Just over 2 years old..and dying – Purchase the Samsung stick vacuum Nov 2018 after having a Dyson (as the sales person at Good Guys gave good review (after reading all reviews - they must've gotten a sales commission). Now there is no battery life ... do I buy a new battery or cut my losses and go back to Dyson or even Miele ? Show details
Poor Quality – Worst vacuum design and poor quality. We have returned this twice. Disappointing purchase. If you have long hair would not recommend. The rollers get jammed and stops rolling. The lock-in clip for the upper part of the wand into the handle has also broken. Not worth the money spent. Sick of having to return for the same fault. We have a Samsung washing machine which lasted 15 years pity your vacuums are not designed with the same quality. Show details
Useless Powerstick – I use my powerstick on carpet as well as tiles - Ok on carpet but not good on titles. After using it, I pick it up to put it away and some of the dirt I have just vacuumed falls out on the floor It keeps cutting out even when there is plenty of charge It is very difficult to take apart to empty the dust I have a Bosch which performs much better I get frustrated trying to use it Wouldn't buy another Samsung - waste of money Show details
Poor battery life and stopped functioning – I use this on carpet and wooden floor, after 5-6 month of use the battery life reduced to just 3-4 mins max. The suction power is also reduced significantly. It also stopped running on low suction power and now only works on high suction setting. Would definitely not recommend this product. Show details

Always cutting out even after filter clean and the battery system completely inadequate .Very disappointed – Used on tiles and carpet For the past 2 years, very low suction and does not live up to expectations from Samsung. Do not buy this system it’s a waste of money. Show details

Great Vacuum Cleaner – Great vacuum cleaner, have used it on tiles and carpet and floorboards, suction is very powerful! Has lots of attachments which come in handy especially for hard to reach spaces. Show reply
Battery life is really unbelievable – Google says this has 40 mins running time but it is actually 7 mins on the description of this website. I just bought this 2 days ago and it lasted 7 mins after fully charged first time. Can't even clean entire my room with this item. ( even Dyson V6 lasts 20 mins ) And I thought it would be okay if I have an extra battery and it costs $200 :( … Read more

Automatic stopped working – I used this vacuum for a while and been upset most of the time since it always stopped working automatically while i’m using it. It’s stopped eventhough the dustbin is not even half full and the battery is not enough for me to clean half of my house. I used Dyson before and missed it a lot Show details

Had this just over 2 years old and it’s nearly fallen apart – Brought this product just over 2 years ago. I’ve finally cracked it tonight as more parts have broken off it. The sales person Gave it a good wrap, saying it’s much better than the Dyson. The product started off alright, but after 3 months went in for its first warranty fix, ( kept on turning on and off even with all filters cleaned, and the flex… Read more
handle stopped locking in.) Product was repaired within 2 weeks. About 6 months later it went back in again for the same issue, got it back after about 2 weeks again.
Over time the battery life deteriorated significantly and I was having to clean the filters out after every single vacuum or else it wouldn’t have been able to suck the skin off a rice pudding.
I’ve now had the little rubber roller under the attachment head break, the lock-in clip for the upper part of the wand into the handle has broken, as has the clip that locks in the rotating part of the attachment.
Given I paid $800 for the product, not achieving 2 years of use is pretty damn disgusting. I recently went to the place I purchased from and noticed they no longer stock the product and it honestly doesn’t surprise me.
I own Samsung microwave, washing machine and dryer and tv’s and have never had any issues with these products.

I love Samsung n i love my ProStick – Got this as a bday present from my other half; originally wanted a Dyson but have been extremely satisfied. Sleek, powerful suction. Mutiple attachments. Very satisfied. Different attachments for certain surfaces. If it switches on n off; just need to check the filter is clogged. Has high function for super suction but if u use that constantly time usage only lasts about 8mins which isnt very long. Show details · 1
Waste of money – The only thing I can use this vacuum cleaner for is to get some fluff off the carpet but it won't do hard vacuuming. It cloggs up and stops operating after a minute or so even on my carpet. Sleek Good Guys salesperson told me the good reviews they had and my mistake on not check this site. wonder why. I fixed my 15 year old Wortheim vacuum cleaner by getting a new head @ $25.00 and vacuums 100 times better than the Samsung and I kissed my $600.00 goodbye. I can't understand where these businesses get all the good reviews from? they obviously pay for them.

