ever had – I've had quite a few stick vacuums in my time, including electrolux and expensive Dyson's and my Rowenta 24V is the best one yet! I have not pulled out my big vacuum since I bought this one to just do the tiles and around the kitchen. I've had it for over 1 year now and there has been no loss of suction at all. Which has always been my… Read more

problem with everything else I have owned. The only problem is that you have to make sure it is in the right position to stand it up otherwise it falls over which is not good.

It's a bit hard to get the barrell in and out but I still love it to piece's. Very easy to clean everything and I don't clean it that often at all. I would recommend this to anyone. I can't remember how much I paid for it but I can tell you it was only around $200 ish from Harvey Norman.

Fantastic not regret. Convenient – Im really not sure why this cordless vacuum has received some low scores. I think maybe because they purchased the 12volt model. You get what you pay for. No brand at 12v is going to suck anything up. I did my research and bought the 24v and its just fantastic. Sucks everything, easy to get to corners, can twist to the side to get a bit under a… Read more ·  2

couch, works well on carpet too. Ive owned an electroloux with lower voltage and its nowhere near as powerful a this. So i would honestly only reccomend the 24v model, in any brand really. Ive also trialled the dyson stick cordless vacuum thats sold for like $500 and i got to trial this for a month. Its great it works but it costs a bomb. I spent $220 for the rowenta from harvey norman. If i compare the 3 brands i use it goes something like this.

The electrolux has the smallest dirt compartment and is the hardest to clean. Nice and lightweight and its base is a stand which is nice and sturdy and has a detachable duster buster which is good for a quick clean of ur car. Charge isnt too long but lasts for maybe 20 mins only. The dyson is very light, multi use, good dirt collection, easy to clean, very powerful, feels a little too light in that im worried it would break easily, easiest to fit under furniture. Quick charge but only lasts 20 mins which i was not impressed at all with the price. You still have to wait a few hours for full charge again. The rowenta has the longest charge, its like ages like 10 hours but it lasts for 40-45 mins at full power so you can clean your entire house in one go. Its really hard to do ur whole house with the Electrolux or the dyson, like really hard.

To me the rowenta can replace the use of a corded vacuum, the othes cant. Vacuums well and easy to clean the canister and it holds alot of dirt. As mentioned b4 great for corners and great suction for the 24v model. The only downside is that it does not have a docking stand like the others do so it can easily fall over so u have to just take notice when u leave it somewhere. Its also good to know that u can leave it plugged in pemenantly to be able to use when u need and it wont burn the battery and runs on very little power. I reccomended it to a friend who bought it and just loves it. She calls it her little toy. I vacuum 4 times a day, yes 4 times. I have grubby messy kids andi dont mind at all. I used to vacuum only once a week with the corded vacuum and would curse the whole time im doing it. Im never annoyed to use the rowenta, havent used the corded one since i bought this. A must for a mum with young children. Best for floor boards but works well on carpet, not sure if ur house is mainly carpeted. Mine is mainly floorboards with lots of flat rugs.

**UPDATE** Nov 2014. So its been a year and my rowenta stick vacuum is still going strong. Suction just the same when purchased and still easy to clean. I use it on 2 low pile rug/carpets without problem but i still cant comment if its good in a house filled with carpet. I have mainly floorboards. I am so in love with a stick vacuum but it does need the 24v power. So worth the money and i have 2 friends who have bought since seeing mine and they love it. I have a 2 story house and havent taken out my corded vacuum since buying this. A must have for parents with kids!! Longest charge of all the brands, easy to clean, great canister storage, powerful suction, really stylish looking, i got the black one, can see the amount of dirt inside as caniste clear Easily unbalances if not positioned correctly when placing it, not as light as the electrolux but i prefer that because it feels quality

Horses for courses. Does a great job within the frame of it's capabilities – Well, you can't buy a Suzuki Swift and expect it to do the job of a Land Rover. If you bought the cleaner to whisk around the cat litter tray, clean up the crumbs of the kitchen floor and deal with a couple of heavy traffic areas which tend to get grubby quickly like the entryways in between full vacuuming, then you bought the right machine and… Read more

you won't be disappointed.

If you expect it to do the same job as your fully powered vacuum cleaner and generally power through the house picking up everything in it's path, then you will get on here and write dissatisfied grumpy reviews. Basically, it's a powered broom or an enhanced carpet sweeper.

I have four dogs, three cats and two kittens running around my house. It's a godsend for picking up the bits and pieces of garden they drag in with them every day and brilliant to give the house a quick once over when you get that phone call - you know the one; unexpected visitors are about to land on your doorstep in about ten minutes time. Have had no issues with charging, holding charge or bits breaking off. I like that you can wash the canister and filter and it the dust canister may be small but it is so very easy to empty! Come on ppl, I cannot believe anyone is grizzling about that.

Do yourself a favour, chuck the broom and get one of these. It's tall, like me. gets into little spaces and corners. So easy to empty and clean filter. Can't think of a thing. Does the job it is designed for.
