Premium price and design but poor quality – Stylish art deco style look and solid with good base. I liked everything about this kettle until it died after only two years. Stylish design that looked great in my kitchen but it seems like the premium price isn't matched by high quality. Disappointed in my first experience with this brand. Very nice design and feels good in the hand, easy to use. It only lasted two years.
Should have lasted longer – Looks good but disappointing performance. I would have expected an expensive kettle like this to last more than 2 1/2 years but it has just stopped working for no apparent reason. Also the condensation that appears around the base is not good. I feel uncomfortable with water appearing near a 240v electrical connection. A good looking kettle that shuts off automatically. Stopped working after just 2 !/2 years
Works ok but filter is sub-standard – My only complaint is that the filter in the spout looks like stainless steel mesh but 75% has rusted away in only 6 months! Customer service seem to think this is normal. Their [name removed] wrote 'The filter within the spout protects from limescale and therefor will deteriorate over time.' Note to [name removed]; therefore ends with an 'e'. Nice balance, easy pour, looks good. I like to be able to fill through the spout.
Great kettle! – We upgraded our kettle and I have always wanted one of these kinds. We have are big fans of Russell Hobbs appliances. This kettle looks nice and is not very loud once boiling. It's Simple to use just unpack, plug in and off you go. Great 2 year warranty. Would highly recommend. Style, price
So far so good – I have had my Russell Hobbs kettle for around 4 months now, I have never had an issue with it.. Most people believe it leaks when water appears on the element (however this is just condensation). The kettle does the job efficiently, looks the part, is reasonably priced & goes with my matching toaster. Can buy matching products from Russell Hobbs, efficient, reliable & looks nice. Could be cheaper..
Good – This kettle looks nice in the kitchen and I managed to buy it for virtually half price at a sale at Target where it is regularly on sale. It is easy to keep clean and the water is quite hot once boiled. The only downside I have encountered with this kettle is that it can be a bit noisy and I can hear it all over the house when it is on. Other than… Read more
that it is easy to refill and use. Looks good, affordable and often found on special at department stores like Target. Easy to clean and use. Can be quite noisy when on.
Bad – I was very unimpressed with this kettle. I paid full price for this in a Retravision store and was not very happy with the purchase at all. It couldn`t possibly be any noisier than it already is. If I hadn`t have paid full price like some of the other reviewers I might not have felt so mistled, but as it is I did and in my humble opinion it… Read more
certainly is not worth the money! The noise alone makes this a terrible kettle Looked nice in the kitchen, boils quickly Noisy, Noisy, Noisy! Can`t hear yourself think even when you`re in the next room! The lid started to rust and would get stuck when trying to take it off to fill it back up.
Good – Nice looking, fast boiling. Would expect more if paying full price (around $70) but definately good buy at half price. Nice and light, quick to boil. Lid can get bit rusty where it joins the actual kettle but a bit of CLR is useful. Fairly noisy when boiling.