A waste of money – We bought one from The Good Guys and it's been a complete waste of money. I wished I had bought a Dyson and in future will do so as this is a waste of space. apparently going to take weeks. The right thing for the Good Guys and Samsung would have been to replace it under warranty but they won't. I have a Dyson cordless at work and it's way better. This vacuum is a waste of money. Seriously if you are thinking of buying one, don't. You will waste your money and experience absolutely non existent customer service as well as a supplier who will go to great lengths not to uphold their obligations under Australian Consumer Law. As a result I will most likely never buy another Samsung product which includes TV, refrigerator, air conditioner, smartphone, smart watch etc etc.

This vacuum does not work and has been a complete waste of money – This vacuum never worked for us! Every time I have used this vacuum it is lucky to vacuum half a room ( thats the best I've managed) and the vacuum head blocks and unit stops working . cannot fathom Samsung would charge so much for such a terrible product.. My husband purchased this without checking reviews first - If only we had looked we would have seen how poor this is! We had just bought Samsung washer and were looking at more Samsung products but this has really put me off as I cant understand how they released such a poorly performing product.

Gets clogged up all the time – Bought the pro as it would supposedly be more efficient. It is extremely difficult to clean and gets clogged up all the time. Took it back to retailer as stopped working and was told I might be charged an inspection fee I send it back for repair. Can't believe I spent 600 dollars on this garbage. Instead of saving me work at home it gives me work to operate. Cleaning parts are very unfriendly and difficult to maneuver. Very unsatisfied customer Show details

Unfortunately disappointing – Worked well for the first few months then started really deteriorating it’s a very difficult machine to clean a lot of dust gets caught in the sponge filter and it’s hard to clean any hair out of the powder head brush. Eventually the motor really started playing up it got really loud (sounded like it was going to explode) I would then give the vac and the filter a really good clean it would be quiet for a while then start all over again. I’n the end the powderhead stopped spinning and I took it to back to exchange it for a Dyson. It was a shame really $800 is a lot of money to spend on a vac, especially when you spend more time cleaning it then it cleans the house.

Not built to last and terrible service it broke – I liked this machine but do not recommend buying anything from Samsung. does get "full" of dog hair before it looks full. I did want to buy a spare sponge filter so that I could have one to use while the first was drying. This is not easy though, Samsung only allow you to buy through service centres that are only open 9-5.00 Monday to Friday and a long way from where I work. If I want to get one, I'll need to take time off work or pay for someone to post one to me (and hope it's the right one). Why they don't just sell them through accessible retailers (who carry the vacuums) or online is beyond me. For that reason alone I can't recommend them. UPDATE 2021: So less than three years old and the pipe on this cleaner snapped while vacuuming and I've spent three weeks trying to find out what to do. I contacted the technical team for a part number, they told to contact sales, who told me to contact technical, called them - too busy, told me to call back later and hung up one me. I did get Samsung to look at the photo and they decided it was "not due to normal use", not sure what they think I was doing but I'm pretty certain I've got the hang of vacuuming after 40 years and that's all I was doing. Anyway, I can now pay a fee equivalent to or more than the part replacement cost to get an "assessment" and even to get a replacement, I have to drive out to their service centres (over an hour round trip for me. They suggested that I get it repaired- I have no idea how it could possibly be repaired (see picture).

Wouldn't recommend – I've had the vacuum for nearly six months; I don't vacuum too often but find the Samsung ProStick good. It cleans the rugs getting all the fluff off around the edges. The dustbin is small, and when full, you have to drag out some of the fluff as it gets stuck in the chamber. If the dustbin is full, the vacuum cuts out. The vacuum comes with a… Read more
couple of heads and various attachments, just right for cleaning the car, removing dust from blinds before cleaning, vacuuming the mattress. One head for carpets and a soft head for wooden floors. It's light, quiet and easy to use. Last week I cleaned the Astra turf in the double carport where our border collie sleeps; it hadn't been vacuumed for 4 months; I emptied the dustbin three times, cleaning out the dust and hairs, the pipes are small and under such use get blocked, but they all came quickly apart. I soon managed to have them clean and reassembled. Next time for such a job, I will use my old Dyson corded barrels vacuum as the dustbin and pipes are quite larger. Overall very handy around the house. Shortly after this review, the vacuum kept cutting out, so I cleaned the filters thoroughly. So I usually use the vacuum as a handheld device and occasionally vacuum the carpets to avoid blocking the filters.
3 months later, I had a problem with the vacuum cutting out before the container became full, I… Read more

