at about 50 / 60% to aid the batteries longevity. The charger is ample in charging the battery, the supplied cable has deteriorated to a manky yellow colour and stiffened up... Tried a aftermarket 3m USB cable, but the tablet didnt charge all too well for some reason??

Wished it came in black though, had to apply a chinesium cover to hide the whiteness overall - being used for work did see me pick it up with greasy hands so the case was a necessity!

Overall I really do love this tablet, stpre it in a Case Logic mini laptop case with all its bits in the front pocket and its very convenient to carry while travelling or going places - or to avoid boredom!

tablet Tab A on ebay. I ordered it for $399 and then picked it from a branch of The Good Guys. I was very happy to be able to give this tablet to my wife as a gift. My wife still has been using it everyday happily.

This tablet has a reasonable display resolution, good wifi speed, and memory, I think only a disadvantage is a little bit heavy. Honestly, if I had got more budget, I would have bought a better performance and lighter tablet. However, I and my wife are very pleased to use it, especially, this is not hot even if we use it more than 5 - 6 hours continuously. I would recommend this tablet, and if you don't care of heavy, it will be the best tablet.

dimensions I can hide it anywhere. Whenever I travel it has its own small carry bag. Be selective loading and using Apps you will get better performance and wont eat up the limited space on the hard drive. There may be better Tablets but I bought this on special for under $300 and use it whenever I travel or have trouble getting to sleep at night. The Android system is easy to use, the screen quality is just ok and although not as extensive as Apple the amount of Apps goes on forever. Its fine for YouTube etc I even sometimes use this to control my Smart TV and love using it as a radio or music player paired up to my portable speaker. The speed of the Quad Core Processor is good and there is no lagging. Internet speed is mostly determined by the connection and at home we have the NBN and using the Android Browser it works fast. I have a hard screen cover which I think is essential if you travel. It has never restarted or reset and on startup it is fairly quick. It does sometimes get confused connecting to a WiFi point and I usually manually do this on startup as it takes 10 seconds rather than letting it search. Once I do this it runs faultless. Charging is quick and simple but I can use it for several days without a recharge. All the buttons work fine and the sound is of a standard of other tablets. All in all a well priced product not the best by far but for everyday use it will do the job.

Perfect tablet! – I purchased this tablet for my daughter. It's a good sturdy tablet. Affordable price. I think its best option for the money. Works great with kids youtube app and android kids apps. Quite disappointed – I'm sorry to say that I'm really disappointed with this model...at times seems very sluggish loading my apps...it does the job but I brought this so I didn't have to use my main computer... for me it doesn't measure up to what I wanted yet is ok for my games & quick searching on the net... for the price it's quite an expensive item for playing games...  Show details

Upgrade – Not a bad product, better for the kids rather than adults unless you don't mind slower/delayed connection. The camera and video quality are not as good in comparison to say an Apple Ipad (which we have upgraded too) However, the kids don't mind and enjoy playing games and watching you tube.  Show details

is ok and is much faster than their old tab4, so we are satisfied with this purchase. The front LED display got cracked before, I had to purchase a spare display to replace it myself, so you may want to my a screen protector to prevent it from accidental damages.

Fabulous tablet!!! – We purchased two of these tablets for our children to use. They are fast to switch on and operate. We have never had any WIFI connectivity issues. Does what I want it to – I only use this tablet to play games and watch netflix. I have had this for a year now and it still works as good as new. The battery life is extremely long even when I am watching videos which is good! Great Tablet!! – Mainly used for surfing the Net, watching movies and emails. Out of the box the Samsung Tab A was easy to setup and has heaps of pre-loaded apps but if you need more specialty type apps you can download from Google Playstore. Movies and pictures look great on the 10.1” screen. Sound from the tablet is only so so but a good set of ear/headphones will enhance your movie or tunes experience. the mode without a password and wont play around on other apps when un supervised. The size is perfect highly recommended the 10", also love the fact you can buy sd card to expand the memory

really enjoy what I use on this. Simple to use and you can access your files from there easily and can edit documents. iOS systems can’t do that that’s why I love the Tab A. Also my friend recommended me this tablet and so I bought it. But I didn’t know it was this good. You guys who are reading this should really get this or maybe a newer version of the Tablets made by Samsung. Great work I love it.

Great tablet – I find this tablet very useful for my studies. It is reasonably light. It is typically fast to start up and open apps. The battery is quite good and typically lasts for 8-12 hours of full use (around a week of on and off usage). I would definitely buy it again at the same price.  Show details
