No app support, poor sound, terrible manual – These headphones are ok in general, the weight of them is not too bad, the sound is tolerable when worn properly, but not worth hundreds of dollars. favourite songs. I would use the app to adjust the EQ, but the app that is advertised in the manual is no longer available. The headphones are not supported by an app, despite still being sold by Sennheiser. I would not trust that current models will continue to have app support for long based on this experience.
Not usable – There are so many bad things about them: magnets are loosy and they constantly fell off, official android/ios app doesn't connect with it ( not suppoorted ) so you can't adjust eq, the mic is horrible. Don't waste your money. Show details

They are light, very light...which is also their down fall, as if they fall off...and they DO, you may not notice, unless they are in you ears. enough, but could be louder. They block out a some external noise, but that depends on your ear shape and the plug used. They sound great, given the size and lightness.
The BAD So light , they can fall off your neck so easily..and you may not notice if not in your ears...and you may step on them. They are light plastic...so feel cheap. I bought them as I like earphones with the magnet, so I can keep wearing them all day, with a secure clasp. Well, the magnet is so weak, its rendered useless. They have fallen off many times. The charge - says they last 5 hours, more like 3 hours. What is most annoying...Ive only experienced a 3 minute warning...of “low battery” and they die. Other brands, give a percentage of battery countdown, at least...and plenty of warning to charge them. Fail. I now have to carry my Bose wireless as a back up! A few drop outs when only in my pocket, so not the best connection either. The app...er....is OK, but complex...and so Ive rarely used used. I have an iPhone 8, still not been able to take a call using these headphones! So I have to turn them off and make a call via the handset. Woeful.
If I’d not got them overseas duty free, I would have returned them. Ive never returned earphones.

Great Sound, Poor Design – The Sennheiser Momentum Free wireless earphones produce amasing sound. At $329 RRP, they are on the more expensive side. Disappointed by the design and function. constantly pushing the ear piece back in, especially when walking. These earphones are not suited to jogging or working out at the gym. They will fall out!
I thought the magnets which allow you to clip the two ear pieces together was a great idea but unfortunately, the magnets are too weak and just a waste.
Position of the control panel is also problematic and makes phone calls difficult. The mic picks up every bit of background noise to the other person has a very hard time hearing.
Overall disappointed because better design and function combined with awesome sound would have made these exceptional. I think Sennheiser missed an opportunity here.
Sound quality excellent - battery life useless – The battery life on these headphones is really poor. Perhaps 2-3 hours which is not ideal for long runs or flights - which is why I have them in the first place! Not as good as I hoped – Recently bought the product because of the great reviews and brand. Pros - music sounds great & buttons easy to use and set up. Sound on calls is clear. and talk because you basically have to put the mic part next your mouth so you can't have bud in your ear. The slight brush of my hair near it distorts the sound.
Would not recommend product for the hefty price.
Maintaining momentum a problem read on – Bought the sennheiser momentum free in ear headphones. Sound quality superb, but the battery time sucks big time. Lucky to get 2 hours out of the little suckers before a recharge. Have to carry a recharger with me everywhere. So for over $350 I suggest there are better. This means you need to be constantly very mindful or you will lose them. Quite pricey even when compared with the high end competition.
Best uses: With the way the headphones fall so easily off my neck, I wouldn’t dare carry this around outside. Keep it by your bedside table or your comfy couch. The latter though has been resident to my pair of Bowers & Wilkins so the bedside it is.
General Review Comments:
The Momentum free is let down completely by a design flaw not in its audio department but from the way it is worn around your neck. The magnets would have been extremely useful if it were stronger and held the headphones around your neck under moderate movement. As it stands, the magnets come off while walking at a relaxed pace at a short 50 meter distance and often it comes off before even that point. As soon as the magnets come off, the left side of the headphone where the battery and the Bluetooth receiver is housed would weigh the whole headphone down. I have had it fallen off around my neck on more than a few occasions for the day or so of owning these headphones.
Despite this, the audio produced by the Momentum free has got to be some of the best sounding audio I have heard for some time beating my previous Bose and Sony in ear headphones. Mid levels are very lively and comes out even more pronounced. Bass is excellent. I can’t fault the sound setup at all.
