Very disappointed – I previously owned a Husqvarna sewing machine and was very happy with it, but after over 30 years of use it sadly "died". Foolishly I decided to purchase a Singer sewing machine - I did not want a machine that did any fancy stitching or embroidery and thought that this basic model had all the features I required and I was particularly intrigued… Read more

by the automatic needle threader. I now wish I had never bought it as I am so disappointed with its performance and quality. The procedure to thread the machine is printed on the actual machine, making it foolproof to loop the thread in the wrong place. The automatic needle threader is not easy to use and I had to return the first machine as it simply would not work. The replacement is only marginally better and several attempts have to made to thread it. Also the stitching is uneven no matter how many changes I make to the stitch length and tension. It gives a very poor result and I am very disappointed with this product.
