Samsung ES65

Great camera, I want to buy a spare one now – For 1.5 years, the camera is mainly used by my 6 year old son. Even the most difficult pictures this camera handles. I most often prefer to use this camera to my DSLR Nikon, as it is more reliable with shooting photos. Automatic focus is great, no shakes even out of a driving car. Battery lasts a long time. Great movie quality. It has gone overseas and made great pictures. With the Nikon I had to photo shop more, the ES65 rarely needed phot shopping.
Custmer service poor! – Both my daughters bought this camera - excellent photos but both now don't shutdown properly - the lens won't close and 1 of them can't even retreat the lens anymore nor take pics. Sent this one 1 back for repair. Got it sent straight back without any explanation except a tick-the-box stating it was out of warranty - it was not! It was within the warranty period. I had even had sent the receipt! Such a disappointment!! Good pics, easy to use Bad shutter & lens retreat
Sent to Samsung for repairs, they sent back wrong camera – Within four months of purchase, camera started to malfunction. Good Guys (where I purchased from) were no help at all, so I sent it to Samsung repair. They took weeks, then sent me someone else's camera. Could not get into contact with them immediately. When I returned the other person's camera I was asked for receipt of my original camera (already supplied to them) so that they could return MY camera.
They finally returned my original camera, but repair is not great quality. I tell everyone I know not to buy Samsung. My Nikon Coolpix is superior despite being four years older. Relatively inexpensive, but you get what you pay for Bad warranty service, poor customer service
OK – Overall the ES65 picture quality is good, the smart auto works well, excellent point and shoot camera but the built quality(electronics)may cause problems. Slim and compact,27mm wide angle zoom(5x),smart auto, rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. Build quality.
