The experience that we have had with this TV has been distressing and in breach of consumer laws. Samsung do not care: our frame tv stopped working after 3 hours. We trusted their repair process. Over one month later and Two visits from a technician we are told we have to wait more weeks for another visit and attempted repair. We have paid so much… Read more

money for a product that does not work and has not been able to be repaired over multiple visits. This is a major repair issue that according to Australian consumer law, we are entitled to a refund. Not Accor ing to Samsung’s outsourced overseas call centre. I am beyond appalled. Buyer beware.

Samsung have ruined what used to be a good TV – We have purchased a couple of Samsung Frame TV's previously and loved them so when we needed a new TV went straight for another Frame. Unfortunately we couldn't be more dissappointed with this latest model - it is awful and would not recommend. The picture quality is OK but they have completely destroyed the user iterface and made it very… Read more

unusable. Samsung have configured it so everything is aimed at their bloatware apps and aimed to make it as difficult as possible to do anything else such as wanting to just watch Live TV. They've also removed the option to connect to external devices via an IP address and continually experience problems with Bluetooth connections. I have tried to contact their support but with the useless 'bots' you can't get an answer for anything outside of their cookie cutter FAQs.

Samsung.. The worst tv brand to deal with!!! – Stay away form the samsuhng brand.. But sony or lg instead. Their customer service/tec cupport/case managers will make every attempt to refuse any warranty claims after failing to fix the tv 4 times. Advising a fake software update will fix the issue. Ongoing issue for the past 8 weeks. Incompetent customer service who would even lie as authorised… Read more

repair centre clearly said that the tv cannot be repaired. Most of their models for the past two years have been affected already. Now been 6 days and the case manager simon is not evern responding. Only buy samsung products if you want the worst customer service.

OK picture and sound but it leaves a lot to be desired – Picture is good but the Operating System and remote let it down. 1) I knew we would not use the 'Art' feature but decided to buy this as a Qled TV. it is not possible to disable Art mode. To switch off is not simply a case of pressing the button. You need to hold it until a white box appears. If anything Art mode should require to long button… Read more

press. 2) I moved across from another S brand, which has an excellent image rendering engine while Samsung is good, IMO the other brand has the edge. 3) For me, the OS is not what it could be. 4) The remote is a nightmare to use. The designers seemed to find it a minimalism challenge. With minimalism comes complexity and this remote has that in spade-fulls. Some sections of menu it brings up, I have not yet worked out how to access A huge remote full of numbers and coloured buttons is not visually appealing but it is far simpler. On the positive side, the remote battery is rechargeable and even has a panel for 'solar' charging. Despite the minimalistic design, the remote still has dedicated buttons for Netflix, Prime, Disney and Samsung TV plus. Most users would not use all of these. User programmable buttons in their place would be a significant improvement. Oh good! After two days of trying, I worked out how to turn on English sub-titles. Don't ask for steps but it starts with the button that has an image of a flower '123' and four coloured dots! I was unable to make my Bose universal remote match the set. 5) Configuration is a nightmare. Page after page asking you to agree to this that and the other. Samsung are overwhelming buyers with BS. Not even a QC could possibly read and understand all of that! Then it snuck in 'find my device' for my phone. If I want 'find my device' off on my phone, I don't want nags from other devices. 6) There is a proliferation of Apps, most of which I would never use. If there is something that filters by country (e.g. to get Aussie TV apps) I cannot find it. You need to use a search function. Repeatedly to get the lot! While you can move apps, a program advertising app cannot be deleted or moved. 7) I had to search the web to find out how to remove the unwanted FTA channels from the guide. Once found, removal became a case of check the ones you don't want to who in the guide and delete. Also included are a not of extras, which are essentially endless repeats of programs some people enjoy. Not me! 8) I had trouble thinking Bluetooth was not connecting to my laptop until I worked out there was nothing to indicate success. I only needed to duplicate to an extended display from my laptop. 9) The external control box is a nuisance after my previous wall mounted TV. I had antenna and power sockets placed on the wall at a height they would be hidden. Now I have a box, ugly cables need to run to it. 10) The largest document that comes with the set relates to the wall mount. While that looks like it would be relatively simple to set up, Samsung seem to complicate instruction. I used my existing full motion bracket. The TV attached easily using Samsung's included screws. Unfortunately, mounting holes on the Samsung are higher than my previous TV, so the set sits too low on the wall despite using frame holes at the best location for height. More holes, filling and painting required! 11) There are no visible problems with the build, but I am yet to remove plastic protecting film from the frame.

