A 2.7 star TV – Picture quality has been good, the sound quality has been terrible, I have always wondered if this was to make people spend another $400 on a sound bar? I really like the box with the hdmi ports on it but wish it had a speaker jack on it as it is very difficult to use the jacks behind the tv when it is wall mounted. The most annoying thing… Read more
about this TV is the channel guide. I'm very disappointed I spent $3000 on a TV that has such a unless channel guide. It is so slow to refresh and sometimes just jams up. I won't buy another Samsung TV.
Great tv – Great tv. Crystal clear picture with many connectivity features. External USB/HDMI box is a great idea from practical sense when your tv sits on a cupboard, but not so good when it's on the wall. Sometimes having problems with the HDMI connections, where they need to be reset every couple of months for some devices. Great AC / N wifi range. Overall pretty happy with the tv. Show details
Overpriced and didnt last – Tv overheated in a few weeks. Pixels started going then got big lines down the screen. Had tv replaced under warrenty and the replacement did the same in 6 months. Speakers sounded tinny and remote was tempremental. Smart functions worked ok maybe a bit laggy. Frame rate was abit low and made footy look like a video game Show details
Great 4K smart tv viewing – Excellent picture quality speakers are a little lacking but we have hdmi connection to a Yamaha sound system which resolves the problem particularly for watching movies and music videos. The separate connection dock is a great idea and allows cables to be easier to conceal. Love the smart tv just some of the apps are lacking as compared to watching on tablet eg Netflix. Would purchase Samsung TV again Show details
Decent video - terrible interface and connectivity – The video quality is fantastic, though that is not the only relevant factor. The user interface is INCREDIBLY slow, the channel guide does not update and is virtually unusable, the menu is slow and the "smart hub" is painful. Further, the inbuilt apps are not 4K res, nor are they even 1080P! They're closer to 576 than even 720. Very disappointing.… Read more
Another issue is that the one connect box cable is proprietary and not very long. Therefore I can't run the box through the wall cavity for my components to plug into. Instead I have to run HDMI cables up the cavity to the box, defeating any perceived benefit in the system.
My old Sony LCD performed far better and was 3 years older. Will not purchase another Samsung in future.
Perfect – Great TV, amazing viewing, light on weight, Very stylish and it does everything you need and want. Amazing picture and sound quality is fantastic, the picture is brilliant you can see everything so clearly with amazing colours and the remote and functionality is easy . Black surround and very modern but contemporary looking. Show details
Still discovering how great this is! – Picture quality on aerial and HD stations is superb but those who don't broadcast in HD is average. We augmented the sound with a Samsung sound bar for our own personal taste. We are happy with the access to usb pod and the fact that we can add to it in the future. The understated remote control is a challenge at first but is a great asset once mastered. Love this in our lounge. Show details

Rubbish! – SAMSUNG PROBLEM REF: 8214453174 I have called Samsung Premium service 4 times in as many weeks to advise the tv continues to turn itself off. The first call fixed it for a week... The second call resulted in a USB Flash upgrade being sent out... Which Never arrived. The third contact was to ask for my money back... No more troubleshooting. I was… Read more
advised a manager would call me back in 24-48 hours to arrange for a refund. Now 3 days later and I got a phone call from a Melbourne call centre to survey my customer experience ( I asked whether he could help resolve my to issue he advised "no" I'm just surveying your customer service experience) I'm done Samsung. I want my money back and the next complaint is to the Communications Industry Ombudsman. I would not recommend anyone buy this product.
Excellent – Of course I feel for those who have bought a lemon. That happens, as it has to me before with a Samsung TV and other brands as well in all sorts of products for that matter. But having had this for a month now - so far so good. Dig into the menu (google David Katzmaier for some calibrating tips) to get the best from it. Picture is fantastic… Read more
after a few adjustments. If you have a bluray player that upscales make sure the setting on the player is adjusted to 4K upscaling. Also make sure you have the TV's HDMI UHD Color set to "On" on any of the HDMI inputs you are using, this will give better colour and reduce banding and screen shading problems.
