Fantastic – Went to purchase another S3501 for my son 3 mths after my first mop but none in the shop. I had to purchase the upgrade S3901 it is fantastic. Its is as good as the first one cleans the same my floors come up great with no streaks, just need a scourer on the floor underfoot to scrub the harder little marks as you are cleaning as with the… Read more

S3501. It has more options; longer cord, 3 steamer settings and has lift off part, which i have cleaned the bathroom tiles and grout from ceiling to floor and also glass shower screen. I have owned this one now for almost 2 years and not a problem and my sons is still going strong. Great price for something that lasts!!

No spare parts available in Australia! – Although the mop is a decent enough product, the water cap disintegrated after about 10 months and apparently cannot be replaced or ordered in Australia. Therefore the mop is useless! It's totally unacceptable that you cannot buy such a pertinent part as without it the mop cannot be used. I would not recommend that you buy this product, as this is an ongoing issue from other reviews I have read.  Show details

If I could give it negative stars I would – Had this for about a year with minimal use (once/twice a month). The tube that sucks up the water dropped off, it is unable to fixed. Called the company and they basically wiped their hands of the product as it was sold through Big W it is big W's problem. Big W won't take it without a receipt and can't search beyond a set period to match up with… Read more

our bank statement. Basically 300 for a poorly designed mop. Thanks, never purchasing a single thing made by Shark or any of your other companies.

terrible performance – Bought the lift away professional a couple of months ago after watching their commercial on the shopping channel giving my morphy Richards to my daughter. The lack of steam power and lack of attachments was the first thing I noticedI have emailed shark customer service twice but haven't received a reply looks like their customer service is as poor as their product. Steer clear

After 11 months Dead – I am being ignored since the 12month after the steam mechanism died. It's 3 months and every time I call TV shop they only put notes and say someone will call me. NO one has bothered to call and replace my steam mop from Brand developers TV shop. The most unprofessional and unethical customer service I have ever received in my life. Disgusting… Read more

Not very impressed – Well I am very disappointed in this product, especially will all the hype about it. My hard floors do not come up clean. I have to go over it 3 times for it to look reasonable. I owned an X5 prior and my floors looked amazing after the first go. The shark does not lift rubbed on dirt and with 2 boys that's a every day occurrence. It is slightly… Read more

heavy but I can put up with that. I bought it and got one free so for the price, I'm tossing whether to send it back. Not enough steam at all even on the scrub function. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong. But I feel very dum falling for the ad. Should have stuck with what I knew. A cheaper mop I think may do the same if not better job.

Extremely rubbish – Please don't waste your money on this product. I used it only 8-10 times in couple of months and now it is not turning at all and water is leaking as well. Extremely UN-satisfied with this product. Attachments are just a joke like $2 plastic toys.

Pretty good – I use it mainly to clean large tiled areas. It works ok. I always wait a bit till it gets on right temperature and starts to release more steam. To remove harder stains you have to go over it few times. It's quite heavy. The long cord it's a plus. Loads of handy attachments. Overall not too bad but I wouldn't pay full price. Got it on promo buy one get one free and sold the second one :)

Great!!!!!! – Best thing since sliced bread,I have had many steamers cheap expensive and was very tired of them all. some left so much water on the floor it looked like a swimming pool and others that I could not manoeuvre, The shark is great my mother in law has one and bought me one also, I love it it's light to use glides around edges easily and steams… Read more

Okay, but nothing to rave over – The machine is a little clumsy for my liking. It's heavy and has an enormously long cord that doesn't stay on the top of the handle and keeps getting in the way. Since you work away from the power point, you are walking over a wet floor. It's not great on tiles as it doesn't really clean the grout. Probably best for lino. Also, constant refilling required. It sanitises. Clunky, only average on tiles.

Where are these steam cleaners – I have just seen an advert on TV for this Lift-Away steam cleaner. A number of retailers are mentioned at the end of the ad, but I cannot find any who sell it. How are we supposed to buy this product if no-one stocks it? And what's worse, how can it be advertised when it's not available?

Great but not perfect – Does a great job of everything it does. Does many jobs and does them well. First use was on a real dirty lino floor and I was impressed. On clothes, furniture, carpets etc I was pleasantly surprised. Especially happy with things like tile grout, sinks and taps, toilet, stove and everything from the TV ad's, better than I expected. It cleaned… Read more

cooked-on stains off my griller and baking trays that literally nothing else would, and did it so easily! Very impressed. Accessories are good design and quality, everything works great, no problems. I love the extra-long cord. My place is definitely cleaner than ever with less effort.

