Sonos Move 2
MPNs: MOVE2AU1 and MOVE2AU1BLK2 reviews
Underwhelmed – Thought I would be more impressed with the sound quality after purchasing the ARC a few years ago. Can’t really say it’s much better than other (and cheaper) Bluetooth speakers I’ve owned before
Purchased in at JB Hi-Fi Retail Stores for $543.
Connectivity issues and only average sound quality – So my experience started out well enough, good sound quality (NOT excellent like other SONOS products, it really is missing mid-range/vocal ability) easy to connect and use, however it was not long after the original setup the connectivity via Wi-Fi became an issue. The sound when connected via AirPlay, or the unfriendly SONOS app, started to drop in and out, regardless of where the device is placed... I am currently in the process of dealing with SONOS customer support, who have been very helpful, however the attempted changes you need to make to your router in order to get the product to run smoothly is beyond acceptable! I did research the brands and started the SONOS journey with an ERA 300 and SONOS AMP, which both work perfectly on WiFi, however the Move 2 does not and a web search will show this issue with many, many other users. I will pause buying SONOS products for the meantime; SONOS could release a software update to fix this well known issue and I will wait for this... But at this point in time I do not recommend the Move 2 to anyone despite all the good reviews you see when doing your research. Make sure you listen to the device before purchase to ensure it's particular sound profile works for you...
