Excellent product and excellent service – Terrfific operating system and easy operating system. Applications are easy to install, apps installed work well. Great performance and terrific features. Plenty of HDMI ports. Manual is included in features. Voice command works well. Overall an excellent product.
Purchased in at The Good Guys.
Terrible failure of products and company – Do not buy Samsung TV's. 1. 55inch FHD series 8 tv about 4 years ago. 4 years and the panel has died. 2. Last year, bought 55inch UHD series 8. After three months we notice something Like an insect embedded in the screen. they refuse to cover it. They will not honour their warranty or care about customers after they have your money.

Great TV – This model was a replacement for a 65" Plasma and my first LED LCD TV. To say I was impressed with this TV would be an understatement. Having played around with the settings I now have a TV with a suburb lifelike picture with no hint of the so called Soap Opera effect. Sound quality is OK but much better through a sound system. The menu system is very easy to navigate and the two remote controls supplied work well.
Great Picture; horrible software – Have to agree that the picture quality was only surpassed by the more expensive (and smaller) OLED TV. We chose on picture quality only, and were not too miffed about any "Smart" features. It would get 5 stars on picture alone, but needs to be knocked back for its awful software. Problem now is these TVs are so loaded with features and options they've become unusable. I struggled with the TV constantly switching back to the HDMI port my media centre was using, even when I selected another. I phoned Samsung and the support guy was useless (told me to factory reset, and when that didn't work, told me it was faulty). I found out later it was due to their "AnyNet+" feature (HDMI-CEC) which required me to bring down a submenu from the input selector, and select the "AnyNet+" device I wanted to use. Switched off that "feature" and all worked well.
I saved Samsung an unnecessary return. With such poorly written, unintuitive software running this device, it may be better if they stick to just making Giant Computer Monitors with a range of HDMI inputs and let us connect devices that meet our needs.
Did not bother with the "Smart" features: Forced advertising; applications you cannot delete; spying on your use with no opt out; and a world of hurt "disabling" applications, setting up parental controls on their browser, ugh. No thanks.
Great picture, unusable TV guide and flaky interface – When shopping for TV's the main comparison is on the picture quality. The 165cm SUHD TV had a fantastic picture quality second only to the OLED TV's. What you do not see is the user interface. This TV has the worst TV guide I have used ever. When scrolling up or down the list it will freeze for up to 30 seconds. In general the OS is unstable, frequently dropping off the WIFI and requiring a turn off at the switch. Waited for 3 months in the hope Samsung would send out an update to fix these issues. No joy.
Considering the price this is not a quality product it is let down badly by the operating system. If your thinking about a new Samsung TV beware!
2 months on and the tv just keeps getting worse. The screen saver turns on randomly while watching movies. It started playing the sound to a different channel mid tv show and had to be restarted. It's not unusual for it to lose internet connectivity while streaming a movie and need to be restarted.
Update:
Under 3 years and that great picture quality is now lousy there is significant back light glow around all edges of the TV. This is garbage.Wost TV ever owned.
Do Not Buy Samsung!
