Great buds for listening to music – My wife and I both bought a pair of these buds. To date they have proven to be very good buds, especially for music, which is the main use. They fit into the ears very well and do not easily fall out, especially if you change the silicon rubber ear plugs to best fit your ear canals (comes with 3 sizes). The buds come with with a downloadable app… Read more
which sits inside the Galaxy wearable app - you would not be able to use and control the buds without the app and obviously they are perfectly matched to the Samsung android phone. Using the settings in the app, you can run with "ambient sound" / Active noise cancelling / No adjustment at all.
Have found the buds to work pretty well on an aircraft with the ANC switched on and in really quiet areas when relaxing, turn the noise cancelling and ambient sound off. The buds fit well into the ears, and there is a test application in the app which allows you to test for a good fit, and this works very well.
We use the app to control the buds but you can use hand gestures and tapping to advance the song back and forwards, volume, answering calls etc. by programming the settings you desire.
Considering the cost of these buds, the sound quality is very, very good and enjoy playing music with them very much. The frequency range is good and the bass is very good without too much artificial Pump up, so the music is fairly well adjusted.
The buds come is a great little case, that fires up the app and connects to your phone as soon as you open them - the case has a chargeable battery witch charges the buds when you put them back into the case, just have to remember to keep the case charged.
The only downside noted is that especially outside with background noise, it can get a little difficult to be heard on a phone call, as the buds don't have any extension for the microphones (note that the buds 3 pro have changed the design and have extensions, haven't tried them but they may be an improvement) so for us the phone call side has not been that great. Overall though, great buds, great sound for music, which is 99% of our use and for that cant really fault them.
The buds connect seamlessly with our Samsung phones through bluetooth and even though outside wind conditions can affect the quality to the person on the other end, the bluetooth performance from the phone to the buds is very good, no problems with bluetooth range either, as the phone is usually close by or in a pocket. Have had 0 issues with bluetooth performance.
PROS: - Well built, good quality - Good fit in ear - Very good quality sound, especially for music - Bluetooth range and consistency is good - Great little charging case - Std, USB C charging on the case
Cons: - Phone calls reception, especially outside with background noise can be problematical - Buds are polished and a bit slippery - were very careful in the plane, didn't want to drop them

Average sound quality, useless noise cancellation. Expensive for what they are! – I purchased these as I am in the general Samsung ecosystem. I paid $130 in a sale but I now know there are better devices, particularly in terms of sound quality and noise cancellation, on the market for the same or less. I really wanted noise cancellation but it is near useless on these buds. The buds themselves block out a reasonable amount of… Read more
noise but with noise cancellation on (if you can get it to stay on) just seems to make the background noise sound more tinny and adds really high pitched additional noise! (And yes! I am wearing them correctly!). I have read a few of the other reviews but interestingly not experienced many of the problems others have complained about. Instead I have a whole new and extensive set of issues with these. I will start with the good things about these and then move to the not-so-good. Good things ------------- - They are reasonably comfortable to use. - I have nice big earholes and they stay well wedged in. I use mine for walking but I don't think I would trust any in-ear-bud-only for running. - The case and buds look stylish - Wireless charging - Battery life seems okay for my use
Room for improvement! --------------------------- - There are cheaper buds on the market with far better sound quality. - The mic is useless and can not be used for hands free (if you want the person on the other end to understand you). Also I have not managed to get my buds to answer my Galaxy phone but it is possible in theory. - The noise cancellation is worse than useless and only sometimes works. - The pass-through is actually quite unpleasant to use. - The Bluetooth range is awful. If I have my phone in my right hand trouser pocket the presence of my body can block the signal! - The track my device mode is rubbish and can only detect the headphones when they are not in the case. Most of the time I couldn't get it to work at all. - The text on the case is beginning to smudge
There are probably more things on the RFI list, but hey, if the above hasn't put you off then it is unlikely anything else I say will.
Bit large and heavy, sound is fine – A bit large and heavy, so tends to fall out after some time; a problem I did not encounter with my previous Mifo earbuds. Could be because I have small ears. Quite simple to setup with the app. Happy with the sound, particularly for the price... Classical opera/ orchestral mid range and high frequencies are great. You might miss the thump of a… Read more · 1
plucking double bass (Manon Toi Vous / Don Juan Overture). Piano - Impressed! maybe a little lower bass missing in lower notes (Polonaise in A flat Maj op. 53, Chopin). Violin - Could be rounder, but fine. (Rondo Capriccioso Saint-Saens)
Fusion - great mid range and high frequencies. (Oasis - Roberta Flack).
- So far no connectivity issues at all. - The touch controls are configurable and has recognition of up to 3 taps! Takes a bit of getting used to, but not an issue. The touch and hold action can be configured to control either the volume or toggle between Ambient sound to active noise cancelling. Therefore you have to configure one of the two functions and cannot have both. I have chosen volume. However, you can control it from the app. - Ambient sound and active noise cancelling function works effectively. I have mainly used Ambient sound.
All in all well priced for the quality.
