The experience that we have had with this TV has been distressing and in breach of consumer laws. Samsung do not care: our frame tv stopped working after 3 hours. We trusted their repair process. Over one month later and Two visits from a technician we are told we have to wait more weeks for another visit and attempted repair. We have paid so much… Read more
money for a product that does not work and has not been able to be repaired over multiple visits. This is a major repair issue that according to Australian consumer law, we are entitled to a refund. Not Accor ing to Samsung’s outsourced overseas call centre. I am beyond appalled. Buyer beware.
we bought because of way tv fixed as a picture. That aspect has remained its major advantage with a non reflective screen. we do not use a antnna and rely entirely on high speed wireless mesh internet . we have common breaks when using freeview for live tv and infrequent breaks on others like prime neon disney etc. initially they changed the… Read more
processing box but no change.Samsung was less than helpful. After a number of complaints the retailer sent their top guy out who switched off all the signal processing and it has occassional spin of the blue wheel now( aka wheel of death) we paid serious money for this mid 2023 and we have had panasonic and LG IN THE PAST. I understand that the processors made be older and not designed for digital signal processing.

Samsung have ruined what used to be a good TV – We have purchased a couple of Samsung Frame TV's previously and loved them so when we needed a new TV went straight for another Frame. Unfortunately we couldn't be more dissappointed with this latest model - it is awful and would not recommend. The picture quality is OK but they have completely destroyed the user iterface and made it very… Read more
unusable. Samsung have configured it so everything is aimed at their bloatware apps and aimed to make it as difficult as possible to do anything else such as wanting to just watch Live TV. They've also removed the option to connect to external devices via an IP address and continually experience problems with Bluetooth connections. I have tried to contact their support but with the useless 'bots' you can't get an answer for anything outside of their cookie cutter FAQs.

Stunning quality, worth buying! – This 75" TV exceeded all my expectations! The picture quality is stunning, with vibrant colours and deep blacks that make every scene look lifelike. With high resolution truly shines, especially when watching movies and sports. The smart features are user-friendly and responsive, with a wide range of streaming apps available. The sound is clear, but I paired it with a soundbar for an even better experience. Show reply
Poor tv, worse experience with Samsung Customer Service – Don't waste your money! I bought a Samsung 55' Frame TV, backlight has failed, it flickers and causes headaches and nausea! I have tried to have this resolved by Samsung for weeks, they say there is nothing wrong with the TV. I have lodged complaints with the ACCC and NSW Fair Trading. Show details

Samsung.. The worst tv brand to deal with!!! – Stay away form the samsuhng brand.. But sony or lg instead. OK picture and sound but it leaves a lot to be desired – Picture is good but the Operating System and remote let it down. 1) I knew we would not use the 'Art' feature but decided to buy this as a Qled TV. it is not possible to disable Art mode. To switch off is not simply a case of pressing the button. You need to hold it until a white box appears. If anything Art mode should require to long button… Read more
press. 2) I moved across from another S brand, which has an excellent image rendering engine while Samsung is good, IMO the other brand has the edge. 3) For me, the OS is not what it could be. 4) The remote is a nightmare to use. The designers seemed to find it a minimalism challenge. With minimalism comes complexity and this remote has that in spade-fulls. Some sections of menu it brings up, I have not yet worked out how to access A huge remote full of numbers and coloured buttons is not visually appealing but it is far simpler. On the positive side, the remote battery is rechargeable and even has a panel for 'solar' charging. Despite the minimalistic design, the remote still has dedicated buttons for Netflix, Prime, Disney and Samsung TV plus. Most users would not use all of these. User programmable buttons in their place would be a significant improvement. Oh good! After two days of trying, I worked out how to turn on English sub-titles. Don't ask for steps but it starts with the button that has an image of a flower '123' and four coloured dots! I was unable to make my Bose universal remote match the set. 5) Configuration is a nightmare. Page after page asking you to agree to this that and the other. Samsung are overwhelming buyers with BS. Not even a QC could possibly read and understand all of that! Then it snuck in 'find my device' for my phone. If I want 'find my device' off on my phone, I don't want nags from other devices. 6) There is a proliferation of Apps, most of which I would never use. If there is something that filters by country (e.g. to get Aussie TV apps) I cannot find it. You need to use a search function. Repeatedly to get the lot! While you can move apps, a program advertising app cannot be deleted or moved. 7) I had to search the web to find out how to remove the unwanted FTA channels from the guide. Once found, removal became a case of check the ones you don't want to who in the guide and delete. Also included are a not of extras, which are essentially endless repeats of programs some people enjoy. Not me! 8) I had trouble thinking Bluetooth was not connecting to my laptop until I worked out there was nothing to indicate success. I only needed to duplicate to an extended display from my laptop. 9) The external control box is a nuisance after my previous wall mounted TV. I had antenna and power sockets placed on the wall at a height they would be hidden. Now I have a box, ugly cables need to run to it. 10) The largest document that comes with the set relates to the wall mount. While that looks like it would be relatively simple to set up, Samsung seem to complicate instruction. I used my existing full motion bracket. The TV attached easily using Samsung's included screws. Unfortunately, mounting holes on the Samsung are higher than my previous TV, so the set sits too low on the wall despite using frame holes at the best location for height. More holes, filling and painting required! 11) There are no visible problems with the build, but I am yet to remove plastic protecting film from the frame.
Compared to other low mid level sets, it is good value but, it is not a TV I could recommend for someone who is challenged by technological complexity. It is far from easy to use and can be very frustrating while learning. You need to be paying far less than RRP to consider this good value.

