Hello, I have a Soda Stream Power bought around 2017. It has stopped working - the lights are on but when you press the button nothing happens. Have tried power off / on, plug out etc. Can you advise what to do?

Hello I've got a soda stream power/source electric 6.5 volts 2 amps. When I push the button to fizz the lights go out then start flashing quite rapidly. Can this be fixed or should it go to land fill? Thankyou

Your AU support website is useless. Just keeps going in circles & won't accept or understand what my fault description is ... When I push the button to fizz the 3 lights go out then start flashing quite rapidly.

A simple Q fellas. Could power be operated manually in a blackout scenario or allow mobility where at home I could plug in n use 3 buttons and taking it to a park allows me to use it manually without any power?

SodaStream
SodaStream   DM

Hi Sreeram, thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately no, in a blackout situation or one without electronic power, this model would not work. If you need something more portable that would work without the need for electricity, we would recommend going with one of our manual models. We hope this helps!

ThnQ fellas, indeed it did. I've purchased tierra from Officeworks as it came with 6x 1L bottles n 2xCO2s better than 20% EOFYS on ur website. Perhaps quoting this in product features will provide clarity in choosing the right product rather than ransacking IoT to get simple details.

Does the SodaStream Power need to be plugged into the power all the time or does it charge a battery and you can use without power?

SodaStream
SodaStream   DM

Hi Zoedutt, thanks for reaching out! This model would not work in a situation without power - it needs to be plugged in all the time and does not contain a battery. If you need something more portable that would work without the need for electricity, we would recommend going with one of our manual models.

Please note, even our electronically powered models still require gas in order to carbonate your water. We hope this helps!

Hi we have the soda stream power. It has started leaking from unit above bottle when under pressure. The machine is about 9 months old. Any ideas?

We have just received our Sodastream Power and the gas cylinder won’t fit in the machine

I know of just one cylinder for this unit so either you have an obscure cylinder or it is not being installed correctly. Lay the unit on its side and slip it up through the hole in the base. Good luck.

I have a sodastream power that fails to hold in the vertical lock position. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Thanks

Hi Max- I had issues with water leaking from the seal when I charged the bottles and even replaced 2 Soda Streams under warranty after I had demonstrated to the staff where I bought them that the leak was happening which they definately did not believe, until I showed them. I have found the only way to have the system work without leaking becasue of the loose fitting is firstly, ensure the gas bottle is screwed in tightly. When you are ready to fit the water bottle, I fnd if I moisten the top of the bottle, just a little and then when I fit it, I make sure I push it up into throat of the unit tightly to ensure that it is sealed and no gas can escape, and this seems to hold the bottle tightly. Alos, as I have ben using mone for around 6 months, it seems to get better after some use. Hope this helps.

Hi, I purchased a SodaStream Power three weeks ago from Myer and it's been working really well until tonight when it started making a rattling noise and then wouldn't carbonate. I changed the cylinder but to no avail, it still wouldn't work.

Has anyone had a machine and bottle explode in their face. This just happen to me last night. So frightening and could have been catastrophic if any of the small, sharp shattered pieces had gone into my eye or face. It was an older machine but have never had any problems until now. Obviously the machine is totally recked but I'm more concerned about the safety issues. Thanks

peewee
peewee

Hi Jennifer, My machine is a new model, electric power with 3 x settings for the amount of 'gas' you want. I had to replace my first one under warranty because whenever I tried to gas a bottle of water, it would always leak water from around the neck and despite many contacts with Sodastream, the issue remains, although not as bad as it was with first machine. I must say that Sodastream were reasonably helpful but really had no ideas and apart from offering a refund or replacement, didn't have a solution and the staff that I dealt with seemed to be convinced that their machines never have issues which may be true for them but certainly not for me. However, before I gas a bottle now, I ensure the rim is wet and I 'screw' the bottle around as I am inserting it and push it hard against the seal, the idea being to try to ensure a proper seal is achieved and it works almost all of the time now. I wonder if the bottle that exploded in your machine may have had a defect or small crack that you may not have noticed and simply couldn't take the pressure or possible it may not have been inserted far enough although the gas bottles have a pressure relief valve so the defect or crack suggestion might be correct? Something to be aware of and glad it wasn't worse for you.

