our new home which has off white Subway Tiles. Toasting evenness is reasonably good from one side to the other but could be a bit better.. getting bread in and out has never been a drama whether thick or thin…
Wouldn't recommend – Purchased 1 week ago, have used it every day and tried different temp setting. Does not cook on both sides, One will be under cooked the other over or burnt. Leaves crumbs everywhere and very slow. Returning product to the store for a full refund. Show details
Disappointed – Whilst the toaster looks good on the bench, it takes a long time to lightly toast bread. I hosted extended family breakfast and ran two toasters side by side. The Smeg was more than twice as slow as the Breville 4 slice toaster. Both toasters produced nicely coloured toast but the Smeg tended to dry the toast more than the Breville. Show details
Perfectly fine toaster does the job – The toaster is very basic to use and has a catcher on the bottom for all the crumbs. It’s so cute and adorable I mean it’s pricey but it’s smeg and the quality is great. There are a few functions to toast the bread but I haven’t bothered. The bread doesn’t get stuck in the toaster. Wide angles too so your toast can be long or thick vice versa. I’ve never had mine throw out toast on the floor either. Show details
Toasts well but enamel is rubbish – I purchased both this toaster and matching kettle in the pink and am already on my second of each as Harvey Norman replaced them. The first toaster shorted out the power, the first kettle faded to the point that it was completely mismatched with the toaster. replaced, then this morning when I cooked my toast, it popped up and sat over the enamel slightly and has now burned it so there is an ugly brown mark at the top on the front of my toaster!
Now not only am I left with a kettle that is a different colour at the top than it is at the bottom but also a toaster with a huge singe mark from the very toast it cooked!?
For over $400 worth of appliances, and for them to have already been replaced once I am totally appalled at the quality.

Sends toast flying – I agree my $400 toaster kettle smeg set does send toast muffins crumpets flying across the room all the time. My kettle lid sticks too. Ive had quite a few 5 second rules before school drop off. I expect more from such expensive appliances Show details

Smeg not worth the money – This toaster sends the toast/muffins flying out onto the floor. Doesn't matter if I put in 2 or 3. Bought the kettle also and only had it 7 months and the lid is sticking when trying to open. To have spent $400 on both I would have been better to have gone to KMART and spent $60. Not happy!
