Could anyone please recommend an alternative brand base and to coat to use with Sistaco powders?. Based in Australia. I have tried using their products with detrimental effects on my nails (now extremely thin, soft splitting and very short). I have read countless comments here stating that other brands will work, however it seems that no one has mentioned their names.

Christine C, have you tried using a peel off base coat under their products. I did my nails once using sistaco and the removal was horrendous so I started googling alternatives. I came across makartt peel off base coat and decided to buy some and give it a try. I can honestly say it is an absolute game changer for removal. No more messing about for hours trying to remove it only to ruin your nails. Just a thin coat then cure with the sistaco lamp for 60 seconds, then use the sistaco products as you normally do. When it comes to removing it, just use some cuticle oil and an orange stick or cuticle pusher and work the oil under your manicure. Keep working it until it’s under the entire colour and it should just peel or slide off. Might need to clean up with a tiny bit of remover or alcohol just to remove any residue from the peel off base coat.

Yes I have the same problem! Removing was really difficult! The powder did not go gooey and scrape off!

I spent most of the night last night trying to do my nails. The new rapid remover seemed to be more like a glue or something. It did not remove anything, it just added more product to be removed. Every time I put some on it just set like glue leaving me 3 coats I had to try and remove. NOT HAPPY

Vicki

I have started using the makartt peel off base coat on my nails before I use the sistaco base coat, colours, top coat etc. You can remove it by using a bit of cuticle oil and a cuticle pusher to work it under the finished mani. It comes off very easily. Can do a final clean up with a bit of uv remover or just some alcohol on a lint free wipe. Not that it needs much of a clean up. Just in case there is still a bit of sticky residue from the peel off. Hope this helps. No need for anymore nightmare removals.

I am very happy with my first application of metallic gold which I left on for about 10 days with only slight wearing on the tips. I also want to try a different colour. I am having trouble removing…I used a buffer on the coarsest level then applied the rapid removal individually. I then tried to lift it with the supplied tool which didn’t lift the product even after three applications, done thickly as instructed. I didn’t want to go too hard and damage the nails. I ended up using lots of “ultra powerful gel remover” - about 1/4 of the bottle! So easy to apply, not so easy to take off. Any tips or other product that works. Thanks

I live in Canada and I have placed an order. The tracking information shows it is being sent by Australia post. I thought it was a North American company. If it is actually coming from Australia how long can I expect it to take?

So I'm new to this system, I got it for xmas. Loved the idea of it being more gentle to nails, being mineral, than say SNS and I liked the fact that you didn't have to have it taken off with the grinding tools they use. Not to mention saving money however as with most that have stated here, I had a terrible time too removing it and then my nails all broke off soon after They are the shortest they have ever been. Sadly I'm actually scared to use it again in case it makes my nails worse. Anyway someone has mentioned that you can still use a gel base and top coat with the powders which might be best as it will be easier to take off but obviously you don't use the LED light?? Can I then just use regular acetone to remove. I imagine these also won't last as long either?? Finding all the comments very helpful, thanks.

I found that the easiest way to remove it is to buy a product called Magic Remover. You can find this product from most online stores like Temu or Amazon.

I have started using makartt peel off base coat. I get mine from aliexpress but I think you can get it on Amazon as well. It’s a complete game changer for removal. There are some really good reviews and YouTube videos about it. Well worth giving it a go. I got in touch with makartt and asked if their base coats and top coats could be used with sistaco powders. I was told yes they can but thevwear might not be as long. I’m yet to try that but can highly recommend using the peel off base coat first.

Does the Rapid remover only work on the short term application method eg Top Coat on bottom and top - Because I’ll be damned if it will remove the Long term application method eg with Base & Top Coats. Have tried three different tubes of the stuff to zero success. Their Customer Service is rubbish implying your method must be wrong even though I’ve followed their video to the letter.

Kel
Kel

It removes them all, just takes a bit more with long wear.. make sure you are filing down the top layers for it to penetrate lower layers. Are you using the removal tool?