Compared to other low mid level sets, it is good value but, it is not a TV I could recommend for someone who is challenged by technological complexity. It is far from easy to use and can be very frustrating while learning. You need to be paying far less than RRP to consider this good value.

Kind of annoying – Replacing a Sony Bravia that was much better looking and easier to use, the Samsung was purchased because everyone I spoke to recommended the brand. The remote is somewhat something to get used to and not as simple as the Sony as Samsung has gone down that “minimal” route on the remote that is simply frustrating with next to no information on what… Read more

button does what extra function. (E.g. Mute on some button as I found out when I sat on the remote) The picture quality is as good as I would expect but navigating around normal free to air TV stations is a bit of a mission. Samsung TV plus seems to be a default and it’s just plain stupid. I don’t want to have to sort through 20-30 year old American garbage and why does a pre programmed, pre recorded Tv show need frequent breaks? Navigating through normal free to air channels is a tedious process as you just can’t press 9 for example and end up on Ch 9 and numerical buttons on the remote are non existent. You have to cycle through the complete Chanel list to get to the desired station. I obviously didn’t do my due diligence before I purchased this and refer to the product reviews. If I’d kept the box I’d send it back and spend twice as much on a less annoying tv with less gimmicky crap.

Defective antenna ports on One Connect Box – I love my Samsung Frame but the One Connect boxes, made in Vietnam, have a terribly designed antenna port. While the rest of the ports on the One Connect box are recessed into the case, the antenna port sticks out and is connected to the main board by very weak metal. All I had to do for it to break is unplug the antenna cable when I went to move… Read more

the One Connect box to a better location. The TV was only 6 months old and still under warranty so I contacted Samsung who sent out two technicians. They determined that the antenna port broke due to ‘customer induced damage’ and are refusing to repair it under warranty, instead offering to fix it for approximately $350. Despite me arguing with both the technicians and the follow-up Case Manager, Samsung still refuse to acknowledge their responsibility under the Australian Consumer Law, even though the technicians admitted that the antenna ports are very weak. I did some online searching and it turns out that I am not the only person who has had this problem. Check out this forum on the Samsung Community website: https://r1.community.samsung.com/t5/tv-audio/antenna-socket-broken/td-p/13489540

I shall be exercising my rights under the ACL via NSW Fair Trading but for everyone else, either take extreme care with the antenna port or just avoid Samsung TV’s altogether.

Beautiful picture – Love how flat it is on the wall, I don’t use it much for the art but just the flatness is great. Good picture. Smart TV, easy to connect chrome cast. Wish there was a way to change Home Screen a bit more to be easier to navigate. You get used to it though I suppose. Like the anti glare in my lounge-room with lots of windows. That’s definitely a pro. Show details ·  1

Beauty with some flaws – This is our second Samsung Frame TV purchase. In 2021, we purchased the 50" for our smaller living area and wall-hung it. The paid art subscription gives you access to some beautiful art, and with the TV framed on the wall, it does look beautiful. Despite the fact the panel failed on our TV after just a year on our previous TV, we were so happy… Read more

with how Samsung arranged for repair, we used the discount voucher they gave us for the Samsung store and EOFY sale they had to buy another.

We went for the 65" 2022 model this time to put on the wall in our bedroom.

It took us a while to get used to the new menu after using the 2021 version for so long. Unlike the 2021 model, the menu is now vertically on the left-hand side. The colour reproduction on this TV is beautiful, and the artworks look like they're hanging on your wall. It's a beautiful concept.

Improving upon 2021, Samsung addressed one of the biggest issues that plagued the older models: the terrible glare. The 2021 model has a serious glare problem; from what I can see, the 2022 model they have fixed it.

However, there are some flaws.

There is noticeable lag when navigating through the menus and apps on this TV. If you press left or right too fast to scroll, you can see it lag quite badly. You would expect a snappy, almost instantaneous response through the menus for a TV that costs this much. The 2021 model also suffered from the same lag, but we just got used to it. Maybe it's the larger panel, but the latency feels slightly worse on the 2022 model.

I can tell that while Samsung has tried to improve the audio, for such an expensive TV, the audio is still disappointing. Fortunately, we have a Samsung soundbar (which isn't cheap) that does a good job, but I would expect a TV at this price point to have marginally better sound. If you buy this TV and care about audio, get a soundbar or system because the sub-par TV audio will drive you insane.

And, as you will see others point out: the advertisements. There are ads in the menus and home screen. It's quite disappointing that Samsung felt the need to shove ads into a TV that costs this much money. It makes it seem like Samsung is double-dipping here. Worse, you can't disable the ads or opt-out. It would be such a simple software fix to remove the ads.
