most is the marketing. Schweigen heavily emphasizes the word silent across all their promotions, which set my expectations far too high—especially given the premium price point. I was expecting near silence, but in reality, it’s just quieter than average.

If you’re looking for a truly silent rangehood, you may want to explore other options. This one performs well, but the “silent” label is definitely misleading.

EDIT: the manufacturer got back to me to say my roof plumber installed some things incorrectly and said I needed Schweigen Rangehood installer, not a roof plumber. I live in a small town 3+ hrs from a major city and preferred to use local tradespeople and no one here is a specific Rangehood installer. So if you live in a city and can afford a specialised Schweigen installer, go for it. I’m not impressed with their aftercare service either.
