Great for price – For the price (around $140) these are more than I had hoped for the low price. They are comfortable, robust, have a solid battery and far Bluetooth connectivity range, and very durable. They pack up small but the most notable downside is the lack of base which is expected for the price. Another slight downside is they have an annoying beeping when… Read more
you change volume (an odd user interface decision that doesn't quite work). They are probably close to the best value for their price on the market.
Perfect balance of price vs performance – A lot of people will say that there are better sounding / louder / more feature packed headphones out in the world, and those people are correct. What they cannot say is that at this price point there are better headphones available. For the money, these headphones are just about right. Great quality audio (bass is a touch too overpowering), build… Read more
quality is great, comfortable, good looking, full of features and definitely loud enough for all but the noisiest environments.
That is not to say they are perfect - I have found that the buttons on the headphones are just too fiddly. They are too close together and there is no difference between them by feel, and I am concerned that the hinges that allow the headphones to be folded up will create a point of failure in the future, although after 6 months usage there has been no issues so far.
When being used as wired headphones, the speakers work just fine, but the microphone does not work? Not sure why, but it appears that this is by design because the included cable is 4 pole at the headphone end, but only 3 pole at the 3.5mm end. Luckily, the microphone performance when on BT is adequate.
In summary, there are more expensive and better headphones out there, but those better headphones don't diminish the excellent value for money that the HD 4.40 BT represent.
sound good with cable, comfortable, look good – bluetooth audio is dreadful in my opinion and i wouldn't recommend it to anyone. however if you do want to go down that road these are some of the best ones you can get for a good price.. also they come with a cable which is mostly how i used them as i cant bear the loss of quality you get when listening via bluetooth. it would be a better idea to… Read more
plug a chromecast audio into a usb battery and plug some good Sonys or Sennheisers into that. then you can even get lossless audio wirelessly via WIFI...
I bought these headphones because i needed something for the commute. I listen to ABC Listen's Radio National in the morning and other podcasts and drum & bass internet radio streams. mp3 and AAC or OGG streams like my DnB radio sound pretty good via bluetooth acrtually. and listening to RN is superior to A.M radio on the smartphone. They fit the role of commute headphones perfectly because they have bluetooth and also because they are the sharpest looking headphones on the market and one doesn't end up looking like a BOSE DORK or a Beats-payer-of-monies-en-largesse or even a Sennheiser CANS Geek or an Apple EarPod MAGICIAN (because they never seem to fall out of peoples ears no matter how much you push and shove and shake them on the bus). Oh yeah these have a heaps long battery life too, they never run out when i need them for a quick travail. Comfortable, best looking headphones, quality sound when using cable, what can be expected - plus long battery life - when using Bluetooth, they can be got for a good price, i paid $140, and i've seen them between $160 and $220.
Wireless headset – This is a very good wireless product, has blue tooth a fantastic sound also folding into each other for easy packing while travel. Has a true hi fi sound. 25 hours of battery. I am fussy this is great
Very good Expensive quality Turned into flaking headphone earpads did not expect this for the price!!!!!!! – Had these headphone and was very happy with price and quality, well the quality part and the happy part have now gone, as i did not expect such an expensive high quality brand to use cheap quality material on there expensive products. The head phone pads are embarrassing to wear out in public all frayed and worn. Funny they look like leather and… Read more
the price is certainly high enough for a quality cover but no it just cheap and nasty in my opinion. Need more pictures just ask
Will not buy again
Fantastic sound and noise isolation, slightly uncomfortable fit – I bought these headphones from JB hifi to replace an old pair by another brand which fell apart on me. After a lot of online research, I chose the Sennheiser HD 4.40 because it has similar features. And so far, these have been fantastic! I use these daily in Bluetooth mode in the bus and in wired mode on the PS4. Their audio quality is excellent… Read more
with plenty of bass, almost too much for my tastes. The Bluetooth has a long enough range that I can leave my phone in another room if I need to, and the call quality is very clear. The battery supposedly lasts for 25 hours, but I can't substantiate this because I charge them once a week.
The construction of the ear cups feel very solid, but the headband feels thin and flimsy, like it could break if mistreated. The ear cups have HEAPS of padding, more than any other headphones I have tried. Because of this, they are very comfortable over the ears and isolate a lot of outside noise which is very handy on the bus. These headphones do not have active noise cancelling however, its all passive noise cancelling. The ear cups fit over my ears perfectly, but my partner has pointed out that the cups are too small for his larger ears, so this is something to keep in mind if you have larger ears. There is also very little padding on the headband which starts to feel uncomfortable when wearing them longer than an hour or so.
Overall I am very happy with these headphones and I can recommend them to anyone after an over ear Bluetooth pair of headphones, but I suggest trying them on first to make sure that they fit over your ears properly.
