Sansai Ultrasonic Cool mist unit – I have had my unit for 6 months, & it has worked reasonably well, i didn't have to refill during the night, in fact it would last up to 48 hours of continuous use before having to refill. The issue i had with mine is with the screw lid/filter, first the seal stretched for some reason, & caused leakage, then the little release pin & spring broke,… Read more

now my unit leaks all around the base. I agree that the 5L tank may be too much pressure, causing the water to force it's way out the join between the tank & the base unit.

Sansai Ultrasonic Cool Mist – If the water tank was adequate - it would be a good product. The water tank is far too small and highly inadequate. I found I have had to continually refill the water tank during the night which was extremely annoying and unacceptable. Therefore I rate only 2 stars as that is all it is worth. Manufacturers need to make the water tank far… Read more

bigger so as not to have to continually refill the tank during the evening.

I have since purchased a different humidifier with a much larger water tank.

Works well - no problem at all – Works well - no problem at all. There is no need for a seal between the main unit and the tank, as suggested by the previous reviewer. If the tank is leaking water then the control valve is faulty. This is a nice product that works very well and is very quiet. Highly recommended.

seriously poor unit – this unit has a design flaw as the water pressure of the 5+ litres in the tank being gravity fed to the base is too great ,there is no seal between the units ,and even having it flat out on high mist for the recommended half hour initial use, does nothing to stop the water leaking between the units faster than it can actually humidify... I'm… Read more

returning it for a refund, I guess it will be too bad about the water damage to my bedroom furniture ,if you do want to purchase this unit I strongly suggest that you put the base in a large flat tray /container before you put the water tank in place, and you will quickly understand the design fault. Maybe as a mere male I should have thought of this during the setup but unfortunately I didn't

beyond all the above the unit looks good and does provide cool mist as it is supposed to but the lack of seal between the tank and base makes it effectively unusable with a full or half full tank

my suggestion, look at a different brand and buy in a store lights up as it is supposed to NO seal between the tank and base which allows leakage all over whatever surface its on
