$4500 for a TV that lasted 4 years. These products aren't made with any type of longevity. Samsung used to be the "it" brand and now I will never touch them again. Customer service center wasted 1hr of my time on the phone, emailing them photos etc, just for the final question to be "what was the purchase date" to then tell me they wouldn't… Read more

cover it. Maybe ask that question first before wasting my time.

Got sent a 15% off voucher for the Samsung website as a "token". As if I'll be buying another Samsung TV just for it to die after 4 years again.

I have had cheaper TV's last 3 times as long as this.

Bye Samsung.

HD looks like SD, picture bleeds – Functionality is good but watching sports (mainly AFL on Fox Footy HD or NBA on ESPN other satellite or terrestrial HD channels) the picture bleeds and is fuzzy especially from cameras mounted high in the stands. Pretty disappointed as paid over $2,000 for this tv specifically for sports. Show details

Never Buy Again – Wanted to upgrade to a smart TV, have always liked Samsung...suffice to say very disappointed...anything that's black looks like the fog has rolled in. No amount of adjusting makes any difference. Love the smart functions...but should of kept my plasma. No help from Samsung or where I bought from...its just how it is! I would have to add though Samsung did replace the screen - although better still not entirely happy with model. Show details

Worst TV ever – The Tv sounds fluctuate very loud to minimum without any input after watching for 20 -25 minutes. The loud sound issue is causing problem with my kids waking up at night and we no longer can use tv after 7pm.I have found now screen bleeding issue too recently. After sending numerous emails, calls and chats Samung sent technician to check the tv who… Read more

did 5 minutes check and sent report to samsung that the tv is ok.I have made it very clear that issue is noticed only after watching tv for 20-25 minutes in my emails/messages whwn i reported. How can someone just check for 5 mins and declare tgat the tv is ok. Then they came back and ask to send video of issue ,which i did after number of days effort. After weeks they said the video is unsatisfactory and said to send with volume levels. It is next to impossible as the loud noise goes up and down in short period of time.I have no other option than to seek ombudsman assistace or conumer affairs now.then might need to throw in bin.The tv is just 6 months old and issue was reported after just 3 months.I will not buy any samsung product and they treat me like criminal.

Unusable brand new – We bought this tv to watch stan, play the nintendo switch on and play the apps "Anime lab" and "Crunchyroll" (anime watching apps). We don't watch free to air tv at all. We got the tv, set it up, and immediately found like all things samsung, it was FULL of bloatware apps. Apps that run automatically that you can't disable or delete. The tv AUTO… Read more

PLAYS their own samsung apps and doesn't allow you to delete them or disable them. If you do, it just moves down the list and autoplays the next thing... We googled how to fix this issue as we weren't fond of their own fail army chanel auto playing every time we turn the tv on. Found the only fix to be to plug the playstation into it and set that as the default setting the tv tries to use every time.

The guy that sold us the tv promised us that it woudl be able to play all apps as Samsung is the leader in android tech and that it updates regularly to allow for newer apps. He was half correct. It does update and it does let you get apps but Animelab (an app that works on almost all other tv's) didn't work fully. It would allow us to play shows, but we got no skip buttons to work, no ffwds or rewind either. No skip the credits/beginnings like we would get on phone and our old tv which was a sony bravia. The app was pretty much useless.

Stan worked fine, picture was good, colours (like everything samsung) was over saturated and whites tended to get blown out too even in anime. And even with the tv's "intelligence sense" turned on to accomodate for the changing light condiditons in the room as the day progresses.

But the real nail in the coffin for this was the juddering once i tried to play my switch (animal crossing to be precise). Every single time my character runs across the screen, the tv drops frame rates and gets motion blurring. I lasted all of 4 mins playing the game even with my character walking it still did it.

I googled the issue and found thousands of other unhappy customers saying theirs does the same thing, even when sports are on tv. That they'd contacted Samsung and recieved replies saying that Samsung knows about this issue and that they'd get an update when they'd sovled the issues- That was YEARS ago (this tv is old stock now- even though Samsung is still making tvs with this issue- google forums to check).

Samsung clearly puts all their effort into their phones and doesn't really give a hoot about making poor quality tv's. In the end we took the tv back to the good guys and got a refund. Definitely will never buy anything Samsung again.

Looks Great, Works great.. when it works. 3 months old, dead panel. Samsung Support woefully slow – After the last 10 years of growing through the range of 55", 65" and 70" LG TV's and with the 70" LG giving up the ghost after only 5 years (1st repair was after only 2 years) I thought it time to look elsewhere. of the Samsung.

For the last 2 months I have been enjoying almost everything about the TV. Intuitive interface in the software, easy install of the apps (although Samsung TV app is woeful) and gives me access to all the latest streaming and FTA catchup services. The interface was quick, remote was simple (although I was missing the LG magic want pointer..) and the picture quality was good. Overall, I was quite happy with the shift to Samsung.

That is until something goes wrong. And it went wrong so early too - only 3 months from new. In hindsight I should have gone to the point o1f purchase (JBHifi) for them to rectify the situation, but you would think if you went direct to the manufacturer things would happen more quickly, no..? Well, no....

Service guys (ie NOT Samsung) were quick to arrive and suss the problem as a dead panel and then handed the situation back to Samsung.... and things went quiet.

A assurance of "Resolution in 24-48 hours" went to *me* calling Samsung three days later. A replacement would be offered - To be kept up to date and in the loop would be appreciated.

