Faulty design. Worse customer service. Do not purchase this product. Save your money and get a $120 no name vac stick and pocket the change. through Samsung support. Going back and forth with Samsung support, each time being asked the same stpid questions, asked for video evidence, after which I had to drive it in for repair. At what stage do they bother with a refund and recognising it is a faulty product? The motorised brush head has now broken down again a 3rd time along with the smaller one that I've used as a temporary measure. I'm not going to bother going through support cycle again. $500 down the drain.
Update: don't bother with product review mediation. Even after mentioning that it failed immediately after purchase, and having taken it into repair to their service twice already, these jokers are asking me to jump through the same service procedure a 3rd time JUST to prove its faulty BEFORE asking to escalate it to another "Voice of the Customer" department. What kind of sick consumer advocacy joke is this? How about you just replace the freaking faulty part altogether and straight away rather than make the customer jump through a thousand hoops?
I'll take the loss but won't be buying any products from this company ever again. Just remember, this product lasted 1 week before I had to take it into repair. $500.
Just ok – We purchased this vacuum for our tiled apartment. Works really well. see the 2 damaged parts and agreed that it should be covered by warranty and to expect it back in 2-4 weeks). Initially the Samsung service centre called me to state that it was CID (customer induced damage) which is not covered under warranty. When pressed on the matter, it turns out they hadn't even inspected it yet!!! To cut a long story short with many frustrating calls from the Samsung service centre, they still refused to cover it. JB hifi was simply marvellous and opted to pay for the repairs themselves!!!!! I finally received the vacuum back after 3 months with some bonus damage from the service centre which I have just decided to live with because Samsung are sooooo hard to deal with. I will always support JB for this kind of customer service and have decided to boycott ALL Samsung products for the rest of forever!!!! The warranty is not worth the paper it is written on - don't be fooled! You have been warned.
Battery Life – We found the Jet 70 was great for the floors but sadly it didn't last long enough to do an effective job for our needs This type of vacuum is suited to very quick use and spot cleaning and is not suited for people with pets and a lot of carpeted areas to take care of Show details

Not good – Initially I was very pleased with its performance and I was always very careful to clean the dust collector and filter properly. forget putting it on maximum as the battery completely drains in 5 minutes. If you put it on the low setting you need to at least go over one room three times.

Built to fail just out of warranty - instructions how to fix – The entire motor assembly which the dust collection attaches to, is mounted to three very small plastic posts which extrude around 10mm. The force required when attaching the dust bin will lead to the posts shearing at the base. motor mount breaks out of warranty, you can fix by the following steps: 1) Remove the dust bin 2) Remove the filter around the motor by rotating it to the unlock position and removing 3) Remove the three philips screws securing the fan assembly 4) Remove the fan assembly and push the broken plastic posts out of the rubber. 5) Install 3x new 3mmx15mm self tapping screws - these are just long enough to screw into the bulk of the plastic frame. 6) Stop supporting Samsung for this environmentally destructive practice.
Looked like a winner but its a dud – We purchased the unit on the 31st July from The Good Guys, in store. It was the last unit and an ex-demo, but the Good Guys sales rep and the in-house Samsung sales rep assured us it would be covered equally on the warranty. home, upon taking off the dustbin to load in the Clean Station, the entire motor unit came away. The three screw mountings in the molded handle had all cracked. The Good Guys have so far refused to replace it until after the current Melbourne lockdown is lifted (however we can buy a new one online and collect from the same store that will not accept us getting a replacement. No logic there). Samsung did pick it up and have one of their service providers review it. They said it is not covered under warranty. Overall a painful customer service experience by the retailer, especially, as looking at other reviews on this site, it is a known issue.
Poor design/ manufacturing/ even worse warranty T&Cs – Extremely disappointed with this vacuum, and more importantly Samsung themselves. When I returned it under a warranty claim Samsung (via their SA repair agent Camtec) refused to honour it, deeming the damage to be a result of CID (Customer Induced Damage). When I contacted Samsung direct I was forced to speak to their offshore call centre. They made a commitment to pass my complaint onto their Australian Head Office however, no return communication to my complaint was ever received. When I contacted their SA repair agent (Camtec) they informed me that they had encountered the exact same issue before, are were advised by Samsung to void the warranty as CID, regardless of the circumstances. In the end I was forced to pay $140 of repairs for damage which is obviously caused by poor design or inferior manufacturing processes. Don't buy a Samsung vacuum cleaner, get a Dyson.
Fabulous – Love my new Samsung Jet 70. It’s so much lighter and easier to use. I particularly like the on/off button instead of holding the trigger on the entire time like the Dyson, that was not good for mr arthritis. Have mainly wooden floors and I can finally do my whole house with out battery dying. Show details
Better then Dyson – It’s much better to quality, had Dyson and was due to a new one Bought Samsung lates model, twice cheaper and doing great job. Battery last longer, more powerful. Better value

good vacuum till it breaks – its a good vacuum however it has two flaws, the canister has a weak plastic tab that will break and its a $44 part or if you claim under warranty you have to take the vacuum to a authorized repair place regardless of what you say. Love it – After lots of research, I am extremely happy with this purchase. I have a large house and a small dog. Hard floors need the soft brush and I find that the low setting is fine so use for around 25mins which does them all easily. been plenty for a couple of bedrooms and rugs. The high setting only lasts for 5mins, which initially concerned me greatly, but I haven't needed to use it since. It is very light and easy to get under furniture, and I love that I don't have to hold the trigger. Recharging doesn't take too long and the cleaning station works well, without having to bang the bin, damaging it and creating dust. Glad that I didn't spend the extra on the VS90 as this one is sufficient, and for $699 I also got the cleaning station from Harvey Norman on line a couple of months ago. I still have a corded vac which I have only used once after 2 months, but providing this stick holds up well for a couple of years, I wouldn't replace the corded one.
An adequate alternative – I purchased the VS70 as an experiment after using Dyson stick vacuums for years and getting unhappier with their pricing. others. I can actually have a conversation with the household members or watch TV while using it. 3. The one-push on/off power button is convenient to use, combined with the weight distribution towards the cleaning head more than the handheld-unit, it is very friendly for people with arthritis in fingers and encouraging small children to do housecleaning. 4. The cleaning station (which we bought at a promotional bundle price with a considerable discount) is worth the investment. It makes emptying the canister dust-free, hassle-free. I use it once everyday after cleaning the entire floor. The canister is looking forever clean and shiny.
Cons 1. For deep carpet cleaning high-setting is required, however the battery does not last very long on high. So if you rooms are mostly covered with carpets, this might not be a good choice. 2. The tiny wheels on the cleaning head (not the roller) can stop rolling after getting entangled with lots of long human and animal hairs. And it is not a pleasant experience taking them out to clean. 3. Opening the default canister involves more steps compared to those drop-door style canisters. On the flip side it can be removed completely allowing for a thorough clean in the sink if needed. 4. Samsung website does not offer a wide variety of replaceable parts and accessories compared to the Dyson. I am yet to find out how about Samsung's customer service quality
Recommended for people whose house has at least half of wooden/tile floorings, who have small kids, or people with conditions in their hands/fingers Cleaning station: highly recommended for those with hayfever/asthema issues or just hygienically fussy like me.
