Internal racks are flimsy as heck and rust. The tines that hold the plates upright snap off. My dishwasher is only 6months old and it is already throwing error codes because the pump wont drain properly and which SOLT do nothing about because apparently the issue is where the dishwasher sits. The 20year old LG machine this replaced however never… Read more
had an issue being on a flat floor under a kitchen bench. Save your money and DO NOT BUY SOLT. Heck, Ill chuck you a few bucks just so you dont buy this trash
Solt dishwasher is such a useless machine and mine got broken within a month. I bought it from Pakenham Good guys and once I reported the issue they passed it to a company called Novera which handles warranty . Then I received a terms and condition for a technician to come and I gave up the whole thing since it can cost me more money because I… Read more
have to be home whole day without going to work when the technician comes. Never buy this product. It is wasting hard earned money and nobody is there to help you when you get into trouble with this stupid machine.

The main thing to understand about this dishwasher is that it’s not in the same league as Bosch, Fisher & Paykel, Westinghouse, Miele, or other premium brands. You simply don’t get the same level of quality. While it does the job satisfactorily and is fairly easy to use, it looks and feels cheap, with noticeably low-grade materials used. One… Read more
feature I really miss is a timer. There’s no indication of how long is left in a cycle, so you’re never quite sure when it will finish. After owning it for about 15 months and mainly using the “Fast 90” cycle, I now know it takes roughly an hour - but you shouldn’t have to guess. There’s also an “Extra Dry” button, which seems largely pointless, as it only extends the cycle without actually making the dishes any drier.
I’ve also found that when the cycle finishes, you have to tug at the top basket to free it from the hole in the back that it slides into, just to get the glasses, cups, and bowls out. That’s another major irritant - you shouldn’t have to do that; it should simply glide out easily without needing to apply force.
The major issue, however, is that after just 15 months, both the top and bottom baskets had rusted. That’s not something you’d expect from a relatively new dishwasher that’s still under warranty. To their credit, the local agents for Solt, Residentia Group, were very understanding, efficient, and responsive. Although they stated that rust wasn’t covered under warranty, they agreed to replace both baskets at no cost. The replacements also arrived extremely quickly - just a day after approval.
Overall, though, this isn’t a great product. While it sits at the cheaper end of the market, I’d recommend spending a bit more to get a better-quality dishwasher with longer-term reliability.
If you want a dishwasher that washes dishes , this is NOT the machine for you! The GoodGuys clearly don't publish the negative reviews for their products , only false positives. I haven't had a single cycle where all the dishes have come out clean. I've put some dishes in repeatedly , only to come out with the same amount of dirt and we're talking light food remnants , not heavy grease or baked on stuff. Show details
Terrible! Save your money! – Bought this on the 19th December 2024. It worked ok for the first 2-3 washes but now it doesn't clean dishes fully and leaves a white residue on everything including its own parts regardless of wash cycle, or dishwasher product used. It does not dry even when you select the option I've done several machine cleaning cycles to no avail. It is loud compared to other dishwashers. Waste of $400, and right before christmas... Worst. Dishwasher. Ever – This dishwasher is a piece of junk. We rinse the dishes before we use the dishwasher. I use the "intensive" setting every time I use it. Everyday there is coconut (from my muesli) over all the bowls (see photos). It's easy to brush off so it's not stuck on there or anything. I mean what's the point of a dishwasher if it doesn't wash dishes? I'm… Read more
glad I didn't buy it, but my landlord did. If you are thinking of buying it, please don't. I have bought an entry level bosch (as my last rental didn't have a dishwasher) so I'm going to swap it. And finish dishwasher tablets don't fit it this dishwasher properly, and often are still in there after the wash has finished, and to be honest it didn't make a difference to the end result whether the tablet has worked or not.

Absolute waste of an appliance, the cleaning performance is so poor i wash my dishes by hand. I honestly have never used a worse appliance in my life. DO NOT PURCHASE. Show details
Follow-up · Still an absolute piece of s*#t.
It’s a joke that this is even called a dishwasher. Maybe 1/10 dishes get cleaned. I’m renting so I don’t get to choose, I’m considering spending the money to replace it and putting it back when I move. It can’t fit dinner plates inside of it,… Read more
nowhere to comfortably fit bowls, leading to significantly smaller loads than the size should allow.
The cycles take ages, without cleaning anything. It’s an absolute waste of money, time and water.
DO NOT BUY THIS RUBBISH.
I’ve got a solt washing machine that works just fine. It’s not the brand as a whole, but this rubbish is absolutely not fit for purpose.
Whoever is on Solt’s quality control team should be embarrassed and ashamed about releasing this. I’m actually impressed with how bad it is
Follow-up · Nothing has improved. No matter the detergent, it doesn’t work. Cutlery is left jewel as bad is it went in, dishes are not dried properly, no matter the rinse aid.

