TV Itself is great – Nice TV , But started getting horrible shadows on screen within 3 months of ownership... ...
Purchased in for $995.
Thank Brian . I did go to JB HIfi Artarmon who did send a Warranty submission to Samsung Australia , but have not heard back from them at all... Number is below if that helps...

Still waiting to get TV fixed. Bloody joke...
Tv still not fixed. Very annoyed ... never buying another Samsung from JB Hifi..
Still had zero help on this matter. Pretty woeful on JB Hfi now 12 month warranty gone by the wayside. Don't buy Samsung...
Fantastic display, we are thrilled! – After coming in from the old manual tv's where the only "smart" feature was being able to watch digital tv and add subtitles, this is definitely a big jump for us. The TV's these days still lack the good ol' on and off switch. I feel that is lacking on these systems and it should be given to us if we would like to remove power from the device. Why don't they build these power buttons any more ?
The amount of content and apps available is well maintained and you won't be stuck with needing to use your Telstra Box or any other services. I mean we still use our DVR but now the TV has mostly everything we need.
Picture quality is excellent, vibrant, and has many different modes for eg. Directors which is made for movies, and apparently it gives you the image that the original director wanted for the movie. Sound quality is decent for that screen and it has many options for upgrades, including surround sound with speakers that use Wifi.
The other thing that is nice but it has issues, is the remote. The thing is so small and the tactile feedback on it is insufficient for you to operate it without looking at it. I can't count how many times we've accidentally changed the channel instead of turning the TV up, or we've pressed the Netflix button. I want to get rid of those buttons! They need a better product designer for these things because they're ill concieved.
Still a recommended TV for the price, though!

Samsung tv UA85CU8000WXXY 85inc – First of all got this tv from Samsung as a replacement for my 75inc that had black sports on the on the tv well done Samsung 5 stars to them Thank you Samsung Now for the tv The bad Lacks connectivity only 3 HMDI ports two USB ports no RGB inputs cannot connect my PS2 and all the connectivity ports are not easy to access they should be closer to the edge. Say two of each on each side. You have to have a Samsung account to access any apps Samsung why are you spying on us?? The remote is tirble you will have to buy a third party one I use the ONE FOR ALL remote and does the job 99% of the time. There should be away to put all your favourite’s icons easy to access
The Good Wow the picture is just out of this world if you can buy a 4K disk player and a 4 K HDMI cable even the dvds will upscale to 4K It comes with Samsung tv plus for free about 50 channels the UK one is better there are 4 movie channel’s but don’t expect any block buster movies
It is easy to set up just a hint make sure you measure the leg distance to see if it will fit on your entertainment unit just keep it in mind if considering.
Hey Dave, thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed review. We appreciate you telling us what you liked about the TV and what you didn't quite so like. I will be sure to forward this feedback onto the relevant departments.

More HDMI and USB ports put them closer to the edge say 2 on each side And bring back the RGB ports so i can play my PS2 games
Issues from the first month, would not recommend – After the first few weeks the picture kept being white snow, and the only way to fix it was to switch it off at the plug and back on again. This happened 100+ times till it happened every time you use the TV, and across internal tv apps or anything connected via hdmi. Samsung sent tech out this week which took two weeks to organise and they replaced the main board. Since then it's worked but there has been one more instance of the white snow type picture and its only been 'fixed' for 48 hours. If it recurs I will return the TV as its clear it has significantly problems. The picture and sounds are great when it works, but I'm not going to risk having a TV that's almost guaranteed to break once my warranty runs out... that's if it event last 2 months.
Edit: samsung unwilling to swap the TV out despite it still having issues. I now need to take another day off apparently and wait for their engineers once again to confirm the problem which is a joke as its the issue is intermittent. This will be the last samsung product I ever buy as there warranty system is a joke and forces people to take time off work for junk televisions.