I love samsung devices but not the buds!!! – Love samsung always use samsung all my life but since the wireless devices happened especially the buds aren't that well made. It probably would fits for westerners but not Asians ears, ironically samsung is made in korea. Anyways my point is the buds always falls out of my ears even when im chewing. Show details

Very Impressed - hardworking and high quality – This week my charging case and buds went through the wash. After they emerged unscathed and fully operational I thought "gee - that deserves a review". Let's be clear - they are not waterproof. But if they are built in such a way as a run-through a wash cycle in their case doesn't affect them at all then I think it's a big green-tick to the… Read more
build quality overall.
I'm not an audiophile but really love the sound quality. I listen mostly to books and music. My music of choice at work where i wear these most is house music and the sound is excellent if maybe a little bass heavy. The EQ in my app can compensate for that.
Comfort is great - it took me some time to work out how to best wear them, i find a smaller cup than normal and a slightly twist while placing them in (i.e. counter-clockwise while placing into right ear, vice-versa for the left) provides the best fit and sound isolation. Fitted correctly the ANC is incredible. I wanted ANC buds mostly because i now work on an open office floor - these are just the right amount to isolate sound.
The microphone I haven't had great success with. Most call recipients complain they cannot hear me if i'm outdoors but really this wasn't why i bought these. If PR allowed half stars I would've given this 4.5.
Worst customer service in the world. Unbelievable it's laughable – Where do I start. I lost my charging case for my Samsung buds 2. I thought it would be a simple order online to have it delivered or buy in store. But why do you have to make it so complicated. First spent ages trying to navigate your crappy website trying to see whether I could buy it. Then I chat to someone on your live chat service. Who tells… Read more
me it's on the website despite me telling him it's not. And then he checks and realises it's not. I asked him if I could place an order over online or in store? Then he says I need to order it from the store. He says they are available in store and will cost $99 but I need to book an appointment. So I book in the my nearest store (Highpoint). But I decide to go into the store 2 days earlier to see if I can just buy it then and there. The customer service lady tells me no they don't have it in store and yes I need to make an appointment to order it. Despite me being there already. And then I had to cancel my appointment because of work and so I had to book another store (Doncaster) across town because the Highpoint store had no availability. Oh and she gave me the price as $140. I decide not to mention my phone call price of $99. So on the day of my Doncaster appointment, I'm running slightly late due to horrendous parking shortage at Doncaster Westfield (even on a weekday). So I call up the Samsung customer number to tell them to tell the store that I'm running bit late. Customer service cannot direct my call to the store but I have to go through hoops verifying my identity, all the while trying to find carparking. Blood already boiling now. They eventually just tell me that all appointments are 1 hour so it doesn't matter if I'm a bit late. Ok so I arrive about ten minutes late to the store (can't be called a store, more like a booth it was so small) only to find a queue of about 5 people in front of me. And I have to queue up for about 1/2 hour to get serviced (so much for the appointment system?) and what's more no one asked for my appointment details at any stage. So you mean I could have gotten serviced at the store closest to me all along? But I got told I HAD TO make an appointment. Waste my time. Anyway so the guy who helped me at the Doncaster store was nice but also clueless. Spent Ages scanning my buds 2 box and making lots of phone calls to try to get me a price on the charging case, because I told him I wanted to pay for it then and there. But after about 20 minutes of phone calls he couldn't get a price and so I couldn't actually pay for it then and there. He gave me a price between $80 to $150. I'm almost laughing/crying at this stage due to the incompetence. So he takes my ear buds (to calibrate to the charging case? I have no idea why) and says someone will call me THE NEXT DAY to do a payment over the phone once the price is confirmed. I'm like whatever at this stage. So I wait for a phone call the next day but I get nothing. The following day I'm back at work (usually cannot pick up my mobile during work as I am a dentist) so they left me a message to say to call them back. Again upset at the inconvenience of it all. I call back and the lady makes me pay $95 for them. LUCKY this is lower than the previous 2 prices I had been quoted or I would have hit the roof. But I just wanted the case back yesterday so I paid over the phone and then they said they would text me once it was ready. I triple confirmed delivery to Highpoint store because I don't want to go across town to get from Doncaster. Then 2 days later I get a text on Friday afternoon saying the case is ready to be picked up from Highpoint store. So I LEAVE WORK EARLY and cancel my last appointment so I can leave early to get to the store by 7pm (usually open til 9pm on Fridays but reduced due to covid?) Anyway so I get to the store at 630pm and lo and behold it's not there. The staff are apologetic and I'm seething with rage. But their manager is not at the store so apparently my case is at the store but they don't have authorisation to go and get it because it hasn't been brought out? Or whatever. I storm out almost wretching at the laughable ludicrous situation? So 3 days later meanwhile I haven't had time to go back to the store to get it. So here I am still without my bloody charging case. I think some compensation is in order? Don't you think? Do you even care about your customers? As the world's biggest smartphone brand the sheer audacity of your incompetence makes me want to go to your archenemy Apple, or literally any other brand on earth who would have basic processes in place to deal with simple customer needs. Am I asking for the moon here?