I can't work out which soda stream model to buy. I'm not after flavouring just want a really fizzy/bubbly water. I see the range in price so really want to do my homework before buying one. I was looking at the element one but don't know if this one has an electric cord and are the corded ones better/ more powerful?? Do they all use the same bottles??

I have a power soda stream that has worked well, recently it will release one burst of gas and then even though clearly trying, the subsequent bursts of gas are not released - it is an intermittent problem - the gas cylinder is full - there is no obvious blockage of the tip

Hi, I've had my sodastream power for a couple of years now & have been very happy with it. But recently, after a gas bottle change I've had this problem. When I select any of the carbonation buttons, the water doesn't gas in intervals anymore, it's just one contentious gas & the water overflows everywhere. I fill the bottle to water line. I never over fill. What is the problem & how do I fix it?

What is the difference between Soda Stream Power and Soda Stream Spirit? There is up to $150 difference between the 2.

SodaStream
SodaStream   DM

Hi Bella, thanks for reaching out. Long story short, the choice of Sparkling Water Maker essentially depends on your budget and which style Sparkling Water Maker you want sitting out on your kitchen counter!

The Spirit Sparkling Water Makers are made from plastic and use reusable PET carbonating bottles (Fuse 1 litre and Fuse 500ml) to carbonate your drinks. The Spirt machines come with one starter gas cylinder and one 1 Litre bottle. (500ml Fuse bottles are also compatible). The Spirit Sparkling Water Makers include the “Snap Lock” mechanism where bottles are easily inserted and removed from the machine. This machine works by pushing a button on the top of the model to carbonate your drinks.

Power Sparkling Water Makers are electrically powered. These machines include a simple touch-button Activation which means you can choose one of 3 carbonation levels at the push of a button - low, medium or high. They also include the Snap Lock Mechanism where bottles are easily inserted and removed from the machine. These Sparkling Water Makers use 1L PET and Fuse bottles (500ml Fuse bottles are also compatible) and come with one gas cylinder and one Fuse 1L carbonating bottle.

You can check out more info on our machines here: external link

We hope this helps! :)

I have a soda stream power I’ve had it less three weeks and already I need a new cylinder - how many litres do you get if you use the third option, I have had no where near 65 L as per the specs please advise

Malcolm S.
Malcolm S.

Hi Sharon, we've had ours about a month. The first cylinder ran out after about 20 days. We were using mostly the middle option and occasionally first or third. With probably 3 bottles produced per day that seems to be about 50 L. I think someone else here has commented that 50L is more realistic. I'm happy with that amount/cost as the Sodastream has reduced my consumption of wine and $ spent.

The serial number is located on a sticker type data plate attached to the inner side just above where the power plug is put. Just remove the rear panel to get access.

Which sodastreams dont need to be plugged into a eletrical source as well????

SodaStream
SodaStream   DM

Hi Georgie, thanks for reaching out. The only electrically powered SodaStream machines are the Power, Source Electric and the Spirit One Touch. So the Jet, Spirit, Source Element, Source Metal and the Crystal are not electric machines, they're only powered by the CO2 Cylinder. We hope this helps Georgie!

Hi, I see the comment above that the glass carafes are only compatible with the crystal model, but my question is why doesn’t Sodastream manufacture and offer glass versions of the carbonated bottles? I find this disappointing. Can I purchase the glass carafes- if I purchase the Power model- and then simply decant from the provided Plastic bottles into the glass ones for storage in the fridge? Sodastream, will you consider adding 1L glass bottles for the Power and Electric Models, as part of your premium offerings?
