Bass up high – Received as a gift and was blown away at the quality of sound it produced. The bass was great and you could adjust the setting accordingly. Show reply

Better than the standard TV speakers – The Samsung curved sound bar looks great and pairs perfectly with a curved tv with a subtle curve matching the tv. The sound output is much better than the output from the tv but does not replicate the surrounding sound of a 7.1 system. The speakers feature Bluetooth which is great for pairing your mobile phone to.  Show details

Incredible sound. Audiophile approved – Just wow, this soundbar is amazing - I never thought I would hear such clear crisp sound coming out of such a compact device. The subwoofer seems more powerful than it is, without being overpowering - such a well matched system. It's not quite as good as a set of studio reference monitors, but it's not far off. A very nice piece of gear, well… Read more

thought out, feature packed. Wireless sub which keeps the wiring neat, integrates perfectly with the Samsung TV - no extra remote required. Bluetooth option and integrated spotify are also the cheese. 11/10

Good product - good sound – I replaced our traditional amplifier and speaker range with this unit. Sound bars are a great way to create space and remove clutter from your entertainment unit (less speakers, amplifier, sub woofer, remotes...etc). You also gain simplicity. I had Samsung TV and Blu Ray - so they link in with the speaker system automatically. eg You turn the… Read more ·  1

TV on - the speaker hooks up. You switch over to Blu Ray - the speaker automatically hooks up. The TV, Blu Ray and Speaker can largely be managed via one standard remote.

The speaker comes with an LED display on the the bar lets you know both sound levels and what it is connected with - which can be handy (see below). The remote control that comes with the speaker is rarely required (see below)

If you like your movies LOUD - then this will not be as good as the old Amp set up. Same goes with the sub woofer - it is not as good as a serious amp connected SW. However, if "normal" sound levels work for you - you will like this unit.

The only issue that annoys me sometimes is when you switch back from your blu ray to TV - the speaker does not always work it out, leaving you in silence. This is easy fixed with the speaker remote control and you simply manually switch the source from HDMI to TV. Hence the speaker remote and LED display is handy !!

I have no regrets buying this unit. Got a great price at Costco. What you loose in power you make up for it in functionality.

Fantastic sound – I have never has a sound bar before. It is so fantastic that I will never go without one again. Love It. The sound is so clear and then watching movies you can hear the "surround sound" perfectly clear. I have never had any problems with it . It was really easy to setup.  Show details

Great – This system is awesome. I purchased this a few months ago and have never had any major issues. I had a bit of trouble setting it up but now it works a dream. No matter how loud I turn it doesn't loose sound quality at all. I can guarantee that you would be happy with this speaker. It has wifi, it has an Aux port which is helpful.

Great sound and fits the curved tv perfectly – I purchased the Samsung Series 6 soundbar in conjunction with a Samsung curved tv. In my open living area, the sound is incredible. The wireless subwoofer pumps out the bass effortlessly; the speakers in the soundbar capture all the midrange and tweeters exceptionally. There's really no simulated "surround sound" given I don't have solid walls for… Read more

the sound to reflect off of, but everyone who's come over to watch movies and play PlayStation is suitably impressed.

After purchasing this soundbar, I would not go with a straight soundbar of any sort with a curved tv -- that would just look ridiculous. Samsung's curved bar matches their tvs curvatures perfectly; I suspect it would fit well with other manufacturer's curved tvs as well like LG's.

It easily connects to the tv both through an HDMI cable and through Samsung's "Sound connect" (thus eliminating the need for a cable if no video is connected through the HDMI). That leads me to a drawback -- the soundbar only has 1 HDMI input, with a video pass through. It is strongly recommended that if you have something like a 3D blu-ray player and no surround-sound receiver, you run the HDMI signial through the soundbar so it can decode the 5.1 or 7.1 channel sound you have, while allowing the video to pass through to the tv. Unfortunately, what this means is if you have multiple devices that output multiple sound channels, you have to keep switching cables or find an alternate means.

The other thing that annoys me is hooking it up to wifi. Once I've done that, now every time I turn on my wireless hotspot, regardless of what's playing through the soundbar, you get the "ding ding" from it with the small message that it's connected to the network. I wish the put in the ability to TURN OFF the wifi on the soundbar when you don't want it on. But it's always on and will always go "ding ding" when it finds a wifi network it's registered to connect to.

Another feature which causes annoyances is when you configure something like your laptop to connect to the soundbar via bluetooth, every time your laptop starts up, if the soundbar is on it goes, "ding ding", connects, and then switches the input to be the bluetooth device instead of what you had. Thus, if you're in the middle of watching a movie, and you boot up your laptop, when your laptop comes up it will connect to the soundbar, and the soundbar will no longer output the audio from the movie, but instead switch to whatever the computer is outputting via bluetooth. In my opinion, Samsung needs to fix this because if I'm watching a movie or something, I want the soundbar to keep playing the audio from the movie if a bluetooth device connects until I tell it to switch to the bluetooth device.

The auxiliary input is a nice feature -- I occasionally hook up my MP3 player and the sound that comes out is amazing. It also works well if you want to plug in the headphone output from a laptop computer if you have your playlist on it.

While overall it is a bit pricey, it outputs fantastic sound that the average family/joe-schmoe user will seriously appreciate. To top it off, the curvature is aesthetically pleasing when paired with a curved tv.
