Siemens Oven HB76GU.60A & Siemens Gas Cooktop EC645HB90A Oven Spare Parts Unavailable I purchased the above from E&S Trading in April 2013, and Installed at my Home in 2013. The Oven Ceased operating on 12th August 2025. I Rang Customer Service for assistance on 13th August 2025 and explained the problem I had encountered, and that the Error Reading on the Oven showed EO 11. I sought from Customer Service a contact for a Siemen’s Recommended Repairer. Customer Service recommended and provided me with contact details for (Metro Appliance Repair) who could inspect the unit and Repair.

I made contact with Metro Appliance Repair the same day, and arranged for a callout from ‘Metro Appliance Repair’ who arrived and inspected the Oven on 21st August 2015. After inspecting the Oven, the repairer informed me that the problem appeared to be with the ‘Operating Module Display Unit’. He excused himself and Contacted Siemens by phone (while at my home), and after describing the problem to the Siemens contact who he was talking with .. (I don’t know who he called) he told me he was provided with the replacement part number that would be required to correct the malfunction. The Part Number that required replacement was 00708729. (Operating Module Display Unit) He said he would need to order the part, and then call me back to arrange a time to fix the unit after he had received the replacement part. I was shocked when he called me later on the same afternoon to advise me that he was informed by Siemens, that Siemens no longer carried Spares for the Oven.

I had to pay him for his ‘call out and 30 minutes time’ checking out the oven. Siemens should have told me in my phone call to Customer Service that you no longer carried spare parts for the Oven. The Brochures etc that were provided to me with the purchase did not inform me of the limitations with future supply of Spare Parts, and the discontinuation of the Model. He also expressed surprise that the part was not available, as the Oven was only 12 Years Old. My previous Oven was a ‘CANNON’ which gave us 22 Years Service.

We paid the extra cost to purchase the Siemens Oven, due to the ‘Supposed’ Superior Quality ‘Sales pitch’ of the Siemens Products compared to other Ovens at that time in 2013.

I am annoyed that Siemens, ‘concealed’ from me (The Customer) that the Oven they were selling me was not going to be provided with replacement parts after a limited period of time. This should have been clearly mentioned in the condition of sales. Had I known this … I would have not purchased the Siemens Oven.

I have attached a copy of my payment to the ‘Siemens Recommended Repairer’ which I would not have had to pay, if I was informed in my Call to Siemens Customer Service that there were no spare parts available for the Model I had purchased. I have phone call records, and txt message records of these communications with Siemens Customer Service, and Siemens recommended Repairer (Metro Appliance Repair – Carnegie)

What I seek

1. I have been requested by Consumer Affairs Victoria that I need to make an appeal to Bosch Directly to resolve this complaint, before they can intervene. (hence this letter) 2. Your written acknowledgement and response to the items in this communication by 3rd September 2025, as we are inconvenienced without the use of an Oven. (email response is ok) 3. A refund for the Call out Costs I have incurred due to your Customer Service ‘misdirection’ 4. A replacement part supplied directly from the German Manufacturer or a Siemens ‘interchangeable/compatible alternative’ or post market alternative, or contact details for a technician who could repair the Operating Module Display Unit. (I was advised to seek this by an Appliance Retailer)

Yours Faithfully

Follow-up  · TERRIBLE. No acknowledgement or response to Registered Letter to Bosch/Siemens since 27/08/2025 - Had to purchase alternative - No Support (Customer Care should be re-named "Customer - We Don't Care") - Don't Buy Siemens Products.

Siemens 1Q 500 Gas cooktop – The cooktop burners perform well; but the cast iron trivets have been produced with a misalignment problem. Pans and saucepans will not sit flat and rock around when being stirred. After 6 months of correspondence and phone calls to Siemens service, they deny any fault with the product. UPDATE: this cooktop now leaking gas from the valves after just 14 months' usage. Have lodged a claim with the retailer as Siemens service are unhelpful. NOT RECOMMENDED. UPDATE - after over a year of getting the run around, the retailer intervened and Bosch/Siemens have agreed to take the unit back for a credit. Many thanks to Status Plus in Cairns - great customer care. have now purchased an Asko gas hob to replace which I will review soon.