Like most people, I would give this a 0 if I could. I had never owned a dishwasher before this, I thought I was doing something wrong; or it was normal for them to work this badly. Of course I quickly realised I wasn't the issue and this was just a terrible dishwasher. I struggle to deal with life-admin things at the best of times, so dealing with… Read more
both a store and manufacturer who don't want to take responsibility while holding a financial obligation over your head (if no fault is found) was more than I could deal with. The store only admitted after the purchase it was notoriously terrible and is often used by builders as a display. Why sell something you all know is terrible!? Dont waste your money
Unique in that dishes come out worse than you put them in. A few tea leaves left one cup somehow get washed onto other cups then caked on by drying. Bizarre. Should be studied by engineers to see how not to build a dishwasher. Clearly never tested. Thank goodness I’m in a rental. Not my problem. Show details

Bought my first Sôlt on 4/2021 and worked like a dream. Many happy reviews left for Good Guys. Almost 4 years being happy, bought a new one. Cheap, but you get what you pay for. Utensils don’t fit in basket. Basket doesn’t fit in washer Pulling out the bottom slider it runs everywhere. Don’t waste your money. 11/25!!! Sorry, absolutely not even worth the money. Show details

So many negative reviews on here, I have had no issues the 2 years I have owned this dishwasher, it's been great. Everything comes out sparkling clean and dry. It is a little flimsy so you can't be rough with it but for the price that is to be expected. When you get it you do have to move the top rack up to the top level otherwise your dinner… Read more
plates won't fit. Also you can only put things in the little front sideways rack up for 20cm high or something like that otherwise the dishwasher tablet compartment won't open.
***Update*** After giving the dishwasher a thorough clean, especially the spray arms and filter, it’s made a big difference. It’s now performing much better, and most dishes are coming out clean. I’ve updated my rating from 1 to 3 stars. For the price, I think it offers good value. ********** Really disappointed with this dishwasher. As rental… Read more
tenants, we didn’t choose it, but we’re stuck with it.
It just doesn’t do the job it’s meant to. In fact, things sometimes come out dirtier than they went in. We’ve tried all sorts of dishwashing tablets and powders, but nothing seems to help.
It’s incredibly frustrating. We basically have to hand wash everything before loading, which totally defeats the purpose. The top rack is especially bad, cups and glasses often come out cloudy or with food still stuck on them.
If you’re looking to buy a dishwasher don’t settle for something like this. Spend a bit more and get one that actually cleans.
I can't actually believe that there are mostly bad reviews for this product. I bought it just over a year ago while my wife was overseas and I needed a quick replacement as my previous dishwasher broke down and I was alone with my kids. I went out and bought this cheapest bottom of the range machine to help me with my immediate problem not… Read more
expecting much from it as it I though it would be a temporary solution till my wife got back, and now a year later I'm still using it and have been amazed by it's fantastic cleaning results! I never rinse my dishes, they go straight in and I always use the short 90 setting and get perfectly clean dishes every single time. If I had read all the negative reviews before bying it I would never bought it and now that I have I it I feel that it has been badly discredited by the majority of people with their bad reviews. I would highly recommend it, and for the price you cannot get better value.
Somehow we didn't notice it only has one wash spray arm and therefore NOTHING on the top rack gets washed. It was absolutely a waste of money and water. Was recommended this brand by a Fisher Paykel repairman. I will tell everyone to avoid Solt Brand. Show details
This product sold to my wife by “the good guys” is advertised as a dishwasher. faulted out and left wet and dirty dishes. If we used repeated washes as suggested by a repairer then some dishes in certain hot spots would have baked on crud I would then have to soak and hand wash anyway. This appliance increased kitchen cleaning time and was close to giving my family food poisoning after a well intended visitor put away the dishes after the machine stopped without properly inspecting them for cleanliness. It was too dangerous so I have replaced it with a similar priced German dishwasher and it’s immediately cleaned and dried the dishes to a like new finish. Solt appliance was a complete waste of time and money.
Solt GGSDW6012S / GGSDW6012W – This dishwasher is affordable and leaves the dishes sparkling clean. It has an extra dry button and offers various cleaning options depending on the intensity. absolutely in love with this one; it comes with a warranty and fits perfectly into my busy schedule. I didn't want to spend too much, and this has been a great choice so far.
Terrible – Absolutely disappointed with this dishwasher. Dishes come out just as dirty as they went in, and it seems to be more of a dish-rinser than a dishwasher. The cycles take forever, and the machine barely dries anything. After only a few months of use, it’s already making strange noises. I expected better performance and reliability. Horrible, most horrible – This is the worst dishwasher I have ever encountered. Half the time the top rack does not wash properly. kitchen twice. Nothing dries properly - even when using the ‘extra dry’ function. It is a heap of crap and you’d be better off hand washing.
Don't waste your money on this machine – Don't waste your money on this machine. It is garbage. Owned it for a year and has stopped working twice. Warranty is with resindetia group and they are very hard to deal with. Machine itself is easy to use but top rack never cleans properly and dishes never dry properly either. I usually rinse dishes before putting them into the dishwasher. I would give them no stars but there's no option for that Show details
Washes my dishes, two year warranty, bricks and mortar reputable seller – Cheapest dishwasher I could find from a Bricks and Mortar store (good guys) @ $419 in white with a two year warranty. I spent a further $85 on a warranty extension from 2 years to 3 years. So basically I can relax with an operational dishwasher for the next three years for $504, and if it fails, I take it back to my local Good guys and they swap… Read more
it for another, or give me a credit note towards another because this model is too cheap to bother trying to repair. If it lasts longer than three years, that's all bonus. Sure, it's a bit feeble at drying the dishes. Anything plastic is still wet, and pots and pans are still wet on the inside even after pressing the 'extra dry' function. It's a little noisey for a washer, but it has a delay button so you can set it to run in the night. The bottom draw falls off it's wheels if you pull it out wrong. I only use it on the two highest settings and use quality tablets and it washes up fine. I am a believer in buying things to last a long time, but the problem in my experience is that some top dollar dishwashers are not delivering the longevity that they should. I could have spent five times as much, but it does the job for a fraction of the price. It's closest competition is perhaps the lowest spec Hisense model which feels more substantial for about $549, or step up a lot higher to a Fischer Pykel from $999 upwards. I recommend this cheap dishwasher if you are on the tightest of budgets, and you don't expect a $419 dishwasher to be amazing.
Truly, truly dreadful and emotionally draining – This dishwasher is a nightmare. Not only is it hands down the worst dishwasher that I have ever had the displeasure of having to use, I would say that in my entire life, I have never encountered an appliance that has such a large mismatch between its intended use and its actual performance. I have been using the product for over one year now, with… Read more
approximately one wash every 5 days, so about 75 washes or so. During that time, the dishwasher has never managed to achieve a complete clean of my dishes. The most common issues are food residue remaining on dishes (occurs in ~75% of washes), wet dishes (60%) and soap residue regardless of soap type used (60%). These issues have been stubbornly persistent despite my multiple attempts to provide the dishwasher with all that it needs for success, including using an intensive or heavy load setting, cleaning out its filters and pipings, washing it through with drain cleaners, changing the type of dish tab used, and pre-rinsing and even partially pre-washing dishes. All of these strategies have been ineffective in convincing this dishwasher to deliver upon its intended purpose of washing dishes effectively. Dealing with this dishwasher is an emotional roller coaster beginning with anxious anticipation and fear before inevitable unsurprised disappointment and anger at both the dishwasher for again duping me, and at myself for allowing myself to be duped. Even now, I harbour a naive hope that one day it might deliver me a clean load of dishes without the need for me to rinse off or further clean them, and allow them to dry on the drying rack. Save yourself the anguish and disappointment, and avoid purchasing this lump of abominable disappointment disguised as a household appliance.