Great performance. ATROCIOUS warranty/claims process! Future owners be aware – Purchased the Powerstick Pro on 5th July 2018 from a Major SA retailer. Whilst the device offers amazing suction one must clean the filters on a regular basis (every couple of months), which is a simple "wash under a tap & dry" basis. Nothing new here, our Dyson was the same. Beware when using the powerhead attachment over tufted carpet or woven… Read more
rug, as this puts extra strain on the upper wand/vacuum body junction point, so much so that the top of the wand broke. I returned the vacuum to the retailer who advised me that it was over 3 months old and would need to be taken to an authorised Service Repair centre, in this case Camtec at 21 Croydon Road, Keswick SA. After completing paperwork for the repair order, we waited approx. 1 week for notification of the job status over email advising “check and tested unit. Physical damage found to wand on unit. Non warranty defect. Inspection fee of $66.00” Unsure whether the unit had actually been repaired I proceeded to call Camtec on the local number, but it appears all calls are diverted to a call centre in Bali. After quizzing the lady on the status of the repair she said she would investigate and get back to me over email. After waiting 4 days and still no email, I rang Camtec again (diverted to the same call centre in Bali) to look into whether the appliance had been repaired. The lady on the other end said she would investigate and call back or email with an update. After waiting a further 5 days, I received NOTHING so visited Camtec personally at their Keswick address on March 26 2019. Speaking to the gentleman behind the counter I was told the damage wasn’t covered under warranty and that I would be liable to pay the $66 inspection fee. For what??? I raised the fact that I knew exactly what the damage was when I originally brought the PowerstickPro in, (owing to a weak point in the design of the device). I then asked the gentleman could I get a price for the replacement part (the wand) to which he said he couldn’t UNTIL I paid the $66 Inspection fee! I said that was ridiculous – what if the replacement part was $300 then I’d be better off buying an entirely new Powerstick. I asked could I get a price range for the part? Again, this request was denied and I had to pay the $66. After giving up in frustration, I paid the $66 Inspection fee, was told the replacement part (wand) was $123, so paid for that in full & asked for the vacuum back (in case, Samsung were going to charge me for clicking the replacement wand into place when it arrives). This is the last SAMSUNG product I will ever own. Not that I expect a call from anyone here at Samsung Australia, but I welcome the opportunity to chat.

Absolutely rubbish – Bought this in jb hifi around November 2018. The turbo head gets clogged everytime we vacuum up hair. Then it stops spinning. It's been in for repair twice which takes 4 weeks at a time. This keeps happening. This is 110% a massive design flaw. It's near impossible to suck up all the hair then vacuum with the turbo head. It serves no purpose if I have to do that. Show details

Don't bother. Wait for a few versions time – Construction is pretty sub par for samsung. It's not very strong. Joint get wobbly after normal use before 6 months. Maintenance is pretty easy. Don't overfill the bin. Clean all the filters out every 4-5 uses. Attachments work well, when they aren't flapping about because of the structural faults. Second battery is way overpriced.
Skip this version and the next few. Wait for the bugs to be ironed out. If it was under 500 with a second battery it would be a good buy. But for what it is now it's not worth it.

Not happy with this vacuum – This vacuum seems to be flawed. It consistently turns itself off after 5-10 seconds use. Almost all of the dust gets caught at the top of the collector, which blocks it, allowing hardly any to drop to the bottom. There's a 'Max' line much higher up, but the dust that does get through doesn't even get a 1/5 of the way up to the line before the… Read more
vacuum starts turning itself off. It's a hassle to tip all the dust out. The sponge filter needs to be thoroughly clean for it to work, but it doesn't stay clean for long at all. After about 5 minutes use the vacuum starts to turn itself off again. We've only had it about six months and it's been doing it since new. Because it's been longer than 3 months, we were told we can't swap it for a replacement, and we'd have to take it to a repair center to be assessed, which could take weeks. We don't have a back up vacuum so we're a bit reluctant to go through this process. The way we see it, the vacuum is not fit for purpose, or faulty, so we should be able to either swap it for a replacement or refund.
Good product – Bought this vac for using in my two story house on carpet and tiles. It comes with many accessories and is good to use as a backup vac. To vac the whole house with this just takes too long, have gone back to using the ducted system. The Samsung has good suction and is good for vacuuming the car. But I don't think it is good enough to be your only vacuum cleaner, great as a back up unit. Show details
Dont waste your money – I have had this Powerstick vacuum for two months after having my previous Powerstick vacuum replaced. The first one was replaced as it kept cutting out after 10 seconds when I turned it on, even though it was fully charged and the dust bin had been emptied from previous vacuum. I had only used it about once per week for 4 weeks before this issue… Read more
became apparent. I took it to the Samsung service centre who had never seen them before so had no idea what was wrong with it. They thought it was the battery so they changed the battery and I took it home, charged the battery and then the same issue occurred. I took it back to service centre the next day and they tried to tell me I had to use it on turbo mode constantly. Not happy as it clearly states in the manual that it has two power settings. So they decided they couldn't fix it so I had to wait for Samsung to contact me. Samsung replaced it after a few weeks and I took the new one home. After about 4 weeks the same issue occurred. I am very disappointed in this product as it obviously has a design fault and will only work properly if the dustbin is emptied before every single use even through it isn't even 1/4 full. I have wood flooring so don't have to vacuum often as i don't have much dust/dirt but this is really not good enough. The only Pro is that it does have good suction when it actually works but unfortunately I have had two lemons. I do not recommend this product at all.

