Salter Aerocook Pro XL Air Fryer, Dehydrator & Oven 11L
MPN: EK3662BRMFOB1 review
A little disappointed – I purchased the Salter XL Pro air fryer, which seemed to be ideal for my home cooking, to replace my previous air fryer which had broken down. I was new to owning an air fryer with a rotisserie, so I was looking forward to trying it out. Unfortunately, all my attempts to roast various cuts of meat were unsuccessful, resulting in partly cooked roasts when completed. In desperation, I placed a thermometer in the air fryer, and selected a temperature of 180 degrees C. After 30 minutes, I find the thermometer reaching slightly less than 150 degrees C. When 200 degrees is selected (the maximum temperature available) the thermometer read 170 degrees. Clearly, the temperature selection does not come close to matching the real temperature in the cooker, and explains why all my attempts at roasting had failed. If not for the temperature problem, the air fryer is large enough to hold my cooking requirements, has easy to access cooking racks and drip tray, which are easily cleaned. What a shame the temperature makes roasting impossible, it never really gets hot enough.