Tracy J
Tracy J

Yes I use the removal tool AND file down the top layers. I stated earlier I follow your video to the letter and still this Rapid Remover does not PEEL it off as you state. I’ve tried three tubes now.

Zie
Zie

No it does not work. I had to file it off my nails as rapid remover does not remove it!

Zie
Zie

I was told the rapid removal hub would work - It doesn't! Paid more money as the kit was rendered useless without being able to remove it. Then told to fill it with pure acetone and steam fingers. The smell and fumes are horrific I cannot use it and there is no way that is good for anyone with toxic fumes. Also it still does not remove the product from nails.

Trying to remove the Sistaco nail polish is a horrific nightmare. I followed their instructions to the letter; forced to try my own variations, still didn't work. Hours and hours of tears and heartbreak as my nails were destroyed in the process of trying to get the crap product off my nails. Devastated.

Vicki

I have started using the makartt peel off base coat under the sistaco products. Very easy to remove, no filing off top coats or trying for hours with their removal process. Just a bit of cuticle oil along the cuticle and sides of your nail and work it under with an orange stick or cuticle pusher. It will all peel off in one layer. May need a final cleanup with a bit of remover or alcohol but that is only to remove any reside that might be left from the peel off. Total game changer for removing. There are probably other brands of peel off that could be used.

Can anyone tell me more about the "non lamp" method? Havent tried the powders yet and am honestly a little reluctant to use their base/top coats having seen some of the posts, Was looking for something more nail friendly after nail damage from acrylics - guess not this one! And on that note, OPI Repair Mode is brilliant for repairing damage to nails ;)

Absolute scam. They do not respond to complaints, send faulty items, then refuse refunds. Which is illegal under consumer law. I've requested multiple times to refund due to extensive faults, they just keep sending me more of their plastic garbage against my will and ignore all communication. This had been over a month of terrible experiences.

Sandie
Sandie

I’m so glad I purchased using PayPal! I have lodged a dispute, with only 2 days to spare. So many of the items I ordered had issues, also had no reply to complaint - when I got a reply after 3 weeks it was instructions to use broken item. Realised they just try to get you past the stage of putting in a claim against them. I’m so ashamed of them being an Australian company!!!

Zie
Zie

They are really on top of any negative feedback or reviews. I had comments removed from facebook. I tried to get a refund was told no, so disputed as the product does not do as advertised, which is illegal in Australia to falsely advertise! So then disputed it with Paypal but again Sistaco reply instantly to block refund. Must have someone full-time on disputes! But not customer service, care or postage - interesting!

Shawnie B.
Shawnie B.

What I find amazing about their entire business platform, is that it is too unrealistic to believe that there is NOT ONE negative comment or reply on their facebook or their website. Customers comments are so heavily censored it's boarding on criminal

Why have I been ignored by you? I was scammed by Sistaco - I ordered product and a fee is automatically added for secure shipping. The US Post Office said it was delivered but I did not receive it - I filed a lost package report - they found that the package had my name and tracking number on it but a Sistaco label was added over that sending the package to someone else and my name was scratched through. The company will not refund my purchase or shipping or "secure shipping" fee. They get to make a claim against the shipping insurance to get what I paid back to them plus they get whatever the other person paid - What a SCAM!!!! I get auto generated responses and one nasty what do you want email. NADA.

Can I use the powders with a base and top coat that are not sistaco? I hate their new remover as It does not work for me no matter what I do. I have watched their videos on how to use it and still does not work for me and they will not allow you to buy the old remover. So if something other than sistaco will work with the powders then My money is not wasted. Plus maybe it will be easier to remove

Is is possible to do a touch up on the ends of nails? I have my hands in water a lot and in one day the ends are starting to wear off.

Jodie
Jodie

Yes you can just wipe with some alcohol and then apply thin coat of base cure for 20-30 apply the powder as normal and then just top coat over the whole nail and long cure. Make sure to cap your nails as this helps. Metallic colours don’t wear as hard as the classic I’ve found Hope this helps.

