This is cheaper than the domestic Sauber, and I think preferable even though there are less attachme – Disappointed to see that this product has been discontinued especially given Godfreys still seem to be advertising it for sale. I bought mines from Godfreys and have been very happy with the strong suction, extra wide head and large bag capacity (10 litres!) of the semi-commercial model. I found that the round barrel shape was much easier to maneuver than the long traditional electrolux shape. It would be great to have the little attachments and the light on the powerhead like the domestic model BUT - 15 metre cord! Yes, you don't have to unplug to move room to room. You do have to manually wind the cord up yourself but when I balanced one against the other, I am glad to have bought the cheaper, but yet more functional (for me) semi-commercial model.

Best vacuum I have ever owned – After having a Dyson DC25 upright for 6 years, I was on the prowl for a vacuum that could handle the huge loads of mess that my family of four kids produce every five minutes. Hubby and I started looking online and had settled on a commercial vacuum. We had settled on the Numatic Henry as it seemed to suit our needs. We went to our local Godfrey's store to see if they had any in stock. The sales representative showed as a number of vacuums, but I was really after something that sucked. He laid out a test carpet, poured sand all over it and allowed me to use the Henry. It seemed to look pretty clean, the vacuum was simple and at $450.00, it wasn't too expensive. As we were about to pack Henry up and leave, the sales person asked if we wanted to see another model that was more expensive but to keep an open mind. He pulled out this vacuum that looked pretty awesome which had a huge power head on it. He plugged it in and gave it to me. He showed me how to switch the power head on (very easy) and put a clear cannister on the side so I could see what it was sucking up. I was immediately struck by the self propelled nature of the powerhead and it's width. It could get through a huge area in such a short space of time! The sales person then took me over to the patch of carpet where I had used Henry and asked me to go over it with this vacuum. It managed to pick up 500ml of sand out of the carpet I had just cleaned!!! I felt the suction without the powerhead and it was truly mind boggling. He told me the price and I gulped, it was $1450.00 BUT we managed to get it cheaper. There are so many features of this machine. There is no need for an edging tool as the pipe is rubber tipped and shaped like an elephant's nozzle. It can reach skirting boards, architraves and corners. I have had this for nearly 7 weeks and I LOVE it. I use it twice a day and my house actually looks pretty clean, even with 4 kids under 10!! Highly recommend for every family.

A Very Powerful and Robust product that looks like it's made to last long term – After using even 2 x powerful commercial (BIG) vacuums we needed something more compact and easier to use indoors for a mix rugs, carpets, tiles and polished concrete floors. A couple of rugs I thought were beyond even a shampoo. Our cleaner and we use our own Pullman cleaners so we figured we couldn't get a stronger suction etc. WRONG what we didn't know was that the actual vacuum heads were by design letting us down and making extra work due to the limited effective suction space (as with ALL standard heads). We've got the commercial unit for domestic use as it's so light and compact.

The Sauber's self propelled and carpet specific design head almost fully restored our rugs and carpets. Even after the Pullman's were used the day before - it sounded like I was vacuuming a sandpit compared. Colours changed and the aereation of the piles is REALLY noticeable. The everyday head is also well designed - I haven't seen such an effective airflow over a much wider surface then even the wide Pullman heads,

Each component feels solid and well made yet compact and quite.

Very happy with this product - it reminds me of the days when manufacturers didn't build in redundancy into their goods and intended them to perform satisfactorily for a long time. You pay more here - but you seriously get what you pay for,

Fantastic – Purchased the Sauber after Christmas & have used it once.I have in the past vacuumed weekly & had carpets shampooed annually, there only 2 of us in the house.Wow the Sauber picked up more on that one use than I think I would have got from my Bissel in 2 years. Can,t wait to get it out again. The pile actually felt soft to walk on again & the areas that looked like they were in need of a shampoo now look clean. Yes ,expensive but very happy Self propelled head & quiet.Small size of canister, but big, either disposable or reusable bags None
