Do not buy from Samsung – One star was the lowest you could give a product or I would have given them a negative number. we purchased a Samsung TV and went to install it only to find out that the Antenna port was not on the TV. The antenna port was not on thew TV or in the box, it had been on the TV at some time but was broken and gone when we opened the box. We took the… Read more
TV back to the Good Guys and the helpful person at the shop said that he had seen it several times in the past and it should be a straightforward repair or replace claim. Samsung have decided that they will not even look at the TV, that according to Samsung it was our fault. The TV was not even plugged in, we had not even turned it on and according to Samsung it was our fault.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH SAMSUNG they don't stand behind their product.
This TV is mounted high in a protected corner of the house. Purchased in 2022 , out of warranty , contacted Samsung who would only give us a contact of their authorised service centre at cost to us. Support agent claimed it had had some physical damage which is rubbish as the TV is high & protected. Disappointed as I thought Samsung had quality products that last longer than 4 years.
At approx 18 months the screen and both boards were replaced and it's still rubbish, still having problems there's nothing nice I can say about it the only thing worse is Samsung's service over 8 weeks of waiting for in home service. This is about the 3rd time I've given Samsung a go over about 30 years hoping they might improve but no such luck,… Read more
give a cheap brand a go it could only be better. It's also the dumbest smart TV I've ever bought. Bad sound and my new Yamaha system can't connect so forget a DVD player etc. I could go on but what's the use. Come on Samsung put a little pride into your products please!!!!
Shading on Samsung TV – I purchased a UA65BU8000WXXY model Samsung TV in June 2020 after having excellent past experiences with Samsung TVs. It performed well in this period however in the last 12 months has developed areas of grey shading on the screen which seem to be getting larger and darker by the day. After researching the internet this seems to be common problem… Read more
with the backlighting on this model of Samsung. I realise that the TV is over 4 years old however I expected a longer life. The only alternative I seem to have is to engage a TV technician (not worth the cost) or purchase a new TV which will certainly will not be another Samsung.
Short shelf life – After only 4 years the television started developing black lines across the screen. Call to Samsung support for trouble shooting but was unable to fix the problem and was advised of the latest sales to buy a new television. Aside from this issue, it has been a good television, good picture and sound, easy to use but disappointing that it has such… Read more
a short shelf life with the screen issue. Will be purchasing a different brand for the replacement and give something else a go with the hope to get longer than 4 years out of it.
TV picture disappears despite only being 18months old – Only had tv 18 months and picture just randomly disappears and leaves blurred colours. This is now happening more frequently. Samsung provided technical support over the phone but it has not helped.

Pretty good picture but average sound – Has used for two years from 2021, it is excellent. This TV has some issue with the sound so I try to connect the optical output to my home theater. The optical cable bought is not compatible. Because of this TV, I have to upgrade my mobile phone to Samsung to use smart view. Show details · 1

LCD went blank in less than 2 years – TV LCD went blank in less than a 2 years is one issue. I understand products can break however the appalling service from Samsung is my concern. 1/7/23 i contacted them advising screen not working. Sent photos, logged in remotely to confirm fault. Then 3rd party tech visited home to confirm. Case manager assigned however its been 3 weeks and still… Read more

Remote doesn't work - good staff though – The remote just stopped working Everything I change the battery it works for a few minutes then just back to a frustration level not seen since the All Blacks Haka got walked up on by those croissant eating French. However, I must say Max Ashton, not sure of his position but pretty sure he's exec level, was unbelievable in helping me out. He… Read more

