I Hate Housework But I Love This Machine!
When Hurricane Irene dumped 4 1/2 feet of water in our basement last year, we had to replace our Kenmore front-loader. That one was okay but this machine I love. So many cycles, enough room for a load of towels and sheets, clothes that come out clean and dedicates that come out as good as new. The EPA estimates say that the power costs are just $8 a year with a gas water heater. The cycles are faster than the Kenmore and like all good front-loaders, the clothes come out in great shape and much dryer than they do from a regular washer, saving mo...Read more
re energy and time as they need less time in the dryer. I can even dry jeans on the delicate/low setting of my Kenmore Dryer (which survived the deluge with a little help from a handyman) in less than 40 minutes. Towels and bath mats are the only things that go on high in my dryer. I always use the highest spin cycle and everything comes out perfect - even the most delicate items. I can wash more sweaters than I have room to lay out to dry at once and they all come out soft and not stretched out or shrunk - barely any reshaping necessary. Even if I forget stain stick I rarely have to wash anything a second time to get out even the worst stains. It's so quiet too - and I love the little tune it plays when it's done. We got the optional pedestal which saves my back and was well worth the $200 price tag, even if a bottle of Downy can't stand up in it. Of course HE means less detergent too. I use All free & clear and Oxiclean and they work great. The instructions say you can't mix powder and liquid but I found a way around that. I take out the detergent tray, put in a small amount of oxiclean, then put the detergent tray back in with the liquid All and I've never had any clumps in my wash nor any residue left behind in the detergent trays. With my old Kenmore I constantly had to pull out the detergent & bleach trays to clean out the gunk. I think I've cleaned out the Samsung 2 or 3 times & I've had it for nearly 14 months now. I love the delayed start. I can put in a load at night and take it out freshly washed when it plays its little tune all ready for the dryer when I come downstairs for breakfast. The detergent stays put until the wash starts (with my Kenmore some of the detergent would end up sliding into the drum hours before it was due to start, even when the machine was perfectly level).Similar opinion? Excellent
I bought this machine 8 months ago to replace a well worn top loader, This machine is amazeing not only has my water bill dropped $70 it also doesn't cause extreme wear and tear on clothing its very gentle wash action cleans better then any other machine i have used. My towels are soft and not crunchy or have rough spots from a agitator like i experienced regularly with my old top loader.
It doesn't need much deterget or softner to get good results. It also has a large amount of wash selection cycles with most programs under 50mins.
It holds alot of washing for a machine of its size and suits my family well. Iam going to purchase another for my holiday house which will also be regularly used with guests.
good products
Nothing was wrong