Now I am in the 4th day of waiting for "someone to get back to you to sort the details".... Crickets chirp....

with dark movies might aswell be watching all black with brightness 100 percent as there is no local dimming you can't see a thing.

The speakers are also terrible so don't get excited about them.. You will need a soundbar.

I called samsung and they want to send a tech out ? It's less then 1 day old out the box no thank you!

I highly regret my purchase and have just wasted my time and money.

Great TV. Apart from the massive clouding and flash lighting issue they won’t fix – Brand new 75” Q70T Samsung bought from Harvey Norman. The same day it arrived, I noticed bad bad bad flashlighting/ backlight bleed/ clouding across the entire screen (Similar but not quite as bad as another poster on here). Samsung arranged for their techs to come out after I showed them how bad the issue was from the photos I had taken. I… Read more

had also showed the tech company in advance and they put a new panel on order after seeing the proof. When the techs arrived, they checked out the TV (middle of the day with abundant natural light flooding into the room) and said it was within standards. Despite showing them the photos and pleading my case, that surely Samsung could not agree that this is of acceptable standard for the Australian marketplace, they left.

In my opinion, if this is how the unit works, (and Samsung have indeed said this unit is within the standard they accept), it’s completely unfit for the Australian market.

This tv is only watchable during the day. At night, it’s too distracting and infuriating.

The only advice I have received is that I “should have bought the Q80T because it isn’t plagued with these backlight issues”.

If this is deemed acceptable quality by Samsung, they’ve lost me.

Dead pixel after 2 months operation – Brilliant picture and features but all this is fine on paper and in principle so long as it functions. However after 2 months use, some pixels died and the bottom lower half of the screen had been compromised. Samsung 75" Q70T – Had a few TV's over the years and recently updated or 5 year old 65" Panasonic LCD to new Samsung QLED Q70T, its awesome, fantastic picture and set has many features, look forward to viewing it each night. Some on forums went on about how many nits it has (whatever they are) others gave rave reviews and just a few not, but I don't care its a super clear and sharp TV. Poor Samsung Customer Service for Faulty TV – Bought the 65” Q70T direct from Samsung and had it delivered on 24 July. The delivery person kindly set up the tv for me. That evening I noticed a shadow on the screen. I chatted with Samsung online help desk who stepped me through Picture Quality tests and reset. No luck in removing the shadow. I was instructed to call the Service Centre during… Read more

business hours. I called the following Monday and ran through the same picture test and reset. Screen was still showing a shadow and now I noticed that a pixel was broken. I requested a return and replacement TV. I was told that the issue would be expedited and a replacement sent within 24 hrs. The faulty TV was picked up yesterday (5 Aug) and the logistics company is telling me that the return will only be process on the 7th or 10th of August! I have placed multiple calls to Samsung Service desk (most recently yesterday) who said that they’d expedite my case given I’ve had such a bad experience. If this TV worked, I’ve give a rating of 5/5... however the fact that it was faulty straight out of the box and slow customer service means that this has been a very poor experience. Rated 1/5. Update 10/8 - was open to Samsung remediation however no one has contacted me, therefore uploading this review.

Amazing quality! Minor issues – Had my Q70T for about 4 months, and it was off to a rocky start. Very bad app support... No Stan, no Foxtel, and a few others, BUT within a month, they were all there, ready to download. Picture is amazing! Sharp as a tack! Genuine 4K content is hard to come by. "Oh, but if you have Netflix premium, you can get 4K movies, etc." Sure, but… Read more ·  3

truthfully, the 4K content from Netflix seems less than perfect. When you access the demo mode (you know, the ones they use in the stores), the picture is astounding! The sound is good, but not great. An older model (Q7F) had higher powered speakers, but I think the Q70T is designed to be paired with a SoundBar - which I also have, but I'll review that separately. The menu system could be better, I mean it stutters a bit when you scroll through it, mostly just after you turn it on. When pairing with the Smartthings app, you can operate via your phone very easily. You can even operate it via Google Home (and I'm assuming Amazon Alexa) including ON and OFF, channel change, input change, and volume change - note that turning the TV ON with Google Home is temperamental (a Samsung help page says that it will only work if the TV is connected via Wifi, but I don't see a difference), and the Volume control with Google Home doesn't work if you have a sound bar connected which is not Smartthings compatible. There's a cable minder in the base which is cool cause you can run all the cables through making them invisible when you're sitting in front of it. Very easy to cast your phone of computer to the screen wirelessly, although there is a small bug which shows a message down the bottom which wont go away "Multi View: To return to the previous screen, press and hold [back] button". When you case your computer screen to the TV, it comes up with the multiview screens showing both your TV and the computer. In order to view JUST your computer screen on the TV, you select the computer screen and hit OK (the middle button on the remote), when then brings up the computer screen on the TV, BUT as I said, the multiview message I stated above - DOESN'T GO AWAY, and there is nothing you can do to get rid of it. There's a pic attached to show this. It's a small thing, but annoying. I'm contacted Samsung about this, but they were little help. It took ages just to get them to realise what I was talking about, then they said it would be sent to the tech team to go into a firmware update. This was months ago, and nothing.

Anyway - A great TV, happy with the purchase. Slight issues, but no show stoppers.

Good quality TV but Samsung app store isn't great – I bought a Q70 65" around Christmas 2019 from the Good Guys. It's a good quality TV and the screen is great but the app store doesn't have many apps and other features are available only to other Samsung devices which I don't have. Show details ·  1