Luanna S.
Luanna S.

Thank you, Jodie! Classic is what I bought. I'll get some metallic next time. What does it mean to cap your nails? My nails are very short. I bought this hoping to get my nails to grow again.

Hi All, I have purchased the whole Sistaco kit except for the hub given that they also recommend the express nail remover and nail remover without the hub, I thought I would give this a go firs. I have used the kit for four weeks and have seen that firstly, the colours last no more then a week as opposed for two weeks, the removal process is difficult having to coat the nail colour with the removers more then numerous times before they remove, what has now resulted with the nails becoming brittle, thin and fragile. I have attempted to speak to the customer service to propose a resolution, and this has been very poor with different messages through Facebook, and the email not responsive except for once which what appears an automated message. After one response they are now asking me to tell them what procedure I have followed when I have already advised this in my earlier correspondences. I have mixed feelings as I love the idea of this concept but it's the removal process which is the concerning part. I have since stopped using all the products and still waiting on a response. I am now going into this arena as I am hoping it will drive some attention but surely if some of you are having good results are you using the hub or are you using just the nail remover solutions. I am clearly takin over my own research since the customer service needs to step up their game as I am now at the point of not impressed with the lack of appropriate solution focused. Note also I am using my own nails and not acrylics so not sure if that changes anything but would love other customer feedback given there is lack of support from this organisation! Look forward to your responses. Jeannie :)

That's interesting. I'm a new user and am having a heck of a time removing with express nail remover. I even tried pure acetone on one nail. It didn't work. It's a LONG process to remove this stuff, and I'm afraid I'm damaging my nails.

Catherine and Trevor D.

I'm having the same experience. My nails are started off as thin and brittle, and the removal process is really taking a toll on my nails. I love the colours but the removal process (express remover) is a nightmare in my experience.

Shazam
Shazam

I had e TERRIBLE experience too, your not alone at all. I was using the rapid remover and it would take 4-5 applications on each hand to get the colour off. It took all day. I then purchased the hub, that worked sort of twice ONLY. Then did nothing! They refused to refund me, kept telling me to email USA ! Boasting an Aussie company! I detest the company due to the amount of damaged caused, their zero response and big brother attitude when it comes to Facebook. They allow NO questions so all everyone sees is 100% positive and happy, it’s so fake it’s a joke !

Zie
Zie

Yes same experience here. You are definitely not alone. Can't remove it! Nails damaged! Sistaco respond with videos and generic automated information to appease. Refuse to refund a product that does not work! Reviews and Feedback blocked - especially on Facebook. Then upsold a hub - that still doesn't work to remove product and more importantly uses toxic chemicals and creates horrific fumes on a product that is suppose to be natural and healthy. It is fake. It is like a cult!

Lesley B.
Lesley B.

The system is definitely not as easy and absolutely not as fast as they tell you. Customer service was terrible and they blocked me from all Facebook chats. They still owe me money for products not received. I really wouldn’t recommend them. Because I spent a lot of money on their products initially I will continue to use the powders but I am mixing and matching with other UV base coats etc. that are just as good. I bought a BASK LA remover hub which is cheaper and far superior to the Sistaco one. Beware of this company, they draw you in to spend more than you planned and then rip you off!

Sadah S
Sadah S

What company of base coats do you use? Sistaco is ruining my nails as well but still want to use the powder as I spent a lot of money.

Vicki
Vicki

Sarah s I have just started using makartt peel off base coat under the sistaco products. It is a complete game changer for removal. You put on one coat of the peel off then cure using the sistaco led lamp. From there you just use your sistaco products as you normally would. When it comes time for removal you use a bit of cuticle oil and an orange stick or cuticle pusher and work the oil around the edge of your mani, then gently work a bit more oil under neath until it just peels off. You can also soak your hand in warm water for about 10 minutes I believe and that will loosen the peel off enough to work it of with orange stick. I haven’t tried that way yet. You may need to do a bit ofclean up with remover or alchol but that only to remove any reside from the peel off.