Good tv ruined by a poor menu – I have two Frame tv’s. the first is from 2017 and has an easy to use menu with a good selection of art to display. This model tries to upsell the art. No I don’t want to pay for an another useless subscription. The menu is no way near as intuitive as the older model and leaves me frustrated trying to do a simple task. Please Samsung. and it has the ability to turn your tv into a work of art as you can either use the free artworks or pay to access hundreds of different artworks. It can even be rotated from landscape to portrait. It is a thing of beauty and after seeing ours, at least two friends have purchased it. As a television it has a very clear screen, and access to all the streaming aps you could want. It is officially one of our favourite purchases in our new apartment.
My goodness the software is sloooooooow – The picture and sound is fine. Although i had to turn off the adaptive sound stuff because it was very strange. My main issue with this tv is that the software is so slow. Its maddening, takes way to long to be responsive after turning on (volume/chanel etc). The sony software is really way better. Kind of annoying – Replacing a Sony Bravia that was much better looking and easier to use, the Samsung was purchased because everyone I spoke to recommended the brand. button does what extra function. (E.g. Mute on some button as I found out when I sat on the remote) The picture quality is as good as I would expect but navigating around normal free to air TV stations is a bit of a mission. Samsung TV plus seems to be a default and it’s just plain stupid. I don’t want to have to sort through 20-30 year old American garbage and why does a pre programmed, pre recorded Tv show need frequent breaks? Navigating through normal free to air channels is a tedious process as you just can’t press 9 for example and end up on Ch 9 and numerical buttons on the remote are non existent. You have to cycle through the complete Chanel list to get to the desired station. I obviously didn’t do my due diligence before I purchased this and refer to the product reviews. If I’d kept the box I’d send it back and spend twice as much on a less annoying tv with less gimmicky crap.

another Frame tv. With the new TV the picture on the screen does not stay on, it comes on at certain times and then goes off, we contacted customer service and my husband spent a whole weekend with phone calls back and forth and was told to do a software update which we did but it didn’t do anything. We have had a technician out who ordered a new sensor, we have now had it installed and it hasn’t changed anything. We have also again spoken to customer service and changed some settings as instructed but that hasn’t helped. It has been over a month and still no resolution, contact with Samsung this week sees them wanting a technician to come out again but they don’t understand the workings of the tv, the technician was asking my husband questions as to how it works. We are getting no where, we feel the tv is faulty and can’t get anywhere with any help. The customer service is frustrating and as a customer with a lot of other Samsung appliances we are not happy right now.

