Done with samsung – tablet seemed good value to begin with. Soon found the tablet locks me out every month (known fault with unlock screen) meaning I lose work. Got the dreaded moisture detection bug just under a year from purchase, and now it is a useless brick. Inexcusable design faults that should have been fixed YEARS ago. Had a number of Samsung and Apple… Read more

products. Going back to a laptop and Nokia. They do their respective job a billion times better than this garbage. Edit: finally started recharging again 2 days ago. So I bought a usb c-> hdmi adaptor and discovered that usb video output was removed from this model (previous model had this). What junk!

Terrible performance – I use my tablet for my social media, some photos, email, Spotify, and a couple of basic Microsoft Apps. After about six months to a year after purchase, the tablet started crashing occasionally and it got more and more frequent. Have done two factory resets and formatted the 180 GB SD card I have in it. Still has not resolved the extremely… Read more

annoying problem. Happens at least twice every time I use it. Would not recommend this tablet to anyone. It's quite slow and often the keyboard can't keep up with the typing either. Most of the time I have it on to display a reference photo for drawing as I am an artist and it is fine sitting there, but if I try and use it, it gets itself in knots and crashes.

Amazing, just what I wanted! – This tablet was purchased to take away in our caravan. We use it to watch tv and to find information on were we travel. Runs smoothly and goes everywhere we go. Show details

Don't drop it – Paid $328. Broke the screen. Samsung quote to replace the screen $260. 80% of the cost of a new one to replace the screen seems a bit harsh. Might be better to buy a different brand. Can't really review the performance. Only had it two weeks. Didn't use it for the first week waiting for a case to arrive. Show details

Can be slow but great for kids – My daughter received this for Xmas. It is a great tablet for watching and streaming and playing games. However when i use it with her to google something she is interested in, I find it lags a bit. Like I am typing way to fast for the keyboard to keep up. Which I'm not. Just a standard speed like most adults I guess. She doesn't have that problem… Read more ·  1

as she is still learning where all the keys are. Sometimes it freezes aswell if I try to jump between multiple screens or apps. As I said, Its perfect for kids and she LOVES it. But I wouldn't purchase it for myself. It just can't keep up.

Love it – Have not had it long and so far I love it and can't really find fault. I upgraded from a tab a 8.0 I'd bought in 2016. Screen size is great for movies and it has alot of new things I wasn't expecting. 5 weeks later and I still love it. I recommend it Show details ·  2

Endless moisture detected notification? Google before you buy! – Bought this tablet for my son 2 weeks ago and it works quite well for all his needs including playing games, It has surprisingly good sound too. The issue with this tablet is that it is becoming impossible to charge as every single day it has a "moisture detected notification while charging and is unable to charge. (swapping charge leads doesn't… Read more

help) Do a Google before you buy! Search "Samsung" and "moisture detected notification" and you will see the countless pages of others that have this painful issue with Samsung electronics. We have many phones and tablets in our household, all in the same environment which is not moist in anyway and the only one that has a problem is Samsung tablet. Currently the only way to charge it is to sit the tablet and the charge lead in front of a hair dryer for 10 min to heat it up. How are we ever going to charge this tablet in the car or camping without a hairdryer, it hasn't rained for weeks and is dry as bone here.

Screen went dead. Sent to Samsung but they won't replace – Our 1st Samsung product and tablet screen suddenly went blank/dead during use. Sent to Samsung but they didn't replace. Tablet was in as new condition and always kept in a heavy duty protective case. Samsung also stated that it couldn't be repaired. So no warranty or repair options. Suggest avoiding this tablet from a build/quality perspective and poor customer support, which I'm really disappointed about. Show details

Very nice! – Tablet is very affordable and performs well and is also well put together. Packaging is good. Easy on the eye screen with very good resolution. I have never used Bluetooth, Hotspot or WiFi so connecting by wifi took a little time to work out but eventually got there with grateful assistance from Samsung AU support. So far no problems. Has a lot of apps which at the moment I don’t use but I might later on down the track. Recommended. Show details ·  1

FAST AND EASY TO USE – Just a quick edition to my review here, the Security updates are done regularly so far which I'm happy about, not sure how long that will last though, the warranty is also for 2 years not 1 or at least that is what Officeworks told me. I purchased this tablet in October 2019 and have had no problems with it so far. The tablet gets both security… Read more ·  1

and software updates from Samsung regularly and so far updating apps is no problem either.

I use the tablet mainly for emails and streaming some shows and reading news online. The screen is easy to see and very clear and I have no problems in working out settings although it is a bit different from my previous tablet I have managed to understand what the new wording means as Samsung call things a different name.

There are a lot off apps from Samsung on the tablet half off which I dont use and I have disabled but this does not stop them from updating themselves without my okaying it and there is no way to stop that unfortunately.

If you want a tablet with less apps from the manufacturer I suggest you buy a different one. Also Samsung insist on you using there own Internet anything that you want to look at from Gmail will automatically default to Samsung Internet not Google Chrome.