Doesn't compare to my Dyson Barrel vac – I have a small apartment and the Samsung struggles to vacumn a room without losing suction and needing to be emptied. Owned for 9 months now and not living up to expectations – Samsung POWERstick pro with soft floor tool. RRP $799. Updating my review as not living up to expectations - its now 15/07/2019 - 9 months after I took it out of the box. so it needs emptying frequently. The foam filter needs cleaning at least every second clean as if it is blocked - and it often is - it needs washing and then you need to wait for it to dry which is a pain.
It does not do edges well and really I can't get away with running the cleaner along the wall like I can with my plug in Dyson. You must switch to the skirting attachment and really, because there is no brush on that it is not that effective.
I mainly use my plug in Dyson and use this vacuum for quick touch up jobs and for that I'm now giving it 3 stars not the original 5 stars.
I left my old review here as well -
Picked up this amazing stick vacuum yesterday on special at the Good Guys for $649, but i then talked them down to $635- cheaper than the more basic model which was on at $699. It is the perfect stick vacuum on the market in my opinion. It is everything I like about stick vacuums minus the things I don't like about the LG cord zero and the Dyson V10.
Great ergonomics As soon as I took this thing off its dock and placed it on the floor I thought it held great promise. It is light, but not flimsy, and is balanced to perfection. The handle was comfortable and it had a simple on/off switch - the turbo boost feature is trigger operated, but for short bursts this is fine. It means you are not taking your eyes off the floor to look for the feature on your handle. On the shop floor I could feel it pulling the carpet - gliding across it with ease, not losing contact. A quick glimpse of the exisitng reviews on this sight - only 2 of them to date were both positive, so I took a risk and grabbed one anyway.
Great performance On paper the suction is up to 150W which is 10W more than the LG cordzero and the same as the Dyson V10, however I felt that it picked up more than the heavier Dyson. The Samsung battery is 32.4V lithium ion battery and the Dyson is a 25.2V lithium ion battery. The LG is a 25.55V battery by way of comparison.
What I like about this unit is that the battery is replaceable and you can purchase a second if you want to for $199 from Samsung. The run time is reported at 40 mins which I think is pretty good. See how you go before you buy that second battery though - I won't be bothering!
Charge your unit first - i didn't and my battery ran out quickly - when it was fully charged it ran like a dream.
This machine pulls everything you can see from the carpet with just one pass and I have a moulting Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to contend with. My corded Dyson Animal Barrel cleaner requires a lot more passes to achieve the same result.
On a fully charged battery I cleaned the entire downstairs of my 2 storey home within 15 minutes!
On my bathroom, laundry, foyer, casual dining and kitchen tiles the same basic attachment was perfect and I didn't bother swapping out to the soft brush attachment for my rumpus room timber laminate floors and there are no scratches.
I tried the turbo brush today on my lounge carpet just for kicks today and wow - it pulled even more dirt out. Its best use was on my carpetted stairs which I will be able to do way quicker and more effectively now.
My machine is wall hung in my under stair cupboard and it fit beautifully - the bottom part of the vacuum where the head hangs is quite flush with the wall so it won't get knocked about. I will ask hubby to get some hooks to hang my extra attachments so that I can grab them easily, as only the crevice tool and the dusting brush tool fit on the mount. I have a soft brush, a turbo tool and a bendy tool thing to hang as well
Think I will be vacuuming everyday now. If you don't have polished wooden floors get the basic model, you really won't need that attachment, unless your floors scratch easily. I only got it as it was on special.