2023. No online update – So, having purchased our tv last December, we had to get the main circuit board replaced in January as the inputs were inoperable. This tv is quite easily the worst ever as you can only update the tv manually via usb ( ummmm hello....it's 2023 guys).I have a service tech coming today, want my money back please. Show details
Not fit for purpose.
V poor samsung warranty and delay tactics – Our UA65BU8000W stopped working in a few months. The screen went black and had a faint blue light could bee seen. I called Samsung customer care as was told by the seller Retravision. Well never in my life have I had some one with poor English skills keep talking over me when I tried to spell out the words as requested!!!!!! The frustration got so… Read more
much I had to hang up after 10 min of this! I went to the business tv repairer behind Retravision (as I was told by Retravision) to see if they could help. They said send it to them and they after getting the tv had issues with Samsung as they did not reply to 4 emails requests under warranty. Right under ACCC law I went back to Retravision and told them to sort it out. Finally Retravision told Samsung to fix it with more emails and now got an order for repair. Fingers crossed it becomes so. Samsung customer care is worthless after 2 months of this frustrating delay. Their people even keep emailing me for proof of purchase and I have sent them my receipt. I even told them talk to Retravision for a copy of receipt. They even left voice messages on my mobile phone I could not understand!!!!!

Few annoyances! – Pros - 1) Great picture especially in 4k. 2) Lots of available apps 3) Price was good at $1650 for a 75" TV 4) Very slim 5) Fancy remote once you get use to it 6) Is a smart TV that works with Google Voice assistant Cons - 1) Picture a bit dark for bright rooms but play around with settings and its all good 2) Sometimes its a bit laggy scrolling… Read more · 1

Overall for the price I paid, its pretty decent and i would recommend the TV to others.

Don’t waste your money on crap Samsung TVs – I have bought this TV on Samsung Australia website. It was delivered on time. Picture quality is good but during daylight only. At night you will be really disappointed to see huge clouding issues on black pictures everyday everywhere. This TV will give you flickering problem as well. This flickering will cause great headaches to you. I have… Read more
complained Samsung about this problem, they sent a technician at my home to check. I was really disappointed when he mentioned that clouding is standard in samsung tv. He has no answer when I asked him why this standard issue is not mentioned in TV description so people should know what will happen if they watch tv during night or dark.
Samsung support mentioned, they play batman trailer and if they don’t notice clouding this is standard. Technician played and noticed clouding, pixel distortion and flickering on the day of inspection but I don’t know why he mention this is standard. You will see batman in dark and will notice batman in clouds throughout the movie which is non sense.
Moreover, regarding flickering technician was surprised to see that it was pretty bad. He mentioned this to pass on samsung and Samsung will make a decision to replace or repair tv. But after a week, samsung called me and said these issues are standard in samsung tv and I was left with a faulty / defective product.
Upon research I find that never buy a samsung Tvs with AU8000, BU8000, CU8000, Q60B, Q60C. You will loose your money to this pathetic company.
I am aware about Australian consumer law and will take appropriate action.
The purpose is this review is to make people aware. Don't ever buy a Samsung TV just looking a crispy picture in showroom, those videos are specially made so people cannot notice the actual defects.
If you’re not getting a good picture quality, there is no sense to buy that TV.

Basic Tv with a few niggles – The tv is your run if the mill average set. Picture has a little clouding in dark scenes, colours are overly saturated and reds need to be brought down a bit (on my panel anyway), sound is decent and the processor is extremely weak to the point of slowing everything down. We got this from Betta for $876. Pending a $150 cashback it'll be $726. … Read more
Can't really complain for the price.
Edit: Updated the tv to V1106 that can be found on samsung.com/au/support. This has improved the TV's responsiveness somewhat.

November 2022 as to when they were picking up tv. They said they would ring me. From November 2022 to February 2023 I waited and phoned and emailed. Samsung had told me I would receive my refund 30 business days after they had picked up the TV. The tv picked up 1st February 2023 I have phoned 3 times sent an email and have now put it in hands of consumer affairs. My $1595 is happily sitting in Samsung's bank account along with everyone else's refunds earning interest. Never buy anything samsung.

This TV lasted just a year, worst customer service ever – The tv was fine for 1 year. Apps etc worked quite well. Then, when it was just over a year old, the screen went then the tv completely stopped working. Samsung have possibly the worst customer service ever. Defaults to product placement & lurid [Content Removed] looks – The television keeps trying to take me to services I don't want, and even has dedicated buttons on the remote for media companies that have paid Samsung $$$ to do so. Samsung TV review
Great TV for an excellent price – We bought this TV as Samsung has a great reputation and the price was well within our budget. I’m blown away the bang for buck with this TV.