Know better, choose better.
Defective product and disgusting behaviour, will NEVER buy another Samsung! – I made the mistake of purchasing a 75in frame TV from Samsung, and it turned out to be an absolute nightmare. As soon as I unboxed the TV, I was greeted with a hideous display of white spots all over the screen whenever the background was dark. I promptly reached out to Samsung's so-called customer service, only to be subjected to a mind-numbing… Read more
hour of self-diagnosis, which achieved absolutely nothing.
After wasting my precious time, they finally sent two technicians, who must have been blind themselves. These incompetent fools had the audacity to claim that the white spots were 'not a manufacturing fault.' Are you kidding me? Unless my entire family suddenly became blind and stupid, it's crystal clear that the white spots are a glaring defect.
By dismissing it as not their fault, Samsung is essentially admitting that this TV is intentionally built to have white spots, as if that's some normal feature. If that's the case, why didn't they inform their customers before selling this garbage? What kind of pathetic excuse for a company turns a blind eye to their customers and denies them the basic right to return a clearly defective product?
Samsung, if this is the way you choose to treat your Australian customers, let me make one thing clear: you are an absolute disgrace. You don't deserve to sell anything in this country. Your entire existence is a sick joke, and you should be utterly ashamed of yourselves.
Excellent Picture but smart features are dumb – The picture quality is great and the sound is much better than most TVs I’ve sat in front of. But there are some annoying things about this TV. - Art mode charging like $25 for a picture is scammy. I managed to get my own pictures on there, but it’s annoyingly complicated to do. - Smart features are dumb.. the voice assistant basically doesn’t… Read more
work for anything useful. - Samsung junk apps are annoying and get in the way. The apps I really used on Google TV are there, but don’t work. - motion sensing, brightness, etc- it doesn’t seem to work.. my TV just turns on randomly if it’s set to “save power”.
—- Edit.. 12 months later and the app updated and I can no longer change artwork anymore. It looks like either a mistake or a deliberate attempt to force users to pay ludicrous prices to change pictures using the Samsung offerings on the TV. This means I can’t have personal photos on the TV anymore .

If there was 0 stars I would offer this. 1 star is too generous – Unfortunately an excited purchase around xmas directly from Samsung’s online store has resulted in months of headache. After buying no less than 3 Samsung TVs over the last 18 mths it is evident this one in particular is a total waste of money!
I called Samsung ‘support’ around 15 times with promises of a call back. This never eventuated. Finally on one phone call Samsung agreed to send a 3rd party technician who was very helpful. They confirmed the poor image in person, and would ensure a fault report was issued to Samsung along with my refund request.
I would have thought a large ‘ethical’ business such as Samsung would abide by Australian consumer law. Instead Samsung requested further access to my house via their technicians. Mind you it was initially suggested in another customer initiated phone call to ‘support’ they would be arranging a collection. How wrong was I! The technicians came back saying Samsung wanted them to try more ‘settings’. I accommodated and it made the tv darker and the picture is so bad the tv is unusable. The technicians suggested I buy an LG due to customer support being so appalling at Samsung!
After numerous other calls to Samsung, a ‘case manager’ was assigned. (Australian based this time). Eventually when they did call they suggested to me that the product they sold all of a sudden meets manufacturers specifications and I am not entitled to a remedy. As far as I understand this person has breached Australian consumer law because I have a worthless tv that wouldn’t even serve well as a boat anchor!
Samsung I have clearly stated your response is not satisfactory. I believe your outright refusal to provide a remedy is in breach of Australian consumer law. I have been firm in my request for a refund and I will not accept anything less. You demonstrate a poor regard for the Australian consumer. Needless to say I won’t ever purchase another Samsung product. I can safely say this is the worst consumer product I have encountered in my life!!! Buyer beware
Not good for Kayo app – UPDATE July 2024 Kayo now broadcasts some sport such as AFL in 4k. The quality is exceptional when the broadcast is in 4k. First Review: I purchased the tv a week ago and there are some good things. Watching movies on Disney is great. Art mode is cool. The way the TV mounts to the wall is very clever. However watching sport is terrible. Kayo don’t broadcast in 4k and as a result, the picture quality is poor. It is very blurry when the image pans out, and almost unwatchable. I wouldn’t recommend this TV if using it for sport.

