Great sound - these have changed the way I watch movies – I was an audio engineer in the past, and now an Electronic Engineer. I am also admittedly a long time Sennheiser nut and now have a different set for almost every application. I use the HDR180s probably twice a week for TV/movie viewing in my bedroom. Sound quality is fairly good, I am hearing details I would otherwise never hear. Bass response is adjustable (two levels). There is no background digital noise at all - thats why I bought these. There is some creaking from mechanical movement whilst wearing, but its manageable. They are pretty comfortable and easily worn for a whole movie.

The buttons on the headset take a lot of getting used to - even to adjust the volume. This requires very good dexterity indeed. I still stuff it up every now and then after a year of use.

The headset stand is ingenious in the way it charges whilst they sit on the stand. The flashing lights that indicate what is going on (between the stand and the headphones) are a bit hard to understand but I got it figured out with some trial and error. The instructions are average quality.

There is some passive noise cancellation by the over ear pads which helps enjoy movies with no background noise.

I have never ran the battery all the way down, even after 6 hours of continuous use.

Cant fault them but for the hard to use buttons and flashing lights.

Not for hi-fi use – These are Chinese-made, like all wireless headphones as far as I can research (so much for consumer choice). The build quality seems reasonable, even if there are plasticky creaks as they flex. I use them for late-night TV viewing. They're very comfortable over long periods and the sound is generally good but they don't handle silence at all well - there's always low-level hissing/whistling.

The side buttons are also ridiculous - five close-together buttons, with the power button BETWEEN the up/down volume buttons.

The unwieldy stand and separate mains power adapter means they're fussy to move around for use with different equipment. Comfort, easy charging They can't handle silence
