Bought a Samsung higher end QD series soundbar 11.2 channel. terrible sound and not worth the money so called Samsung in few days to take it back and refund the money. Case was raised, in few days a their Philippines call center transferred the case to the Australian call centre. A customer care rep based in Australia and said tough luck no refund and cant do anything. I asked the case to be escalated and was promised as her manage would call me.

Days passed, no call from Samsung Australia so contacted them back but call had to go to their call centre in Philippine and they could not give any update. Waited for another week and still nothing, so called them last week and was told the case is already closed and not more updates. Again I asked to speak to a supervisor so after being on hold for 30 or so minutes, was promised that someone will call. The rep in offshore call Centre repeatedly massaged their colleagues in Australia but they did not entertain her and rejected the request.

Today their offshore rep called me and said the Australian team has rejected the case and there is nothing more to be done. I asked for the Samsung Australia's number and was advised they cant give their contact details and will not give me details of the case manager. Now this case manager closed my case without any investigation to input. I asked for an outcome vi and email and was advised Samsnung doesn’t emails customer and you get nothing in writing. What a class leading way to deal with customers? All Samsung needs is our cash and then it’s good bye.

I was advised that this is how Samsung deals with complaints, they call customer once and no matter what close the case and the customer can never ask for a review or speak with the case manager.

It appears the offshore call centre is designed so Australian Samsung customer can never contact their local call centre. Its a multibillion $ company that has no intention to assist customers. Shameful behaviour by Samsung Australia. I also mentioned Australian Consumer law and they couldn't careless.

Not good for music fans – Sounds good with the TV sounds. Not a good product for music. It seems like the woofer only work with very bass like music (deep house). Not very good with Spotify premium. It lacks loudness. I don't recommend this product for music fans. Very limited support from Samsung Australia who not acknowledged these common complaints.

This thing is a beast! – All my research led me to the 990D being the one to go for, and having a Samsung TV it made sense. Firstly, it was very easy to setup, literally plugged it in and that was it. The Smart Things app is very handy to change all the settings. Secondly, this thing sounds incredible, particularly with movies, music less so but still very impressive for a sound bar. The volume can be enormous if that's your thing but at normal levels the sound is full and immersive....the sub-woofer does an excellent job filling in the bass. People complain about the small display that scrolls but I've had no issues with it...you quickly figure out the first 3 letters of the description, so people need to relax there. Works well with my ARC TV (no eARC)...I just turn the TV on and on the soundbar goes, easy. When you compare the sound quality and features with other premium soundbars, it's a bargain, especially if you get it on sale like I did. It's a heavy beast and I mounted on the wall, the brackets aren't the sturdiest but definitely sturdy enough