Defective antenna ports on One Connect Box – I love my Samsung Frame but the One Connect boxes, made in Vietnam, have a terribly designed antenna port. the One Connect box to a better location. The TV was only 6 months old and still under warranty so I contacted Samsung who sent out two technicians. They determined that the antenna port broke due to ‘customer induced damage’ and are refusing to repair it under warranty, instead offering to fix it for approximately $350. Despite me arguing with both the technicians and the follow-up Case Manager, Samsung still refuse to acknowledge their responsibility under the Australian Consumer Law, even though the technicians admitted that the antenna ports are very weak. I did some online searching and it turns out that I am not the only person who has had this problem. Check out this forum on the Samsung Community website: https://r1.community.samsung.com/t5/tv-audio/antenna-socket-broken/td-p/13489540
I shall be exercising my rights under the ACL via NSW Fair Trading but for everyone else, either take extreme care with the antenna port or just avoid Samsung TV’s altogether.

Edit - 1 It gets worse, I know can't use my actual samsung TV remote without this stupid Frame TV turning on or off and switching to netfix. WTH ? Are you serious Samsung? Had to cover Frame TV remote sensor with electrical tape to stop this happening. The all in one AV and power cord was only 2 mtrs long, OMG ! Edit - 2 The picture quality is only bad in ArtMode, ArtMode uses 20w of power consumption which is extremely low ( Same as 2 LED downlights ), this affects the refresh rate which is also very low. Beauty with some flaws – This is our second Samsung Frame TV purchase. In 2021, we purchased the 50" for our smaller living area and wall-hung it. The paid art subscription gives you access to some beautiful art, and with the TV framed on the wall, it does look beautiful. Despite the fact the panel failed on our TV after just a year on our previous TV, we were so happy… Read more
with how Samsung arranged for repair, we used the discount voucher they gave us for the Samsung store and EOFY sale they had to buy another.
We went for the 65" 2022 model this time to put on the wall in our bedroom.
It took us a while to get used to the new menu after using the 2021 version for so long. Unlike the 2021 model, the menu is now vertically on the left-hand side. The colour reproduction on this TV is beautiful, and the artworks look like they're hanging on your wall. It's a beautiful concept.
Improving upon 2021, Samsung addressed one of the biggest issues that plagued the older models: the terrible glare. The 2021 model has a serious glare problem; from what I can see, the 2022 model they have fixed it.
However, there are some flaws.
There is noticeable lag when navigating through the menus and apps on this TV. If you press left or right too fast to scroll, you can see it lag quite badly. You would expect a snappy, almost instantaneous response through the menus for a TV that costs this much. The 2021 model also suffered from the same lag, but we just got used to it. Maybe it's the larger panel, but the latency feels slightly worse on the 2022 model.
I can tell that while Samsung has tried to improve the audio, for such an expensive TV, the audio is still disappointing. Fortunately, we have a Samsung soundbar (which isn't cheap) that does a good job, but I would expect a TV at this price point to have marginally better sound. If you buy this TV and care about audio, get a soundbar or system because the sub-par TV audio will drive you insane.
And, as you will see others point out: the advertisements. There are ads in the menus and home screen. It's quite disappointing that Samsung felt the need to shove ads into a TV that costs this much money. It makes it seem like Samsung is double-dipping here. Worse, you can't disable the ads or opt-out. It would be such a simple software fix to remove the ads.
Awful Light Leaks around the screen – The 85" screen is exhibiting very strong light leaks on both sides of the screen - primarily on the upper and lower corners on the left side of the screen and also on the lower corner on the right. The leaks are very strong for about 15-20 cm and then the light fades back to the black screen. I have spoken to the Samsung Care team and I have… Read more

Let this be a lesson to anyone considering buying this TV - stay away from this TV! It is a lemon!
Tv menus are full of ads – The tv has very intrusive ads that take up 1/3 of the screen when using the tv menus. For those interested - I have contacted Samsung directly about this issue and you cannot turn these ads off.

The TV is great… mostly.
However, you will quickly become frustrated that the majority of the home screen is taken up with advertising… yes, on that TV you just spent $5000+ you have big ads on the Home Screen that you CAN NOT remove unless you disconnect the TV from the internet. Effectively making your expensive smart TV Dumb!
You’ll also become frustrated if you use any kind of connected device, the software running the TV does not readily make it easy for you to get back to what you were watching when that content is on something like an AppleTV.
And finally, while the TV is incredibly thin, it does mean all the smarts and connections have to go somewhere, and that place is a big black box that you have to find somewhere to hide.
I was really prompted to right this review about the ads though… they are intrusive and unacceptable on any TV, let alone one that would be considered a premium device.
