year and again after 2years. SMEG cooktop also rusts after 2years. Unreliable products and overpriced replacement parts. Never ever again will we buy any SMEG products.

Missing parts for installation - bracket – Purchased from The Good Guys - Springvale on 9/7/2019. At the installation point installer could not finish the installation due to (later discovered) missing brackets for hanging of the hood. cost. User Manual not correct and does not have any reference to the brackets. Person from the technical department "C..." , committed help only after being reminded that they are "the top company" - rude and unpleasant. Spare parts department helpful.

Am disappointed to see that this item has been discontinued though, this was not mentioned when purchased from store. Would have appreciated if we were notified that the item is a discontinued line, still paid dearly for item.

The look is good and the exhaust suction is good but it is faulty – I have bought this undermount for the look and exactly what I wanted and trusted the name. Kitchen finished in January but I did not use it much. Noticed the lowest fan setting was faulty. every now and again. Time to call the Good Guys Conceirge. A Technician came and replaced something. All the problems have not been fixed and it is worse than before. It kept turning itself on and off and when it was on I could not turn it off!!!! Tehnician is coming again and I will see what he has to say.

switches are faulty (or we have a ghost) before I even got to use it. When the electrician tested it it seemed fine but now??? We are in the process of redoing our kitchen and were about to spend $3500 on a new smeg freestanding oven however we will now be revisiting this idea.

Perfect for Price – 1. Overpowering motor great extraction. 2. Used with dual wok cooktop especially for heavy dishes, curries and fries, no complains yet. 3. 5. Have smoke alarm close to kitchen cooking area, with the older Smeg RH cooking some fry dishes emitted excessive smoke which had set it off; BUT cooking the same dishes with this SA980CXA the smoke alarm has remained unaffected (smoke alarming working well ;)).

6. Led lights are powerful- covers entire 90cm cooktop and more.

7. If in market for Rangehoods do NOT hesitate in grabbing the 980cxa - an effective piece.
