how it auto increases the suction against the skirting boards. The bend/hinge in the pipe is great for getting under low furniture and you don't have to wrestle with it to do it. I do have three dogs in my house so there is a significant amount of pet hair. On occasion the bend will get blocked, but it's easy enough to clear, once straightened out again. I have only once had to stick something down the pipe to clear it. (There was a small piece of cardboard, wedged in it). The included tools are great. The canister that collects the dirt on the vacuum is small, but that's the beauty of the empty system. You just dock it and it empties in about 5 seconds. I have a 4 bedroom house with hard floors, no carpet. The battery lasts really well. I empty the dust collection canister about once a month. Overall it's been a great purchase. I have only had it for 3 months, but so far so good.

basically useless especially they which are fitted with hepa filters which clog almost immediately and so the vacuum cleaner then refuses to run. We had seen the promos for the Shark power detect especially on wooden and tiled floors and also for carpet so decided to purchase one and we have never been happier or more pleased with it and heartily recommend it. We purchased it via the Shark Australia website direct and was delivered in days so excellent delivery and it was easy to unpack and we were very specific about reading the directions and any assembly required which was minimal, the vacuum cleaner is on a stand and has a battery in the handle which requires around 5 hours charging. The vacuum cleaning performance is exceptional and you can visibly see the carpet being lifted when vacuumed so plenty of power and see the amount of the dust and grit being sucked out was outstanding. We assumed that the house was reasonably clean so we would not have expected to see the huge amount of dust or grit and other materials vacuumed up by this machine which is visible in the dust collector which is easily removable by pushing buttons and dumping the collected dust and particles into a waste bin for disposal . The vacuum cleaner is very efficient and excellent for cleaning carpets, it is not noisy certainly no noisier than any other machine and after we felt that we had been dudded previously buying select other vacuum cleaners (Hoover and other good brands) and although considered somewhat costly we heartily recommend the Shark PowerDetect clean and empty
