Powerful and relaible unit - saved the day (and night) during extended power outage! – Purchased this following the storms in Melbourne In Feb 2023. This unit (rated at 3600W start-up; 3200W ongoing) was purchased from Bunnings (last unit available) for $899 Was very easy to set up out of the box and start (took around 25min - including reading through manualwhich is highly recommended). Worked flawlessly for over 24hrs without missing a beat. Very economical using about 10-15L fuel (RON91 Unleaded) for the whole period. Came with engine oil bottle which was great. Has a very handy LCD display showing voltage output, Hz and runtime.

Was able to supply power without any issues to a large fridge and freezer, TV, NBN router and WIFI, toaster, Coffee Machine, Microwave, food processor, Portable lights and of course charge up battery packs, torches, phones, laptops etc for the whole house-hold (4 people) and the neighbours. Could hear the generator working hard when I was running the kettle and toaster together (whilst fridge, lights and chargers were plugged in) so I then just switched kettle off and used it when the toaster finished. If you run appliances one at a time there are no issues.

Unit is fairly loud when running multiple items (will automatically increase and decrease RPM to maintain power output as required) however I placed it in the garage with roller door partially opened so there was no issue.

Unit is very heavy (around 50kg dry) however was easy to move around as it has wheels and a handle (a bit like a wheelbarrow setup)

Apart from the hassle of having extension cords around the house, we were able to continue to stay in the home, watch TV and cook, work etc without much issues. Very higly recommended during a power outage!

Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse Retail Stores for $899.
