Good quality & longevity – These old mountain bikes are a great choice for commuters that need to leave bike at station. They don't stand out as being worth much but they are light , well made & reliable as you will ever find . I have GT ,trek, Merida and all good bikes but as a second hand old bike this and Apollo (same bike) are my recommendations  Show details

Great bike for my first bike! – Very good bike for my first bike, where I am really getting into this MTB stuff. Overall good quality for a fairly old Mountain Bike, which beats most K-Mart/Walmart and entry level bikes even today. The paint is showing some age now, with some scruffs and some scratches on the frame, around where the chain hits etc; although, this bike is getting… Read more

a re-paint, and most likely new shifters/handlebars.

Positives: Very light weight feeling frame, smooth ride, feels very easy to ride around. Also, very thin tubing frame (well, if you don't care about the new bike frame shape trends).

Negatives: Un-Comfy seat, handlebar is a bit short.

(I got this bike from my Dad's friend, so it was actually purchased in somewhere in the 90's or early 00's.)

Excellent – This used to be my wife's bike but now belongs to my son, he has made a few changes like adding a riser bar, some bar ends and a different seat. The bike has actually been off road a bit on some of the less hairy rides and has held up quite well. The only thing that I hesitate about the bike is that the rims seem a bit light weight. never really bent or anything but my son takes a lot of care. Overall the bike is really great value for money and is the definitive no frills mountain bike. Very light steel frame, good balance, nice ride, basic but reasonable quality for most components, great value for money, gives aluminium a run for the moneu Iffy rims,

Good – Overall, I think that this bike is great if you for leisurly rides. Not so much as a full on hiking/adventure ride but it is great for starters who want to go into proffessional riding. I first rode my bike when I was six and I purchased this bike because it was great and easy to use, has a nice look and is durable. The seat can get a little used to as it is designer for you to lean over the handles.
