Sirius SDD2 L EMTC Series

We renovated our kitchen and purchased the Sirius range hood because it looked great and had decent reviews. We bought it in October 2022, but it broke down within a month of installation. It took over six weeks to get it repaired, and since then, it has failed once more about 1 year ago with the same issue. Each time, the Arisit warranty process has taken over six weeks to resolve the problem.

Now, it has broken down yet again, and we are facing further delays in booking a technician through Arisit. I strongly recommend avoiding this product. While it looks stylish, the build quality is poor, and the after-sales service is absolutely terrible. I will never buy another Sirius product going forward!

Disappointing warranty experience – I purchased a Sirius downdraft rangehood for our kitchen that we were renovating. It stopped working less than 2 years after it was installed. I contacted Arisit, the Sirius distributor in Australia. Because the date of purchase was more than 2 years ago (our renovations were delayed) Arisit decided not to honour the warranty. They have an extended warranty of 5 years but only if you purchased Sirius ducting. The Sirius ducting was out of stock at the time so that wasn’t an option for us. After weeks of waiting and follow up emails, the Arisit customer service told me I would have to contact a local appliance repairer at my own expense. However, the repairer they recommended said that they do not repair this type of rangehood.

This is very disappointing for a “premium” product that we paid $4,599 for.

What a great product – I renovated my kitchen myself and opened up the kitchen to the rest of the house removing a wall, with having a benchtop with no splashback I needed to be inventive so with a little extra work I installed the 880 down draft extractor normally used on island benches into the wall cavity at the back of the bench top giving me both extraction and splash back stopping accidental spillages from the lounge room. The Sirius 880 was perfect for the job and is performing excellently.

Loving this sexy product – I have revived my product and am loving the look of it .... very sexy. cannot wait to get it installed and use it and write my next review.thanks .The style looks amazing!!Its is a very sleek unit. The cost is a bit Xeee but i am hoping it will be well worth every cent! 1.5 yrs later I'm still LOVING this Product! Extracts AMZINGLY No issues! Worth every cent!!

Great island bench solution – For our new house we were struggling to find a range hood as our ceilings are high and sloping and the hob is in the island bench. Sirius downdraft is the perfect solution! It is neat and stows away seamlessly. The extraction is a lot better than we were expecting also.
