My new machine fits the space perfectly, it looks good, but the performance is unsatisfactory. The filter always falls off, from the day I got it. Washing tangles even when trouser legs or garment sleeves are folded to the inside the clothing.
Follow-up · I prefer items sorted by colour and type so I do not have very big loads. The filter seems to stay in place for a very full load. The items always tangle.

removed at almost any time. It can be filled on any program,left to soak then restarted on any program later The bad: The controls are stupidly complicated. The wash action is really weak!! Some clothes NEED to be soaked to get properly clean. The delay timer is ridiculous.It works on start time rather than end time,so you have to mentally calculate and add wash time to the number of hours selected.Also it works on whole hours only

Follow-up · Ok the soak function was a fun surprise. Thought my wash was done, but no. No big blankets accepted. Only small or you will damage the mechanics. The digital stuff always gets me, I'm not good with technology, but it has pre programmed settings if that's easier for you. You can choose your own wash style also . You can just spin , or rince or wash, it's your choice. Great single person washer.

detergent with no clothing as per the manual instructions. I had foamy water on the floor as a result. Their technician did the same and issued a $165 bill. They should never advise to use a detergent when no clothing added. Residentia Group are satisfied with it, they generate an income as a result and avoid warranty repairs. This is a significant safety risk including electrocution, especially for the most vulnerable people. I reported it to ACCC and will publish the update here.

cheap second hand. That was unbreakable and washed well, I then sold it for the same price I bought it and moved into a smaller place.
Compared to that, this Solt machine is terrible, it doesn't have an agitator, that vertical column in other top loaders. Just a disk thing on the bottom that turns. Clothes get all tangled and intertwined, stretching and wrinkling them to the max. It can't handle actual dirt, like bits of grass, hair, mud, stains and if attempted, you will need to vacuum out the inside to get rid of all the accumulated mess. I need to resort to manually wash really dirty clothes with my own hands, like I was living in the 1800s.
I was going to throw out an old stiff/coarse bath sheet but stumbled across a solution, if I add the towel to every wash I get much better results, I'm guessing the towel's friction against other clothes makes washing work better. But still, I'm looking forward to getting rid of this washer soon.

Update 2023, Well very impressed with the washing machine. I have had no problems with it, and it's still doing the job even with a heavy loads, as I only do 2 to 3 washs a week it's a awesome machine for the price.

WORST WASHING MACHINE EVER MADE – I absolutely hate this washing machine. It is so complicated! The simplest functions are not clearly displayed, making it tedious to navigate through unnecessary programs. The buttons don’t even respond when pressed. My clothes are shrinking because of it. Setting the cold water option is incredibly frustrating. I feel like I've wasted my money and want to throw it in the bin!

Just buy the better quality washing machine – We have only had the washing machine for just over 2 years and there is now an error code on it saying the lid isn't shut when it is. Don't buy if you have...pets....kids ..are is someone who actually gets dirty – Purchased YESTERDAY... still on them, towels were shaken off before washing,also definitely do not buy if you're prone to pet hair on your clothes, I have fluffy guinea pigs so not even THAT much hair, but low and behold the little guinea pig hairs remained after washing, will need to take extra time before and after wash to make sure any grass and hair is removed, the spin cycle is pathetic, towels were still quite wet, even with a second drain and spin, results were the same. Thankfully it's getting warmer so daytime drying shouldn't be a problem, I unfortunately didn't get a choice in which washing machine was purchased, but hopefully this helps other people. Because for a family this machine isnt that great, is much more suited to someone with a quiet life who doesn't really get dirty and definitely doesn't have pets where they may get some fur on their clothes, definitely not someone with kids who get dirty Also for a brand new machine it is quite loud. If I was choosing a brand new washing machine, I'd forgo picking this one, and go for something else.
Terrible machine – This machine is so difficult to program. It's just not worth the stress. I've had it for a week and still trying to do my first wash. I had someone out today to explain it but even then when it came to actually washing it just stays on the same timing and everything continues to flash. Worst product / Goodguys – I purchased this machine 26 months ago from goodguys and it stopped working now. Water leakage from bottom and loud noise possibly due to breakage of belt inside. We were alaways carefull not to put more than 5kg of clothes , caused us excessive water and elec bill and still it brokedown. Disappointed – I havent had it 12 months and the washing machine isn't spinning properly my clothes are coming out dripping wet . Yesterday when I used it it also had an electrical burning smell so now I'm scared to use it . Wondering if there is a warranty with this machine ? As I am at a loss as what to do.

Not spinning correctly – This machine has not spun all of the water from the clothes from brand new. After the spin cycle is finished the clothes are still dripping water so I have to reposition the clothes around the bowl & finish the wash on the "drain & spin cycle"

apparently the lid is not shut properly and this is triggering the fault mechanism switch, which is behind the back of one of the hinge lids. There are only a few pieces of clothing in the machine (I live alone) and I only do very small loads. When it was working it worked okay (did what I needed it to do) but now it doesn't work at all, and I have to take my laundry to Kadina, which is a two hour round trip! I am also currently unemployed, so cannot afford to buy a new machine. NOT HAPPY!!!
Cheap and nasty – This Machine's power plug was too short to reach my PowerPoint. The car clip for the pump hose was missing. It has no reset button and if a cycle is disturbed one has to start the wash all over again. The instructions say to press programme and temperature together, but doesn't work.
