Ok I guess – My sound bar works amazingly well... When it wants to. I've been having problems with it as of late. Whenever I turn it on it says "protect" and then powers off. Although I think there are a number of factors that could be causing this, such as the fact that my house is on the end of my street, which means that we're prone to power surges etc. It… Read more
has great sound quality, and I like the extra bass. Other than the protection system playing up I haven't ever had a problem with it. Other than that problem I'm sorting out, it's unbeatable.
Unreliable – Brought my sound bar from the Good Guys, played less than 12 DVDs on it and then it failed to read anything that was put in it (DVD and CDs). I have a friend in the electronics servicing area and he pulled it apart and told me it need a new Deck Mechanism (part No AH59-01773A) Although he said the main board could also be the problem. I am… Read more
waiting for the deck so will report later if it works. From and asthetic point of view the unit is good looking and compact. The remote is difficult to master even if you have a Samsung television. If this is brought for an older ,less technically minded person they would find it very difficult to operate.
no spear parts – Our Samsung sound bar has just gone 3 years old and the slide door stoped working.Took it in for repairs and tolled no spar parts for door .I am yery disappointed with samsug and will not be perching any more of there products So be prepared to throw it in the bin if something goes wrong with it.750 dollars down the drain. Sound was good No backup parts
Terrible – I have had constant problems with my unit. I have had the disk unit replaced, had troubles with the sub woofer and now it refuses to deliver video at all. Throughout my trials, Samsung customer service has been painfully slow, rude, unhelpful and uncooperative. I will never, never buy any product from this manufacturer again based solely on the… Read more
standard of customer support which is a shame becaes they have some good stuff out there.
Please heed this advice, save yourself the heartache and LOOK ELSWHERE!!! When it works, it's ok Very prone to break downs and awful, awful customer service. AWFUL!
Terrible – My advice stay away from Samsung. This company has no care once you buy its product it becomes your issue buyer beware. mounts neatly on the wall no messy wires Overall the unit is poorly made constant problems with the unit. When you need repairs Samsung is extremely painful and slow to deal with, customer service does not exist with this company. I had the dvd reader replaced. Very slow unit to start up sub woofer issues.
Bad – Not happy at all with after care service on this product should of been given brand new product if under 6 months old we hardly used it not good for samsung Its Compact and great sound very happy with it working Only had this product 4 months and broken down its been 3 weeks since put it in to be repaired and now been told it will be another 3 weeks as samsung are slow with sending there spare parts not good enough
Terrible – My partner chose this over the small yamaha unit because she liked the looks of it. So far we have had to take it back for warranty repair twice. The eject door fails and wont open. I rue the day we bought it. It is small and compact. Easy to mount to wall under TV It takes a long time to start. If you eject a disc while watching TV, the TV sound… Read more
turns off as you go to DVD mode to eject. It takes 10 seconds to switch between modes, eg from radio to TV. The Radio reception is small. Sound on bluetooth is crackly in the top end. The sound modes are limited and difficult to navigate.
Terrible – I bought my HT-X810 in April 2009. It looks good, matches a piano black Samsung TV in appearance. Integrates with the Samsung TV so you can power it on automatically when the TV is turned on, but doesn't turn off with the TV. In this mode if you eject a DVD or CD while viewing the TV, the TV switches to DVD mode. Infuriating. I had to disable the… Read more
auto mode in the TV. It made reasonable sound, very loudly if desired, but lacking in treble, and the bass was overpowering. Without an extra cable connecting the TV sound output to the HT-X810 you cannot hear TV sound except through the TV's own speakers. It should ship with an optical SPDIF cable. I was very disappointed with this flawed product and sold it after 3 months. Looks good, matches appearance of my Samsung 40" LCD TV perfectly. No signal wires to Sub woofer.
Good DVD picture quality, upscaling works well, plays MP3 through USB port. The sub woofer was much too powerful. It would often distort horribly with low bass tones and you had to reach for the volume control to kill it. Subwoofer doesn't have a visible heatsink for the internal amplifier and runs a 60mm cooling fan audibly 24 hours per day, even when in standby.
Good – I love this product. I was sceptical that it would work as well as it does but it is great, the sound is great. and it plays dvd's well. very happy. looks great above my t.v. sub woofer is wireless, can easily be placed anywhere you like. The sub woofer can sometimes be too loud and if you decide not to have s/w turned on the soundbar constantly searches for the s/w to connect to it.
Excellent – It really surprised me, didn't think it could be as good as my old 5:1 system but I am really happy with it except for the bother of adjusting the S/W Looks great with my piano black Samsung 42" Plasma, very neat with no wires, S/W is wireless and was picked up first time when switching it on. DVD Upscaling is excellent, sound from Sky HD+ with… Read more
opyical cable connected is fantastic. S/W can be overpowering but but by using the sound edit button on the remote you can be adjusted. I set the S/W to "0" when listening to the FM Radio