If you like sport or fast moving objects - FORGET IT – Purchased approx 1 month ago. Not really happy with it. During sport the ball drags across the screen and it lacks smothness when displaying fast moving objects or people across the screen. Says its 200hz, which I reckon is more like 50hz. My old 34cm tv in the garage appears to have better motion display. Poor quality tv for the price you pay
Hate it! – Here's my set up- TV- UA55JU7000WXXY Sound Bar- HW-H751/XY 2 Speakers- WAM-350/XY Hub- WAM250/XY I'm onto my second TV so far. The first one wouldn't connect to surround sound. After spending 3 hours on the phone with some useless Samsung tech moron who tried every conceivable trick to get it working but still wouldn't admit there was a… Read more
fault & then suddenly ended our conversation I called Harvey Norman & they replaced it the next day. Happy with that.
The second TV connects to surround sound most of the time. When it all works it's awesome. Great picture & sound for a budget system. Getting it all to work can be so frustrating that the TV has nearly ended up on the front lawn on numerous occasions. Many times the only way to connect all the surround sound is to use the phone app because the TV menu controls just won't work. But then half of the time the TV doesn't show up on the app. The menu on the TV is very slow especially when you just turn the TV on. Sometimes it takes about 20 seconds before I'm able to change the source input.
After this experience I would definitely leave Samsung at the bottom of my list when shopping for a new TV or sound system.
Very impressive TV – After 8 yrs my old Plasma has given way to this great sized, great picture Samsung. The screen is impressive in day and night, and having 2 different remotes is great. One is more traditional with the number pad, while the other is smaller and more like a Wii controller with a touch pad. The samsung store is good but not great, although youtube,… Read more · 1
web browser and Netflix work fine. For some reason the ABC iView app does not work as well.
While 4K is still probably overdoing it compared with what is prodcued, the picture qulity is superb.
The double picture option is awesome - I had the cricket and the tennis up side by side, with just a flick left or right to move the sound to the preferred screen.

Stirling attempt at building a quality TV but clearly fails in many regards – As with all my reviews, I try to present a balanced view of the product or service. I brought this TV as a replacement to my Sony. At first appearance, the surrounding design was poor. It lacked the build quality and design that you'd assume you'd get with a TV of $2000+. However, it was the best at the time I thought. When I got the TV… Read more
home I was gutted to see that rather than have a component section at the back of the TV, you had to connect a box that had all of the connections. This was an unnecessary, annoying feature. It was aesthetically poor.
I found the TV stand flimsy yet it held the TV in place.
The functionality of it appeared good, the range of apps were appealing and the general picture quality was sound.
However, soon after buying the TV I noticed that the TV or the stand was on a slant. I spoke to Samsung that said it was a design fault, that there were many TV's affected.
I called Samsung to get a replacement. Their customer service was really quite poor. The problem here appears to be they outsourced much of it to a third party and with any such service, you loose quality. Its not seamless and their heart just wasn't into the job.
The repair person that came out was however excellent. He measured the fault and could see it was leaning.
He returned on a Saturday with a new stand, but the same fault was clearly there. Was it the TV or the Stand? I don't know. I was told that it was a cosmetic issue and Samsung would be unlikely to do anything further about it.
I have decided to return the TV in favour of a Sony TV. Yes, I have paid a lot more, but I would sooner go with a brand who I have had no problems with in the past.
Best features:
I'm really genuinely not sure.
Bad features:
Flimsy design
Poor customer service
Poor customer support
Dubious external output module
Think twice before buying this – One of the reasons we bought a Smart TV was so we could watch ABC iView and SBS On Demand without the need for peripheral .devices. We specifically explained this to the salesperson at JB Hi Fi, and were ensured that all was well. It's not. Despite having an unlimited digital download account from our ISP, and excellent coverage, the amount of… Read more
iView and On Demand you can watch is metered, and we ran through our allocation in less than two weeks. We went to the ABC website to find that this is a common problem with Samsung, and that whilst they are working on a fix, they have no idea when it will be OK.
Before I found this out from the ABC I had spoken to both Samsung and JB Hi Fi, who all swore that they'd never heard of this problem. This is clearly disingenuous as once you find the right forums this appears to be a very common problem. We feel very ripped off by both Samsung and JB Hi Fi.
There are also a range of other minor issues. Periodically the TV goes to a screen saver mode in the middle of a show. Recently we had the screen keep changing to the Smart Hub interface, despite the fact that we weren't touching the remote.