However, the ad says just use tap water but the instructions say that's bad for it. The reservoir is too small and high settings empty it quickly. You're supposed to replace the mop covers every few months but can't find them anywhere to buy, except Shark in USA (at least they're cheap). The brush attachment is superb, but I want to use it all the time and it won't last long, so how can I get new ones? They're still advertising it but it's discontinued, so how long will spares be available? That's disappointing!

The ad shows someone quickly swooshing steam over the kids' toys to "sanitise" them, don't believe it! Sterilizing requires boiling for 10 minutes, this just makes them warm and damp (is that sanitary?) The steam itself might be sanitised, but not the toys! Same goes for most things, I doubt it truly santises, but by getting more dirt off, it's still probably safer than without. It certainly cleans surfaces very well. The microfibre covers are very effective.

One niggle, using the nozzle to clean grout isn't easy (but works). The detail brush is excellent for this, but wouldn't last long and you only get one. I wish it had spare brushes, I'd use it on many more jobs.

Apart from these issues I'm happy overall. It's still way easier than traditional mops, scrubbing and chemicals, and no soapy or chemical left-overs, so things really are cleaner. Still glad I got it, use it all the time. I just think the TV ad is even a little misleading (e.g. tap water, and using steam like a disinfectant spray just isn't true!)

Was only available as a 2-for-1 deal, and who needs 2? Good design & quality, less effort for more cleaning, chemical free, does tough jobs easily. Versatile & effective. Lack of spares and support. Inaccurate TV ad. Reservoir too small. Should come with better storage for accessories

A good steam mop – I simply love this steam mop. It does it job cleaning floors and dry fast, it has long cord and easy to maneuver. I don't think it works well to sanitize carpet as the steam is not piping hot enough in my opinion. However, its good enough to give me peace of mind that my floor & carpet are clean. I bought it on buy one get one promotion, so… Read more

its bargain :D Non-chemical easy cleaning Water runs out quickly if use scrub mode. No indicator when the water runs out, need to keep on eye for the water.

Love it – I really love this steam mop. I'd be holding back buying one because I had heard of so many different branded mops leaking and leaving streaks. It doesn't leak, doesn't streak. It cleans the floors well but dries far quicker than a normal mop which is great for preventing kids slipping over. Also love how it converts to hand held steamer which… Read more

worked really well and brought my kitchen cupboards up beautifully. well made parts, no streaking or leaking of water. Cleans really well. Love the hand held steriliser. Nice looking unit small reservior, only place to get the scrubber pocket replacements online seems to be the shark site

It's ok – I got mine as a Christmas present and I was really excited as I've always wanted a steam mop to naturally clean and sanitise my house. The first time I used it I absolutely hated it. It left streak marks on my floor after cleaning but I was advised that was because I didn't wash the mop cloth first. So I have it a second chance. Second time… Read more

around it didn't leave streak marks but it has taken a while for me to warm to it from using a normal mop. This is because I find it clunky and a little cumbersome to use. I don't like that the cord is short so I has to put an extension cord on. It's hard to coordinate the cord out of the way so the mop doesn't run over it and I don't accidentally electrocute myself. The one thing that i find most inconvenient is that because I use the scrub function which requires more steam I have to fill it up every 15 minutes. It doesn't get hard dirt off the floor. After all that I don't mind it, it does give a good finish but I'm not blown away by it. Natural cleaning and sanitises my tiles/carpet. Clunky, awkward. Water reservoir runs out quickly

Not hot enough – I don't see how the steam in this product could sanitise anything because the steam is simply not hot enough to do so. With that said, this steam cleaner is great for "refreshing" floors/carpets etc, but don't expect it to kill all the germs. It is dry steam and it doesn't leave streaks as long as you keep the microfibre pad clean. Doesn't leave… Read more

puddles...but it also doesn't take out the tougher stains too easily. You need to scrub scrub scruuuub, which defeats its purpose. It's easy to manoeuvre and has fancy lights...but that's all your paying for - Not for the steam power. I can see why it's been discontinued. Fancy lights, the look, dry steam, non streaky, no puddles, buy 1 get 1 free Not hot enough to deep clean OR sanitise, too expensive for what it's really worth, no steam power...

This is a perfect appliance – This is a perfect appliance.I just love it. However it saddens me to see it is discontinued now and I have only had mine a short time. I am just hoping we will be able to still purchase replacement pads etc into the future. I am an aged pensioner and I find the mop so easy to use everywhere its suggests with great results with little effort . So easy to use being discontinued
