Sachs Express 150

Rubbish product – Bought mine a couple of years ago(called the KN 150 at the time) worst buy ever. any bike that has a swing arm bolt shear off at 30 km/h when only 3 months old and under 1000'ks on the clock should not be sold... Add to that the speedo wore out twice in 18months (both after about 2500ks each) and the plastic and wiring crumbled within the 2 years. Sachs damaged their name with this bike/ Cheap on fuel. Engine itself seems bullet proof
Good – Very good bike at that price and gives you value for many on a long run. But may be a little disappointment because these bikes prices go down every now and then so there will no guarantee for a resale price, so may be you should compromise in this issue. But overall if you or gonna use it for a year or two best one at that price till you learn well and get your next dream bike. good for commuting, learning and very fuel efficient gives 42kmpl for me. little trouble in starting and shifting the gears from 1st to 2nd and neutral.
OK – when using mobil pulp98 fuel it does up to 500 km on a single tank, but is hopelessly inefficient with shell regular, but it's caburetted so what do you you expect. Had many problems with this bike - it is motorcycling's answer to the holden commodore (ford lovers take note). It's a good starter bike, but if you live outside the city this may not be the best bike for you as it revs pretty hard at 80km/h. I've also discovered that the express is not only based off the suzuki gs125, it seems to be an exact duplicate of that bike & there's lots of 'em - making it easy to modify. This ain't such a bad bike after all. Off to the bike wreckers... comfortable, handles well punchy acceleration, excellent brakes, easy to fix & modify. Slow, the holden commodore of motorcycles - enough said.
Good – Despite it's flaws I love it and feel very confident on it....but I now have a Yamaha Virago 250cc cruiser which will be another learning experience. Very forgiving learner bike. Has helped this 60 year old lady gain confidence as a first time bike rider. Very fuel efficient and manouvreable. Shifting from 1st to 2nd gear is a scary nightmare, but unfortunately (or fortunately) it doesn't happen every time so it is hard to work out what is going wrong, the rest of the gear changes are super smooth...Sachs dealer in Melbourne was not very interested in the problem. Also for me at 5'3" tall the seat is too high (even though I have had what padding I could removed from the seat - it's now like riding a brick, but I can live with that). It's a pity because not being able to put your feet flat to the ground creates scary scenarios especially on an uneven or gravel surface, easy to slip and impossible for a lightweight female to keep upright if that happens.