pages than i did on their website. When i went back to them with a possible solution they were happy to send me the part free of charge (after saying there were no whitegoods service technicians near me). But refused to give me instructions on how to change the part. Or even remove the bottom kick plate so i can access the underside of the dishwasher, and find the possible cause. I was then given a random number of a technician that may be able to guide me through it over the phone.... only to get no answer and no reply to the message i sent. i then advised support of this and was told we have no instructions sorry. What a waste of money and time.
Don't ever buy one! – Solt dishwashers are absolutely useless for cleaning dishes.. The water is NOT hot enough, the dishes NEVER dry, and the dishes and cutlery are NEVER clean.. The Solt affersales team are even less useful.. Blaming my choice of tablets and stacking arrangement! Oh please, I've had dishwashers all my life.. So patronising. All the above comments agreed by a trusted qualified service mechanic. He basically said they are not fit for purpose. Show details
Terrible – Worst dishwasher I’ve ever come across. Doesn’t wash or dry and runs for hours. Also doesn’t fit the usual plates it it. Obviously a terrible design. Don’t waste your money! Show details
Disappointed all over again – I bought this 2 years ago and hated it from the moment it was installed. Waste not wash not – Purchased an department with the Solt dishwasher included Certainly a long way from the best dishwasher we have owned It just does not wash the dishes Sometime we run the cycle several times Definitely “clean” any excess food from the plates prior to placing in machine Even with rinsing prior to using the dishwasher Sadly We would be better to wash the dishes etc by hand Show details
This is my 3rd dishwasher in 10 years, I'm giving up on name brands and expect 3 years of this – You get what you pay for, but I don't mean this as a negative: Since 2014 we have had now 3 Dishwashers: Bosch German Made model, was about $2300. still leaks, and the sump gasket has deteriorated, even if it does stop leaking out the door, I have only a few months of running. I could have bought 7 Solt or similar dishwashers at this price over 10 years.
A call out to an LG repairer was to be $200 + parts and labour. It was cheaper to drive to Good Guys, buy the cheapest dishwasher, have them load it in the car free, and just expect to buy another in a few years.
We have made a plan in our household to not do 2 wash loads a day and wash manually more. I've used the SOLT twice: Using basic Finish Tablets.
It washes well, the glasses seem better than how the LG managed. It's loud when filling up, but the majority of the cycle is fine It has FAR less insulation inside, way lighter and cheaper manufacture. The appear to have copied a Miele front seal system, so hopefully it won't leak.
The lights on the front panel are impossible to see lit up unless you kneel down and look directly at the washer.
It has a 2 year warranty and frankly I don't know if I care if it fails after that
SOLT and Esatto (Bunnings) are owned by the Residentia Group and these appliances are much the same.
