Sol Republic Amps Air
MPNs: ITZPHSTSRPSQLT and SOL-EP1190GD7 reviews
Crappy battery life & never pair – These are the worst! Mine never pair together unless the battery life is completely full. They lose charge quickly. And they’re heavy so despite changing the size of the earphone speaker sponge, they drop out if I bend over. Don’t buy! Show details
Good but short life span – The Pump air fits nicely in ear and paired easily. Performance wise, sound was good except it occasionally loses connection momentarily. After 1 year of moderate use, the pump air started to discharge battery inside the charging box so now it is alway out of battery unless I charge it every 2 days. I will not buy another one in the future. Show details
Not bad for what you pay for – I use these for work and gym. The sound quality of this is really good but can't leave them in my ear for a long period of time. Initial connection sometimes can be an issue but after you connect it, it doesn't drop until you turn it off. Overall, would recommend these earphones if you are on a budget and looking for decent ones in the price range Show details
Has trouble pairing, so only one side works – 3 months after purchase i can no longer pair both headphones. Only the left side works and have given up trying and dont use anymore. Brought another sol republic headphones that have a piece sitting at the back of neck. It was good except it was heavy and when i leaned back the piece fell off. No more sol republic for me. Not worth it for price. $199 for air amps a rip off. Show details
Decent – Good fit. Good sound. Very disappointed that the packaging doesn't advise that all voice and video calls are in left ear mono only. This cannot be changed and is detrimental to the product.. It's such a shame as they really do look and feel like a really good high quality product. Several drop outs and regularly have to reconnect the buds to each other. But still better quality than others on the market. Show details
Comfortable bluetooth earphones – After initial problems pairing, they pair and sync with phone very quickly. Comfortable to wear and had no problems with them falling out. After a while you forget they are there. Few issues with the bluetooth dropping out and one earbud always takes some adjustment in the charging box to seat properly. On the whole recommended. For what it is, it is by far the best out there on the market – You're probably wondering, if you've read my previous reviews about other headphones, why did you buy this and what's so good about it? Having owned Sennheiser, Bose and a few other different types of headphones, the reasons are as follows: (1) Compact (2) Wireless (3) Bluetooth capability (4) Sweat & water-resistant (not to be fooled with… Read more
waterproof... its different)
(5) Reasonably quick charge
The negatives:
(1) Up to 3 hours of use
(2) Useless for watching Youtube videos or movies on your phone, phablet or tablet due to bandwidth lag.
Therefore only suited for streaming music
(3) Small, can easily be lost, therefore must keep on-hand its charging case at all times (that in itself is also small)
There are probably a few more positive and negative remarks as to what this is. But I personally have not seen anything like this right now.
You feel like you're apart of the secret service or doing some kind spy stuff... wearing an inconspicuous little device in your ear.
I bought this because of two reasons... actually three. Just joined a gym and where workouts are important: (1) its kind of stupid wearing a large headset, especially of the reviews that I've done in the past regarding the Bose QC25 and the Sennheiser (forget which model)... and a few others (Plantronics, Samsung). They are all fantastic in terms of what they deliver, but bulkiness and impracticality when it comes to exercise they all fail miserably.
This is supposed to be sweat and water-resistant, so you should spend less time playing around with your headphones and more so focused upon the exercise workouts or other sporting activities
(2) does everything such as answering calls (though not overly fantastic... its ok)
(3) the small box in which the wireless headphones come in which doubles as a charger for the ear buds themselves... also charges your phone or tablet with multiple connections. So it acts as a portable battery for a wide range of uses.
These ear phones / head phones... what ever the are technically categorised, come in 3 colours. Unfortunately where I bought them, they only had one colour which was gold.
Should you buy them... well they're on sale at the moment at JB Hifi, not sure how long the promotional sale will last.
